Not Accurate Anymore By: gilly777 - Jul 8, 2009 Version: 1.5.3 Update 07/08/09: App current temp is accurate and the ability to see what weather station the app is pulling data from is great. I hope to see Push Notifications utilized in this app in the near future.
Radar is nice and the app used to be accurate when it first was released. For quite awhile now the current temp and forecasts are way off, usually by ten to 15 degrees. I'm in a major city, so the app should be able to access the correct data. This app can only be relied upon for its radar functionality. As of now, the weather chanel app, along with most other weather apps, are tremendously more accurate. Even with the recent update, the app is stunningly incorrect with its data.
Love It By: SuperDeano - Jul 6, 2009 Version: 1.5.3 Nice looking app. Looking forward to radar loop.
Buy Buy Buy! By: greenmymac - Jul 5, 2009 Version: 1.5.3 I bought this app when it came out and all I can say is move over other Weather applications. MyWeather Mobile tops them all. The detail put into this applicatoin is amazing. Looking forward to what new things come our way.
Best Wx App By: hgbancroft - Jul 5, 2009 Version: 1.5.3 Best weather app period.
Once the Best, MyWeather Has Been Passed by Other Apps By: kcjazzlark - Jul 4, 2009 Version: 1.5.3 I purchased MyWeather Mobile when it cost $15. And then it was the best weather app in the store. More information, better organized, and the best weather radar of any application. But it has long since been bypassed by less expensive weather apps sporting better organization and more information. As MyWeather Mobile has added information it should have offered from the start, such as the chance of precipitation, it has inelegantly shoehorned in the new features, muddying the interface. Meanwhile, it inexplicably lacks other critical features, such as weather alerts, long since incorporated into its competitors. Many of those competitors offer succinct written descriptions which are quicker to digest than MyWeather's descriptionless graphics. For instance, seeing a graph predicting inches of precip each hour is interesting to view, but The Weather Channel's hour-by-hour listing of predicted temps and percent chance of precip is information presented more directly and usefully. MyWeather still has the best radar. But that's the only feature where it remains superior to many of the weather apps introduced since it first hit the store.
Mobile Weather App Support Link By: Irish2dabone - Jul 2, 2009 Version: 1.5 I wouldn't normally post this as a "review" but the My Weather Mobile App link for Support does not appear to me working. Keep getting a msg that this server cannot be found?? x 4 accessing it from iTunes when you open the Application. My reason for visiting this support link was to inquire when the My Weather Alert feature was going to be released? I received an email from you that it would be released with the R3.0 realease and PUSH capabilities...? My experience so far with My Weather has been good locally and Mobile App has great potential... but receiving a Weather Alert 15-30 minutes before severe storms hit us would put this miles ahead of others on the market. This past week in West Central Fl would have made this a great feature with all the storms, etc that rolled thru causing tornados in the area. Thank you
It's a good weather app By: Blasetony - Jul 2, 2009 Version: 1.5 This app does what I need it to it gives me a good forcast and a moving radar. That's all I need
Flawed By: Brandon Schalk - Jul 1, 2009 Version: 1.5 The app has a great interface and is very stable. That's about all it has going for it, though. As other reviews have stated, the temperatures are consistently wrong-vey wrong. Most forcasted lows this week for my area are at least 10 degrees lower than any other projection. Current conditions are even innacurate. Because it is a weather app and provides you with flawed data, allong with the fact that they charge you $10 for it, makes it a 1-star app. With accurate reports and a $3.99 price tag, it would be a 5-star app.
UPDATE By: julian v - Jun 30, 2009 Version: 1.5 the ui of the ap is great and looks nice but people dont want looks nice they want fng ! accurite weather I check 3 yes diffrent weather apps 1.weather bug 2.USA today 3.and the default weather app all 3 had the accurate I was looking for all the same weather and this was off by like 7-9 degrees what's up with that no listen I'm not putting down the devolper but c'mon please updte this good potential app please you have the tool to update don't be lazy were giving you money for an app that is nowhere near accurate so please update
I wish I could love it By: hanzinator - Jun 30, 2009 Version: 1.5 Always crashes and takes forever to load. Hate it.
Nice- But Looking Forward to Updates By: iPhonedale - Jun 29, 2009 Version: 1.5 Overall a nice weather application for the iPhone including the trend graphs and easy to navigate interface. In addition to the rumored animated radar maps in an upcoming version, I'd like to see a satellite view. When living in a costal city the satellite tells a lot more about the forecast than radar that only reaches a few hundred miles off the coast line. Some indicator that it found your GPS position would be good too. Otherwise its about the best of the App Store weather applications right now.
Radar Slow and most time unresponsive By: 01fish - Jun 29, 2009 Version: 1.5 I was quite impressed with this app when I first purshased it. Around I year ago.
For the last two months radar slow and sometimes totally unresponsive.
This happens in landscape mode nearly all the time.
Would not purchase this app again.
Decent Weather App but Overpriced By: seibikitei - Jun 26, 2009 Version: 1.5 Disclosure: I've tried the default Weather app, The Weather Channel app, this, and Weather Bug Elite.A decent weather app however compared to some other apps the value for money is not there. I switched to MyWeather Mobile after The Weather Channel app introduced in-app ads (and before they had a paid version) because I would rather pay a developer rather than use a a free app with ads that block valuable screen real estate. MyWeather Mobile does it's job adequately, it presents the information in a very nice looking UI however I soon discovered several things that it lacks. There are no written forecast descriptions and does not display weather warnings should any be issued for your area which are deal breakers for me especially after spending $4.99. All in all a decent weather app if all you're looking for is maps and forecast with just highs and lows. A very nice UI but definitely does not present as much information as some other, less expensive options.
I use it daily. By: DanielDanTastic - Jun 25, 2009 Version: 1.5 The weather app that ships with the iPhone is crap. I put up with it, then I gave weatherbug a shot. This one is by far the best. I live in NYC, so if it's sunny in the morning it could be pouring by afternoon or vice versa. A simple daily report just won't cute it. The trend graph feature breaks down temperature, precipitation and wind speed by the hour. If you travel a lot like I do, you can also keep track of where you're going, all on one screen. The friend that referred me to this app bought it at $15 and said it was worth it. I bought it at $10 and it was worth it. Now that it's $5, it would be silly not to get this app. I usually tell people to get it the second they get an iPhone.
My weather no MyHater By: TaderZ - Jun 24, 2009 Version: 1.5 This app it's very slow and, the radar takes forever to load...the weather in my towns (in CT) are alway inacurate. One day time it told me it was raining our, when I was sunny all day...idk I just don't get it..not worth The 5 bucks for my opinion, I'd rather get the free versions they are a hell of alot faster
MUCH Improved By: Dtruly - Jun 24, 2009 Version: 1.5 The latest update makes this the best weather app. Radar display improvements, especialy the time stamp are most helpful.
Two improvements will earn the fifth star from me: 1) daily hi/lo and precip data and 2) animated lightning strike map.
Temp predictions are often laughably wrong.
Save your money wait until fixed By: monomon - Jun 20, 2009 Version: 1.5 This software was ok before the last 3 updates. It keeps on getting slower with a 5 minute delay of radar images. And you have to load all the 7 day forcast before the radar will open. You can't zoom in on radar. If you want radar I suggest looking at the other apps. My Weather need a time stamp on the images, an option to view radar first, a stop action and faster loading radar. The storm has passed and the image it several minutes old.
Don't rely on the hourly forecasts By: jbodoff - Jun 19, 2009 Version: 1.5 I have used this app for several months and really want to like it, but the inaccuracy of its hourly forecasts makes me switch off to Accuweather and Weather.com apps. While the app may predict rain for a certain day it oddly shows no precipitation in the trend portion of the app ... for the entire day. Why can Accuweather and Weather.com get this right and MyWeather Mobile not? We should all expect better forecasting from a $7 weather app.
Great app, but as stated before it needs a bit more to be EXCELLENT!! By: Tminc - Jun 16, 2009 Version: 1.5 I love everything about this app, but 2 things-I have an itouch, and I would love to have the ability to disable the current location "MyWeather" since I do not have location based Wi-Fi.-I would also like to have a "shake" reload or even a button to reload if i am tracking a storm instead of exiting out and refreshing that way.Other than that it really is my main source for weather news. Good Job! Keep it up!
My weather By: RJV1 - Jun 16, 2009 Version: 1.5 Terrible is almost never right. Forecast is almost always wrong.
Great interface / Poor forecasting By: edoxey - Jun 14, 2009 Version: 1.5 As far as interface goes, this app is top notch. If you're like me and mostly interested in current conditions and forecasting, then this app is extremely poor. For example, the 48 hour forecast had the high listed @ 68 in my town while the NWS had it listed @ 82 and surprise surprise, the high was 82. When contacted, the support was great but when asked about the problem with the current conditions (which is inaccurate as well) and forecasting, they claimed there were no problems, so I don't think they're going to fix it anytime soon. Question is; when will the NWS make their own app?!
