Night time...??? By: ooshnoo - Sep 30, 2008 Version: 1.1 If it's night time, and the sky is clear, then why is there a picture of the sun, instead of the moon?
Very good app; one major suggestion By: HardKnoxIL - Sep 29, 2008 Version: 1.1 I am very happy with MyWeather Mobile. It performs as advertised and has a nice interface. It would be a more complete weather app, however, if it included severe weather information. Those of us living in the Midwest would certainly appreciate it! I would suggest having a notification on the home screen (perhaps different small icons for different alerts), a link to perhaps the NWS alerts page, and severe weather boxes on the radar images. Otherwise, this app is well worth the investment. Thanks.
Rip off By: N Credit - Sep 27, 2008 Version: 1.1 This app leaves a lot to be desired. It's too expensive and the info it provides it's inaccurate. I wish I hadn't bought it. Its designers have their work cut out for them. My suggestion: Don't buy it; you can get reliable info from Accuweather and Weatherbug for FREE.
Good app, can improve By: BarryOToole - Sep 27, 2008 Version: 1.1 Good interface. For being the most expensive weather app, it needs: 1. International cities; Fizz ($5) and Wbug (free) have it. 2. Ability to turn 'My location' off, since it's useful only for travel. If these are done and the price drops, I'll give it 5 stars.
"Guts" are there but needs work By: bairda - Sep 26, 2008 Version: 1.1 This application has the UI and "guts" of a good weather application but needs to fill them out to warrant the price. The interface is excellent; easy to navigate and read. The use of the landscape mode for trends and radar is a great use of the iphone screen. Flick scrolling for data is well implemented. Overall the layout and usability are great and don't need much improvement. However there are many areas where additional (and accurate) information plugged into the interface would make this a great application...and one worth the $$$.Areas that need improvement include:- accuracy of the weather data. Temperatures are often in the 5-10 degee range of error (mostly being on the cool side). This is a VERY significant drawback. The data pool that this application is either just plain inaccurate (when compared to every other weather source) or the calculation used in the application for temp is implemented incorrectly. Either way, MyWeather LLC needs to fix this ASAP. If you want to use the application, add 5 degrees to every temp you see and you should be close to on target.- The forecast across the bottom needs to have the "date" for each day and the ability to touch that date for a more detailed forecast. Right now you just see a day, an icon broadly indicating the type of weather forecast and a high/low (which as noted above is 5-10 degrees off). Touching the date should bring up a detail screen with a description of the weather for that day, the high/low, precipitation chance, wind speed, "real" feel (with humidity and wind factored) and optionally sunrise/sunset and moon phase- The trend screen needs to be able to be extended to a five/seven day period.- There needs to be weather alert screen notice and detail for the application. This needs to be able to navigate to details for the alert.- There should be a choice of radars including visbile, doppler etc as well as animated for each. This has all the makings of a great application. But as it stands right now it is not worth $15. More work in the areas above should remedy this.
Well made but lacking in options By: wadedwalker - Sep 26, 2008 Version: 1.1 Overall, this app is very good. You can have multiple locations all listed in one location, see the trends of the rain/winds/etc, and more. But one thing that bothers me is you do NOT have the ability to turn off the automatic location-based "MyWeather" which is the weather readings for wherever you are located. This is something I would like to disable as I would rather just have a list of locations. If I was traveling, then I might want to have that feature on. Otherwise, I dont see the point in listing my zip code and having my actual location thats a 5 mile difference from the zip code origin also listed.
Forecast Temps not accurate By: woodsdj - Sep 25, 2008 Version: 1.1 Excellent overall...but forecast temps are not accurate, often off by 7-8 DegF ( eg. for 85377 -WeatherBug app is more nearly correct).
Wondeful App, Very Pleased By: rainonyourparade - Sep 25, 2008 Version: 1.1 First off, I'm a weather nut and as soon as I got my iPhone I went looking for the ultimate weather application. MyWeather Mobile is it. I waited to type up a review after the newest update was released. The cool blue color scheme is very nice and easy on the eyes. You can customize your own list of cities on the main screen. The update that enabled you to expand the current conditions for each city is great. The trend tab is pretty cool too. You can get an idea of what to expect in the day ahead. Also included is the radar tab. When you rotate your device, the full screen animated radar comes up and its AWESOME! You can view a severe thunderstorm directly over where you're at. Incredible. The price bothered me a little at first, but once you have it and play with it you'll understand its completely worth it. Just the fact that the developers actually listen to and take advice from their customers makes it worth it if you ask me.Suggestions:On the main screen it still has a bright sun at 3:00 in the morning for current conditions. Proper time of day icons would be cool. Please, please, please add an alert system to the app. I can't stress this enough. It would be fantastic for your phone to buzz if a severe thunderstorm watch (or something similar) is issued for your current location. This could actually save lives if it's implemented. It would be cool if under the forecast tab, you could tap each seperate day for a small summary / detailed forecast or chance of rain. It would be better if the pressure was in inches, not millibars.Still, what a wonderful app. Great job team, keep up the good work, hope for some more updates in the future.
Very nice, but there's always room for improvement By: Migital - Sep 24, 2008 Version: 1.1 I was a little skeptical about paying $15 for a weather app, especially considering most other offerings are modestly priced (or free), but the UI is beautiful, has plently of functionality, displays plenty of information in an easy to interpret way, and is, in my opinion, worth the $15 price tag.As of the 1.1 update, the extended trends view when the phone is turned horizontal was one thing I was hoping for. The improved speed is also a plus, as the previous version was a little slow fetching the data and switching views from vertical to horizontal would often hang for a few seconds before rotating. I also really like the extended data for each location. As good as this program currently is, I'd like to see these things improved:- Make the widescreen radar map easier to read, and include a key so we know what we're looking at. Currently it seems scaled to the wrong resolution, making it blurry and difficult to read.- Fix the load time for the widescreen radar map. Currently, it loads at low resolution, then pulls back for a wider view, then loads the radar animation frame by frame, and it takes far too long to do so.- Give the option to view satellite imagery, or a plane map with borders. Microsoft Virtual Earth's satellite imagery is far too dark, and it makes it difficult to view the map in bright sunlight. Why not use Google Maps?- In the extended information view, I'd like to be able to change the air pressure from millibars to inches of mercury, since not everyone uses millibars. If these issues are fixed in the next version, this app would definitely deserve 5 stars. As it stands now, it gets a 3 star rating because the radar is almost completely useless and needs some serious attention, especially since this is the most expensive weather app in the store.
Decent but needs work. By: RPNtys - Sep 23, 2008 Version: 1.4 The last update is a great improvement. I still have issues with the current location not updating when I travel to a new city, and sometimes it gives me something completely wrong (like San Fran when I'm in Denver!)The weather data is not saved when quitting the app, which makes it not much better than a web app. What if I want to check the forecast again while I'm on an airplane? Not sure where they get the data. It is not consistent with the National Weather Service forecasts, and less accurate.Forecast data is limited with not much more than temps and sky conditions. We need probability of precipitation at the very least. I suggest a detailed NWS text forecast for each day that shows up in the forecast mode when you tilt the iPhone sideways.Nice job with the frequent updates, I expect it to keep getting better. The interface is awesome, but the data is still lacking. Not quite worth the $15 to me yet since I still have to check other sources for detailed forecasts.
Best weather app in store, bit over priced By: apprisktaker - Sep 23, 2008 Version: 1.1 Definatley the best of all the weather apps, especially with the 1.1 update! I very much like the detail of information I get from this app. For the weather geeks. A bit over priced. Also, I find the radar maps to be too dark, low contrast between land/water. Also wish you could change the color palette for the app, not crazy about the green.

Very nice By: cogitoergomac - Sep 23, 2008 Version: 1.1 Relatively expensive compared to other apps, but worth it. The radar graphics are excellent, and the full-screen landscape view is too sweet. The Trend view is also a nice touch. The user interface is nicely done. As much as I also like the free Apple weather app, and even enjoy swiping the pages, this is a much more efficient interface for my money. As others have noted, the data comes up quickly, and use of the Location Manager has always been on target for me. My big wish: international locations.UPDATE: The best just gets better with 1.1. Faster, with more cities, better trending and precipitation. Using contacts for locations is sweet.
pressure in mb????? By: jbrjbrjbr - Sep 22, 2008 Version: 1.1 The new features are just great, particularly the instant detailed review per location. Unfortunately, nobody I know of, nor any radio or tv station, quotes barometric pressure in millibars! We all are completely using the universal inches of mercury. PLEASE make this change ASAP!
Simply awsesome By: webgod - Sep 22, 2008 Version: 1.1 Title says it alone. I sail and use the radar feature daily!
Update: Not so bad after all; in fact, pretty good By: required nickname - Sep 22, 2008 Version: 1.1 Had to re-stert the phone. That helped a lot. MyWeather now seems to work reliably. I apologize for getting it wrong the first time. I now say 5 stars.
You Missed 5 For 1 Reason !! By: rebels302 - Sep 22, 2008 Version: 1.1 Great App only streaming radar you will find which is amazingly helpful, as far as problems the developers are dealing with the weather and computers so guess what its not perfect all the time you're not buying a doppler radar or something..... That being said BEGGING YOU PLEASE ADD A PERCENT CHANCE OF RAIN ON THE FORECAST DISPLAY !!! Showing rain does not say anything but 100% chance and I have to use weatherbug to get the percent if this app had that i would use nothing else - Mike
Update 9-22
If they are updating what everyone asks for then I'll ask again for a feature that should be very simple % chance of rain PLEASE !! your clouds covering the sun and lighting bolts/rain look great but are worthless in a world of numbers
Great app, good update...but not perfect. By: Tjm276 - Sep 22, 2008 Version: 1.1 I have been using this app for a couple months now and it is great. The recent update significantly improved the app but it is still missing two things. The first is severe weather warnings/alerts. Second, the forecast section needs to include a probability of precipitation percentage on days when rain is forecast.
Once these two things are added this will be the ultimate weather app.
Great App, Good Update... By: sampleinajar - Sep 22, 2008 Version: 1.1 I have been consistently using this app since right around when it came out, and it is (IMO) the best weather app in the store, when it comes to features/ interface/reliability, etc. The update is a huge improvement, and met almost all of the criteria I would have addressed with an update. However, they left out the addition of one important feature, which is a severe weather/hurricane notification. I know a few other people had mentioned it prior to the update, and was surprised when I found it did not contain this crucial feature.Other than that, fantastic application, which is why I am giving it four stars. I look forward to this being a potential feature with a future update.
Good App, but not very accurate in Chicago, battery drain By: bh2699 - Sep 22, 2008 Version: 1.1 The app is very good - radar loop is awesome and forecast charts are great. However, I left the app open, my phone went to sleep and it drained 70% of my battery in about 2 hours. Fix this an improve accuracy and it would be great.
Promises not kept By: Iphone_Junky - Sep 21, 2008 Version: 1.1 I was replied to a while back from myweather after a request to get rid of "my weather" location from the iphone or at least tell us how to get rid of it from the main menu. Its an annoying pop up everytime I access this program. They stated that they had numerous emails about this concern, and stated that they would do something about it in the next version. After the upgrade, they did NOTHING about this annoyance.
Looping radar By: $$$bags - Sep 21, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 The radar is worth it alone!!
