Looping radar By: $$$bags - Sep 21, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 The radar is worth it alone!!
Great App By: nuclear188 - Sep 21, 2008 Version: 1.1 This app is cool and very useful but could have more features. Overall very worth it and they are continueing to update the application over time.
Updated!! By: Goldprime - Sep 21, 2008 Version: 1.1 Updated and 100% satisfied! Can't wait for whatever else that can be added! Worth every cent!!!
great app but... By: willie234523 - Sep 19, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 So far I really like this app... the looping radar is very cool and useful. however .... I cant figure out how to get to the heat index, dewpoint.... etc. That screen doesnt seem to exist. I was looking forward to it. I tried just tapping on a location and nothing happens... everything else seems to work though.
Nice and slow By: lostinbolivia - Sep 19, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Literally. The program is excellent--once it loads. The interface is beautiful and the information exactly what you need. For some reason, however, it takes 2-5 minutes to load my info. Not what you need in a weather app, where the idea is just a quick peep. If this could be dramatically improved, it would be a five-star app
Radar is worth it!!! By: Daguz - Sep 17, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 The motion radar is well worth the money. It is able to locate you anywhere in the USA. I wish it was international but still very good. Hold your phone upright and you get the forcast, when you turn your phone it will go to the radar. NICE!!
Anyone who complains about the price as their main issue should get a job. This application isn't perfect but updates are still coming and it is the best weather application out there.
Living in the Chicago/Midwest area requires you to be up to date with severe weather. Unlike hurricanes, tornadoes give little to no warning. Learn to read the radar and you can at least know how severe the storms will be.
It has already helped me once. We were expecting thunderstorms and when I looked at the radar I was able to zoom in and see the dark red area was going to be over my city. Within minutes the tornado sirens went off. Very good app!
Improvements would be a more accurate futurcast. Time on the radar loop, if rain or snow is possible it would be nice to know the % or how much snow is expected.
Still get 5 stars, keep up with the updates and the good work!
Wish I would have not purchased - Now I am glad I did By: IPhone D - Sep 16, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I am very sorry I purchased this application. Not only is the Radar worthless... the forecasts must be derived from a 3rd grader. They are about 10 deg off from any other forecasts.UPDATE 9/15/08This is really only good for the radar. The forecasts are wildly inaccurate.UPDATE 7/23/08Just installed the update... my opinion has changed 180 degrees. Everything is fixed that I was having problems with and the Radar loop works great. You can zoom in on the radar also. THIIS IS NOW A GREAT APP.
Great weather app but missing a few vital features..... By: Fototravis - Sep 15, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I like this app, but its missing being able to see a detailed forcast. I still have to go to the free Weather Underground for that. I think an app of this caliber should have this information. Plus I also side with the others, it needs the weather alert information again Weather Underground has that.
Great App... By: Live4NYY - Sep 15, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 This is a wonderful app and does what it says. The looping radar is phenomenal and the trends are useful. CONS: Still no weather alert feature which I know is strongly requested by others including myself, no detailed forecasting (example- precipitation percentage), and the updates are few and far between. I just hope the next update will bring some of the aforementioned features and then this will be the perfect weather app for iPhone. UPDATE: I expressed my concern with an email and got a response within a FEW HOURS! Excellent service and I got some promising news for the future. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.
Fantastic moving radar By: joefrat - Sep 14, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I really enjoy the moving radar. It loads surprisingly fast and panning the map works very well with just a drag of a finger. Double tap to zoom works great too. Looking at a forecast only tells me so much - show me the radar and I have a much better idea what's coming and when. This app is worth it for the radar alone. Would love to see more information added to the maps. Precipitation forecast, temperature forecast, wind speed, etc as overlay options onto the map interface would be great additions.Well done.
One of the Better Weather Apps, but.... By: iphone4me - Sep 13, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 This is probably one of the better weather apps on the iPhone. However, I'm not sure the value is good when balancing features vs. cost. I'd like to see the bottom section of the screen used for forecast/trend/radar be larger.
MyWeather By: JW4449 - Sep 12, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I'm a touring motorcyclist eho needs wather every day without knowing my zipcode. This app is perfect! The radar map (horizontal) is unbelievable!
Crashes every time By: pilateISadog - Sep 10, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 The night I loaded it, it ran fine. Now today, with strong storms approaching my area, I look to see what's coming and when. However, this $15 app crashes every time. It attempts to load the weather for the two cities (neither of which are actually mine since it doesn't register my city!!) I selected, then back to the home screen. Very disappointing. I am a bit of a weather nut, hence the fact that I paid about 15 x's more for this app than any other. However, even for the one hour when the app did run, there's nothing about it that makes it worth 15 bones. Don't get me wrong, it had the potential to be a decent app, but honestly, we've all found some amazing apps for .99 or FREE. I really hope that the programers find a way to make this worth the money - like a little virtual woman that comes on the screen, greets me for the day, and tells me if I'll need and umbrella or not. Now that would be nice!
And then?? By: Jomet - Sep 9, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Decent... No current or projected (day/night) weather descriptions, no u/v, no heat index, etc... This app has extremely limited features, hopefully that will change soon. Radar rocks, unfortunately I feel like I spent $15 on it alone...
Hey developers what the hell By: VENL8R - Sep 8, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 15bucks I still can't find my home city do you guys even read this stuff? Frisco, CO 80443
I haven't bought it yet becauseI definitely want looping radar, i keep seeing the hints for a possible upgrade and would be very disappointed if it werent true.::::::::::::/then I bought it
Wow unbelievable, money well spent!
My only complaint is my area isn't in the database developer I live in 80443 frisco co silverthorne breckenridge please update. Excellant program can you add hurricane tracking and snowfall totals for specific areas like resort reports? Just throwin a few ideas out
Radar Map Too Dark By: bobluck - Sep 7, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 App would be almost perfect if user could select display type for the radar map. App is uses sat image currently, IMHO a street map background would be more helpful and easier to see.
Best weather app I've found for iPhone By: Imateviewer - Sep 7, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Works well, looks great!
Weather By: Racct - Sep 7, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Great app, love the radar graphics. Just wish they had weather alerts.
Absolutely Awesome weather app!!! By: darcal - Sep 6, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 This app is great and the UI is awesome!! I was hesitant at first to purchase this app being that its a whopping $14.99, but after reading all of the positive reviews I decided to go for it. I can honestly say it was a purchase worth the price. It really is superior to the other weather apps (Weatherbug & the default yahoo weather app that comes with the iphone). It gives great detail with hour by hour (2 hours actually) precipitation, temperature, and wind forecasts selecting the 'trend' option. The one thing I would like to see different however (hopefully in a future update), would an option to remove or hide the 'MyWeather' location. 'MyWeather' basically is at the top of the list of the locations you add and is suppose to display the weather in your current location wherever you are by locating your position via gps. Only thing is I'm usually in one of the cities I added and that 'MyWeather' ends up pretty much just being a duplicate forecast. I know its probably only a minor thing to some, but its annoying and I'd like the ability to remove or hide that and just see the cities I've added myself. Otherwise, everything else is awe-some especially the moving radar clouds!!
Best App By: Rusty32 - Sep 6, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I love this App. It has every thing I need to track my weather. I live in Texas so I need Satellite also to. That would make this App the only one I need. So I could have only one, right now I have three.
Funny By: rah711 - Sep 6, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 You know it's really comical to browse through the assorted apps and the various reviews. It just amazes me to read some of the reviewer's complaining about something as cheap as a 99 cent app. Some of them really seem to do some deep soul searching to determine if they should take that huge risk of laying down a dollar. Jeez, everything being relative is it that much of a major decision considering the price you paid for the phone to begin with ?... Anyway I like this app. very much and these programmers deserve a pat on the back for the great work their doing.
