Funny By: rah711 - Sep 6, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 You know it's really comical to browse through the assorted apps and the various reviews. It just amazes me to read some of the reviewer's complaining about something as cheap as a 99 cent app. Some of them really seem to do some deep soul searching to determine if they should take that huge risk of laying down a dollar. Jeez, everything being relative is it that much of a major decision considering the price you paid for the phone to begin with ?... Anyway I like this app. very much and these programmers deserve a pat on the back for the great work their doing.
has problems when on the 3g network By: Bubbagumps comments - Sep 5, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 half the time the radar wont even work when on the 3 g network.very disappointing...while this may not necessarily the apps fault its a huge drawback..the radar is very important to me.
Great Apps!!!! By: T. Chan - Sep 5, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 It is better than weatherbug and it has radar condition. I think it is worth it. It is too bad. It doesn't have any weather condition and forecast for international.
Poor forecasting By: ScottsterS - Sep 4, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Good radar looping though.
VERY, VERY INCONSISTENT DATA!!!! By: johnny_utah - Sep 4, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I feel bad for the average person who will read two reviews stating "great graphics", or "what a great app", and go buy it. If you actually use it, and compare data - it is very, very inaccurate.Post 2: the longer that I use this app, the more inconsistent and terrible I realize that it is. The forecast is ALWAYS off for the coming days. Right now in my area it says that the forecast for Saturday is going to be 82. NOAA shows that it will be 92, and over the last several weeks this has been the case, and NOAA has been closer. What is the point of this app???POST 1: i let the app use my location, and then in the app preferences found the city I am in - Fort Worth, Tx, and both of the forecasts are different (even though the dots on the radar are fairly close). On todays forecast at 2pm- one tells me 83, the other 85, which isn't terrible, what IS frustrating is that 4 hours ago it said the high was going to be 72 for the day! Tomorrow's forecast calls for 83 degree weather in Fort Worth, but letting the app use my location (in Fort Worth) it says the high will be 90! That's a big difference! For a $15 app I feel ripped off.I also don't like it that when there is a chance for rain, it simple says "Chance For Rain" or "Scattered Showers" or "Light Rain" and doesn't give me a percentage of the chance. I have to go elsewhere (NOAA) to find out if it is a 10% chance or a 60% chance.
MyWeather Mobile **Excellent App** By: coougarr - Sep 2, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I have downloaded several other weather apps and this one is far superior. Great features like automatic location weather, detailed forecast, and animated weather maps. My only suggestion would be to add precipitation percentage to the daily forecast tab. Over all great app. Definitely worth the money!!Edit: I have been using this app for several weeks now and I need to downgrade the rating to 4 stars. The app is very well designed and the looping radar is wonderful however the forecast is way off. I thought it was just a glitch at first but 90% of the time the forecast is not even close. Example it rained for 3 days strait and the forecast showed sunny skies everyday. Still a great buy for looping radar but hopefully the next update will address the forecast issues.
Perfect for tracking AZ monsoons By: My AZ Opinion - Sep 2, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 The other night Phoenix had 75mph winds, so I got motivated to invest in a fairly high priced app. This app is incredible! I made sure the Apple map GPS had a solid blue ball over my house, and then I launched the weather app. An orange dot was exactly over my house, and I could see wave after wave of intense thunderstorms literally marching down the street. I also notified my parents who live 20 miles away so they could prepare for the storm. Today is Labor Day and it was amazing to watch Hurricane Gustav just miss a direct hit on New Orleans. I would highly suggest this app for anyone with an iPhone 3G!!!
Zip Codes, please By: chaatie - Sep 1, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Lots of goodies in this app. Love the animated radar. At first i wasn't crazy about the Microsoft Visual Earth graphics because they're kinda dark, but the zoom is impressive. It'd be nice to have the option of a simpler visual like that of Google Maps because it's brighter and not so congested. The biggest shortcoming of the application is the inability to select location based on zip code. Weather for major cities are based on the location of the airport. In locations like the San Francisco Bay Area, there are so many microclimates that this makes for inaccurate conditions and forecasts. It may be foggy by the airport, but several degrees warmer and clear downtown. The other thing I'd like to see added to this app is percentage chance of precipitation, humidity, and maybe windchill for cold spots like Buffalo.Otherwise, this is a pretty cool and useful app. Long range forecast, temperature trendline for the day, and MyWeather for conditions and forcast wherever you may be are great features. Something for the weatherhead in everone! Just hope they make it searchable by zip code to make it even more useful.
Great App-My first app review By: BLKWater - Sep 1, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 After reading so many other app store reviews written by people who have not even purchased the app! I am running this on 8 gig iPhone "classic" with aprox 2 gigs of free space. This is the coolest app. Makes the iPhone look a Star Trek "Tricorder" ( ok so I grew up with Star Trek "Classic & Next Gen. With a commitment to add new features, I think the price is fair. You get what you pay for. My Weather Mobile Weather, is a quality, well designed application. As a Travel Consultant My Weather Mobile Weather is going to be an amazing useful tool in my business, I need International Weather.Ok big wish list items here.1) Allergy season/ Air quality alerts are important. Mold spores , Tree, Grass and Rag weed, OZONE air quality and UV Index sun would be helpful.2) Is it possible for this app to cache Weather data IF no signal/no WiFi is available? Helpful if one wants to review weather data while under ground in the NYC Subway or on 3 hour domestic air plane flight.3) I will believe the amazing development team @ "MyWeather, LLC" that an International Weather Update is coming?4) How about AIRPORT Weather? As you know the weather on in New York City may be fine, but the weather over Newark Airport in Newark , New Jersey could be fogged in. I would love to be able to add three letter Airport codes to see local weather.5) Something 'unique' how about weather for major tourist destinations that may not be specific relative to any one city for example local weather at "NYC's Central Park", "Walt Disney World Resort" in Florida. WDW - FL covers geographical area the size of the state of Rhode Island! The resort is so large, different theme parks and Disney Resort hotels are spread out across Kisseme, Lake Buena Vista, and Ready Creek.
LoveApplications By: New Iphone user - Sep 1, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 JUST got this application after reading feedback for all weather applications (tough choice). So far so good! The graphics are great as is the ability to customize my favorite locations by touching the "i" in the lower right corner of top box. The radar is amazing! I can pick anywhere in the country using the great iPhone interface and "pinch" or "expand" to get the level of detail I want. I'm already watching Hurricane Gustav approaching the Gulf Coast - sigh. I can view the 7 day forecast and trends of any of my locations. Very user friendly.A few things would make it MY perfect weather station:1) ADD airport delay information so that I don't have to buy the other application.2) ADD alerts or serious weather information3) ADD the actual NAME of "MyWeather" location so that I know I'm looking at the right place.4) SPEED up the loading.5) ADDing moon phases and tide information would make me do cartwheels.Thank you.
i LOVE this app By: slayer24 - Aug 30, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 for some people it is slow but when i used it (mainly for gustav) it did basically real time accurate forecasts i love it!
THIS APP DON'T WORK FOR INTERNATIONAL USERS By: Phelipe.h - Aug 29, 2008 Version: 1.4 I spend US$14 on this app and don't even search for int cities. This app MUST TELL that work only for Us residents.
BEST Weather App! By: EvenStephen2000 - Aug 28, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I have both this and Fizz. I like them both. However, this is the best one, hands down. It's worth the money and it works the way every app should (i.e. very smooth UI and very intuitive in its simplicity). Highly Recommended!!
Fantastic App By: Dorsalina - Aug 28, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 This is one of the best applications out there. I loaded this up the day I bought my iPhone and totally love it. No problems whatsoever. Everyone is amazed at the detail it provides on the radar screen. I'm hoping the update will include rain chances in the forecast, but the absence of it is just a peccadilo! One of the MUST HAVES on any iPhone!
Where's the weather outside US By: selector34 - Aug 28, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I needed the weatherforecast for a city outside US. Not there. That must be fixed to improve it's rating.
What I expected and more By: satxweather - Aug 26, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 This is an amazing product which all iPhone users and iTouch should have!
Better than average with potential… (Updated) By: Digital Dude1 - Aug 25, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Ok, I’ve been using this App now for a week or so here in Italy and I still like it despite it’s limited utility (no International Forecasts). Until it reaches beyond the US borders, it can’t be my only whether App. As stated before, it would be really nice to see multiple temperature modes (Fahrenheit and Celsius) displayed on the same “one screen” format as the multiple city locations. The cost of the App didn’t really bother me although I thought it would have stimulated quicker updates.Regards,~DD
GREAT BUY!!! By: jpcalvillo - Aug 25, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Several programs I have purchased for my iphone have been just for fun...but not really worth much. This program is worth the money and has proven to be a valuable tool. I highly recommend this program.
Disappointed in this app... By: Stevie Ray AKL - Aug 25, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 Before I even bought my iPhone, this app caught my attention. The example pics looked amazing and I thought the radar was the coolest thing. After receiving my iPhone, I bought the app and a few days later was very disappointed in the following:
The MyWeather location is 300 miles off from where I am located.
It is currently 10:30 PM and all my cities show sunny skies.
When zooming in on the radar it is a little laggish. Yes I have 3G connection.
It was raining today and the precipitation trend showed 0 inches of rain.
I could keep complaining but I will stop. Definately not worth $15 but have high hopes in the next MyWeather update. I still recommend the app but If you don't have $15 bucks to spare just wait until the update.
Dont Waste your time By: marsbar569 - Aug 24, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 I live in miami, and this slow waste of $15 didnt even show a trocical storm approching. Forcast showed light rain!
Nearly perfect By: rjay179 - Aug 24, 2008 Version: 1.0.2 This app is well worth the price, the animated full-screen landscape radar is incredibly handy. The visuals are great, and it is snappy, even over EDGE. The app will be completely when/if it implements critical updates via push when available for severe weather. Living in Florida, all these hurricanes and tropical storm poses a threat every year to me and my family, and this app will come in handy many times.
