Reviews:
No fixed income? By: Yghtsfh - 16-Jul-2008 Version: 1.1 No fixed income?
Great By: Info junkie - Mar 23, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 Easy to customize and easy to read for fast info. And the price is right!!
Great app - lots of features By: dinkola - 16-Jul-2008 Version: 1.1 One of the few apps that seems to have good attention to bug reports and updates. Much better than the standard stocks app. Love the large graphs when phone is rotated on a stock.
One of my fav apps! By: CK10018 - Mar 22, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 Simple design and best in their class reporting. Love it!
Fantastic application By: Cench - 15-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Has everything I need for a mobile device.
That's it! By: Gulliverz - Mar 22, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 Search and wait no more. It gets the job done. Fantastic app.
Potentially good, essentially flawed By: Andrew in Brum - 14-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Good idea, good the way news items display in the app rather than jumping to Safari. However, crashes out when trying to add to portfolio, therefore very difficult to use as a worthy replacement for the pre-installed stocks app.
Incorrect calc of gain/loss By: Pulawy - Mar 19, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 I got the app today and entered my stocks, but it doesn't give accurate reports of the gain/loss according to the current prices of the positions it lists.
Crashes By: Mark McRobie - 14-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Crashes back to home screen when I try to add my own stocks
Missing stocks By: Air kevin - Mar 18, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 Good app but many preferred stocks such as RBS T and N and Citi R don't seem to be accessable. Thinking that Bloomberg might be using a different convention for entering these symbols, I tried using the email support feature on the website but received no response.
Brill By: M.Finch101 - 14-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Absolutely amazing app. Easy to use, good looking and very usefull. Just don't get too blue about all the red!
Stock prices not updating By: Rferzola - Mar 18, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 I've been using bloomberg for a while now and I'm very pleased with the app. However, this morning app stopped updating last trade price on the stocks. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
Good but not as good as the blackberry app By: Nulix - 14-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Good stuff. It's a pitty they couldn't add more of the Bloomberg anywhere apps which finance professionals are used to though. No IB, no TOP, no WEI which all are available on my blackberry. Not bloombergs fault though, none of that would work without push data.
yay By: Dorkmo - Mar 18, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 informative white on black
A massive disappointment By: RJ-EC2 - 14-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Bloomberg for Blackberry is a MUCH better tool than Bloomberg for iPhone. Although the iPhone offering look amazing, the functionality is so limited, it is of little or no use to users of the Bloomberg Professional Service or Bloomberg Anywhere. Sharpen up Bloomberg -- add currencies, commodities, IB, messaging, monitors.
Fantastic By: Shooksrunllc - Mar 17, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 This is fantastic way to keep up on the market. If you have even a passing interest in the economy, you need this app.
Best By: Keu123 - 13-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 Very good application...and free
Upload too slow By: hhussein - Mar 17, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 please fix.
Good start.. but.. By: madeinstein - 13-Jul-2008 Version: 2.0.6 Briliant L&F but far far away from Blackberry version thus only 3 stars. Looking forward to IPhone version of Blackberry Bloomberg I'm convinced it's going to be 5 stars. I need this to convince my company to replace blackberry ;)
Great app By: King frank3190 - Mar 16, 2009 Version: 2.0.6 This app gives accurate info and backround info on the company
Must have app for equities coverage By: saintsim - 13-Jul-2008 Version: 1.0 For equities prices, market news and charts this is the best app currently available on the app store.
It fits the apple look and feel making the app intuitive- except for the full screen stock price chart which you can access by rotating to landscape mode from the stock description page. Something which is not obvious or indeed documented- but once discovered is a very nice feature.
As the title alludes, the app seems to have been written primarily for the equities market and so lacks coverage in other areas such as commodities or currencies. Hopefully this functionality will be available in a future release.
