Reviews:
Great interface / Poor forecasting By: edoxey - Jun 14, 2009 Version: 1.5 As far as interface goes, this app is top notch. If you're like me and mostly interested in current conditions and forecasting, then this app is extremely poor. For example, the 48 hour forecast had the high listed @ 68 in my town while the NWS had it listed @ 82 and surprise surprise, the high was 82. When contacted, the support was great but when asked about the problem with the current conditions (which is inaccurate as well) and forecasting, they claimed there were no problems, so I don't think they're going to fix it anytime soon. Question is; when will the NWS make their own app?!
should be better By: telemachos - Jun 13, 2009 Version: 1.5 There are no weather text alerts/warnings, unlike in the free apps. As others have noted, there is a problem with the accuracy of reporting current weather conditions: for example, it showed cloudy for my area for at least an hour while it was *pouring*.Update 6/13/09. Again, I don't understand how some users can claim that this is a much better weather application than the others. Our expectations should be high because this is expensive (although fortunately the developers have brought its price more into line with other apps since a debut at a ridiculous $14.99). But again, this program has serious deficiencies: its weather reports are less accurate (the precipitation data is a joke), there still is no support for international weather reports, the developers refused to provide weather alerts because they were waiting for Apple to implement their push technology (surely some sort of alert mechanism is better than nothing!), and frankly, other apps provide *far* more information concerning health and safety risks than this one. Let's take the free AccuWeather, for example. It has most of the same features as MyWeather but offers a much larger radar map and in addition to weather alerts, a host of 6 different risk indices indicating severe weather potential over the next 8 hours plus UV/Air Quality indices. And so what if the My Weather developers have promised international weather and alerts: their pace of development is glacial and lags behind that of other apps that cost far less.
Disappointed By: RangerRanger - Jun 12, 2009 Version: 1.5 I bought this app when it first came out. Nice design and concept but completely inaccurate forecasts and the radar is constantly 30 minutes to an hour old. Forecasts are constantly 10 degrees higher than it gets here. I even emailed my concerns to the developer. Don't waste your money. Wish I had my $14.99 back :-(
DO NOT BUY THIS, worthless By: Suckered in - Jun 9, 2009 Version: 1.5 This app is crap. Can't get any European cities, which you can even get on the app.which comes with the iPhone. Total waste of money. Want my money back. Weather Elite is much better. It gives you bad weather alerts even, which is great if you live in hurricane or tornado prone areas.
What a waste of 5 bucks By: Billsjoyce1 - Jun 7, 2009 Version: 1.5 The sole reason I purchased your app was for an alternative for Stinson Beach CA weather, that it can not be added is pretty darn frustrating. You should be able to key in any zip code & get the weather for any city in the world. I can get Stinson Beach from Yahoo Weather & The Weather Channel apps, both of which are free. In terms of many apps from Itunes $5.00 is on the higher end of the spectrum. Whats up with that.
This app is crap. By: Fredman22 - May 31, 2009 Version: 1.5 Save your money. This app loads slowly, the radar is no better than those found on other free apps (in fact, AccuWeather's works better), and there are no special functions that merit the $5 price. At most, it's worth $.99.
Outstanding weather radar By: duman95 - May 28, 2009 Version: 1.5 The weather radar on this application make it worth teh $4.99 price ALONE. Outstanding map and very up to date moving radar images. Update adds % chance of percipitation which is great. It usually the most accurate. The wind trends graph over 36 hours is great if you are a sailor and are looking for wind direction and speed. Overall a great weather app.
Best Application for Day Sailing By: Goin' Green - May 24, 2009 Version: 1.5 Many thanks to the developers of this software for the radar section. Sailing in Florida can be in one moment peaceful and in the next moment quite exciting and/or dangerous. This app gives me up to the moment accuracy and the information I need for the decision to keep on cruising or batton the hatches and bring the sails down. Would be 5 stars were it not for the last update. The zoom feature on my phone snaps back to the regional radar quickly. Is there a patch on the way?
Forecasts way off By: ej223 - May 24, 2009 Version: 1.5 It's a nice app, but fails to do the one thing it is meant to do - give an accurate weather forcast. The Trending is nice, and it would be great to have a full screen radar view. I would give it a 5 if the predictions were accurate, but when it forcasts 90 and doesn't reach 70 there is a problem.
The perfect weather app for summer! By: EllieMan - May 23, 2009 Version: 1.5 This is great for tracking rain storms and ideal for the summer! Now when I am playing golf, boating or with the kids at the park, I can easily see and plan for rain by looking at the amazing live radar. Thanks MyWeather!
Animated radar great for motorcycle riders By: Usr226 - May 20, 2009 Version: 1.5 For those of us who ride in North America, this app is worth the price for the animated radar feature alone. It's an excellent utility for helping you predict the weather on the road ahead.
If this was soley an animated radar app, I'd rate it a 5. Though I agree with comments saying the forecast data has appeared less than accurate. For a second opinion on that info (current weather, 36 hour, and 10 day forecasts) I also refer to the free weather channel app.

Another Nice enhancement to this product By: MikeMpls - May 20, 2009 Version: 1.5 I have been using this app for many months now and do enjoy it - it allows me to easily see what the temp/weather is like for family and friends across the country by adding their city to the list. The animated radar is the best out there by far. I do agree with some that weather forecast does seem to be a bit off from what other weather sites say - for example - the forecast for next Wednesday - 5 days from now says it will be 90 degrees - but weather.com say it will be 74 - how can there be a 13 degree variance - this is May in MInnesota - I'm going with the 74 degree prediction. (Update - I stand corrected - it got up to 95 degrees today - MyWeather Mobile was right!)
Works perfect By: Mike 535 - May 19, 2009 Version: 1.5 Great app, I use it daily & it's very accurate. Needs a toggle to turn off the "MyWeather" location. It doubles the load time with it on & there's no point in having it there unless I were traveling or something.
needs more weather stations By: zl9600 - May 18, 2009 Version: 1.5 I don't live in a major city or near an airport. So that means my weather is WRONG on this application. I wish it would allow feeds from WeatherUnderground because not everyone lives near a NWS station (an airport). For example: Moab, Utah's nearest weather reading is NOT Moab but Grand Junction, which is TWO HOURS away and out of the desert. Readings can be 15-25 degrees OFF, and that's to say nothing of the actual storm coverage. I wish I had known this before I bought this application. If it improves and allows more flexibility, I'll write a better review.
Updated review 5-17-09 (problem) By: kenrox - May 17, 2009 Version: 1.5 Update on my earlier review. The radar will not stay zoomed in. It's nice that you can zoom into street level on the motion radar but it will jump back ( way back) if you barely move it, say to show someone. It use to not do this
--------------------
Ok, I did buy this app even though I feel the price is too high. But since weather.com recently changed their animated radar to flash, this is the only one available for the iPhone. My 3 star rating is for the rediculous price. But the app itself seems pretty stable and I was even able to get the radar screen while driving through a thunderstorm the other day.
No Zoom For Me By: Richard27006 - May 16, 2009 Version: 1.5 When I pinch-in to zoom the radar view to my location, I may see the zoomed image for a few seconds then it pops back to the regional view. I have to try zooming several times (sometimes many times) before it will stick. I haven't seen others complaining about this so maybe it's just me. If not for this I would give it 5 stars.
Everything is wrong By: Da Badass - May 14, 2009 Version: 1.5 The only thing that works is the radar.. Temps are off, wind, rain are off. I paid 15.99 when this came out!!!
This app is a piece of garbage.
Your own PERSONAL Radar By: Jimthedj - May 14, 2009 Version: 1.5 No other program (that I know of) integrates GPS location and weather radar. You can be anywhere, bring up the weather radar and see where YOU are and the weather radar around you. It is ideal for interstate travel, hiking, or anything that you need to see where the rain is and exactly where you are. Although it is more expensive than most programs, it is worth every penny. It has saved me on more than one occasion.
Radar time By: Chuckecm - May 14, 2009 Version: 1.5 The radar view needs to be timed stamped so that you can see what time the storm was at a specific location. Nice app, the refresh rate is slow.
Doesn't forecast well, temps way off By: V8killerturbo4 - May 13, 2009 Version: 1.5 High temps are usually 10 degrees off, forecast is way off. I switched over to weatherbug and the weather channel which agree with each other on forecast and temps.. It seems that once the day is half over myweather changes the forecast to correct itself.. Haha
As far as the forecasts go my weather predicts chances of rain between 60-100 percent each day, while the other apps are in the 20 percent range with sunny skies. The app Is setup great, I just wouldn't trust it.
Bad app!! By: Kartracer88 - May 12, 2009 Version: 1.4 The temp. Are off,and the forecast is way off!! This guy just taking your money!!
