Worth the money
By: aloshka - Jul 13, 2008

Great features including fullscreen radar on rotate as well as current location weather. I'd say the other reviewers confused on some features r earlier versions didn't work as well. My only wish was during loading of tempature, show the previous tempature or somehow load faster. But otherwise awesome!

Some slick features

This is a pretty slick app showing trends and a very pretty radar interface (can zoom, pinch, flick, etc..). Trend lines are neat and I've not seen in other applications. The one major shortcoming I've found is a limited city list. In addition to the problem not identifying which state a city is in (issue has already been discussed) the actual list of cities is limited and some major cities are missing. For instance, I live in Honolulu, HI which is NOT listed (we're by far the largest city and the capitol city) but Kaneohe and Hilo (much smaller) are listed. This seems like it should be something that could be very easily and quickly updated.

Great App!

I am very happy that I bought this app. 1.The graphics are rich and beautiful and the weather information comes up very fast. 2.The GPS function works great -- it automatically found where I was and displayed that weather information first, including showing radar for my area in the mini screen. 3. I can see the weather information displayed on the entire large screen just by turning my phone sideways. 4. I can see the whole country if I want and double-tap on other locations on the map that interest me and zoom in. It is very responsive. 5.The trend graphs are very nicely done, I can see what future weather is coming with just a glance and the handsome icon tells me the rest with just a glance. Excellent design, very fast and I can customize it for what interests me. Very pleased, well worth the money.

'give us your money now, we'll deliver the app later'
By: ValQuest - Jul 13, 2008

The abstract (and website) says you can zoom in on the radar screens "down to the street level". I haven't been able to zoom in beyond an area of what must be several hundred square miles. What am I missing? I also don't care for the way the point you're trying to zoom in on doesn't stay centered when the map re-draws.The list of available towns you can enter is rediculously small. Unless you're physically there (and the app uses it's GPS function - which is nice) you can't find out the weather of anything except MAJOR metropolitan areas.I do like the look and interface of the app, but it simply has been rushed to the app store too soon. The company says as much in their own FAQ when they explain they only had 2 weeks to create the app (and that is why they use the sun to show night-time sky conditions - they didn't have time to draw a friggin' moon). I was looking for a great weather app to show off my phone. While this app could get there someday it simply isn't there now. I've purchased and compared this app and Fizz Weather (at $4.99). I'll be using Fizz Weather when I show off my phone to people. To the good people at MyWeather, LLC I would say 1)Lower your price - The app as delivered does not compete and I, as a customer, feel resentful of spending my money with you. And 2)Keep improving the app. The look and feel has the POTENTIAL to make this dominant in the category. For now my recommendation to others is DON'T BUY.

Pretty Looking, good luck with locations
By: Djoyce101 - Jul 13, 2008
Version: 1.0.1
Wow, what a waste of $15. I want to know the weather for the beach and lakes near me. Good luck with that. The locations are VERY VERY VERY limited. Even "MyWeather" based on My Location is pulling data from a weather station nearly 15 miles away, and NOT the weather startion that is 2 blocks from me. This is one app that I'll be trying to get a refund on.

Provides conflicting weather reports
By: Charles Willson - Jul 13, 2008

If I punch in my location it provides the nearest source of weather data. If I let it detect where I am it provides completely different results. One of these scenarios should be considered highly flawed.

A functional program with a clean interface
By: Brad Larson - Jul 13, 2008

This application takes on the unenviable task of competing with one of Apple's built-in programs and does a very good job. The user interface is elegant and presents information in an easy-to-read fashion. Even without the soon-to-come radar loops, the radar itself works very well, using pinch zooming and location detection to present information in a far better fashion than the other weather applications I've tried. Personally, I consider it well worth the money.

Don't skimp, this app is worth the extra cash
By: mattxxxxxxxx - Jul 13, 2008

II've been using weather.com/iphone for a few months. I am also aware of other free websites such as weatherbug and accuweather. This app takes the cake for a weather addict...I can't pinch out of any websites to see what else is coming. This app is expensive because it's detailed, complete, and acts how it should. Thanks myweather.com!

Almost worth it
By: Jason Wendling - Jul 13, 2008

Pros:- Detailed forecast- Detailed and quick radar- Uses GPS to find local weather- 6-day forecastCons:- Cannot search by zip code for favorite cities (this is stupid not to include)- Some people may not like the graph forecast rather than text (I like it)- No radar loops (yet)Comparison:- WeatherBug has problems loading the radar and does not provide as good of a forecast (3 days versus 6). The main display page on WeatherBug is awful. Why make a page you have to scroll down on as default? Why do they dedicate 50% of the page to wind direction - which most people ignore - and make you scroll to see the forecast.- Apple (Yahoo) default weather is awful. No radar, no forecast - I wish I could delete it.

Great app.

As others have commented the two issues that seem to be ones I'd like to see fixed (display city name and state) and looping radar are on the way - got a note from the developers. Rotating the phone gives you the entire screen as a radar map - very nice touch! Plus you can zoom in and out (from US all the way down to the street. This means I can replace my 3 different radar windows with 1. The trends feature is cool too. If you are considering purchasing, it is well worth it. The low scores seemed to mostly be misunderstanding how to use the app or things that should be addressed shortly.

Very pretty but...

WAY too much work to get at any info beyond temp.(wind, precip etc). WeatherBug is great but no wind.Gonna give FizzWeather a try...

Could be very cool...

15 dollars and it can only find Philadelphia out of the 8 cities I tried. I'm in southern NJ, not out in the middle of nowhere!

Not as advertised
By: PeteReview - Jul 11, 2008

I purchased this application for the 'stunning radar loops' and don't see any of them. If this had been a dollar application I could get over it, but I paid $14.99 for this non-existent feature.

Animated weather doesn't seem to work?????

HD quality RADAR?!!?
By: Taterific - Jul 10, 2008
Version: 1.0.1
What a joke! The RADAR display is so tiny you can barely see any detail unless you are zoomed in - and then the coverage area is too small to be useful. Also when adding a new city where several exist: Wilmington DE/NC/CA. There is no indication of the state where you must choose from the list. It simply lists "Wilmington" three times! Anyone know how to get a refund?
