Leider ist dieses Programm nicht zu gebrauchen. Ständige Abstürze und absolut unzuverlässiges Abmelden beim Beenden haben mich dazu veranlasst das Programm nach einem Tag wieder zu löschen.Hoffen wir auf ein besseres IM Programm...

This app is a little disappointing for all the reasons mentioned by others here (mainly that it doesn't support background notification) but I'll keep it installed and see if they release an update that uses Apple's notification server and see how that works out. In it's current state, it's only useful to send a quick message. It's impractical to leave it running to receive messages.

It wouldn't let me add screennames and it wouldn't tell when my friends were actually on. If I started IMing one of my friends, it would crash.

This works great after the update! I wish the msn kiddies would stop giving this app a bad rating tho. It's made by AOL! They have no connection with msn so why would they support it.. Complain elsewhere if msn is what you need.

AIM ermöglicht es unterwegs exzellent mit Freunden in Verbindung zu bleiben. Mit der sehr gelungenen Buddyliste ist schnell erkennbar, welche Personen online sind und für einen Chat zur Verfügung stehen. In der Buddyliste sieht man außerdem persönliche Status-Nachrichten unter dem Namen jeder Person. Personen aus der Buddyliste können zu den Favoriten hinzugefügt werden, was zusätzlich zu einer besseren Übersicht dient. Man kann leicht auch selbst eine Status-Nachricht in sein Profil schreiben. Es ist zudem möglich, ein Bild aus seinem Fotoarchiv als Profilbild zu benutzen. Mit einem iPhone kann man sogar unterwegs ein Bild machen und dieses direkt verwenden. Die einzelnen Chats werden übersichtlich aufgeführt. Man kann durch ein simples Wischen nach links oder rechts den Chat wechseln. Ich hoffe noch auf eine Übersetzung ins Deutsche und eine Funktion, neue Buddys hinzuzufügen.

wow please change this. the app wont even let me sighn on. its very annoying and frustrating. this app needs to be programed a lot better no bugs , no crashes , no nothing. FIX IT .! and it also needs LANDSCAPE.! Installed AIM when I first got mine and my wife's phone - no joy, couldn't get any visibility in buddies or on my Mac Mini.Installed the update, played around a little with the accounts on the MacMini - I think this is an important step as I had no luck still while just setting this up on the iphones. Once the accounts were set to stop spammers - and only using the buddy list, sent a few test messages and voila! can now instant message between both phones - so now, no need to use SMS.If you also go into settings and make sure "Sign-off on Exit" is set to off, this will ensure you can receive messages while AIM is not running.A Really great app; thank you!

Not a bad app but the inability to receive messages when not in the app is disappointing. If I leave the app and someone messages me I just get a blank message when I come back to the app. Hopefully this will be resolved.

It's ok, when it works. Sometimes the app will freeze trying to go back into it, sometimes it takes 4 times to open the app back up. This may or may not be the app's problem, but I get connection issues, when I have 3G, and sometimes when the app is running or open, I lose 3G, when I'm in a perfectly fine zone any other time. It sends 2 "IM" sounds when I recieve 1 instant message with push ntifications, and when I open the app back up to view the message, it beeps again. Too many sounds.
