Reviews:
Bad app!! By: Kartracer88 - May 12, 2009 Version: 1.4 The temp. Are off,and the forecast is way off!! This guy just taking your money!!
Does what is says it will do! By: RonR66 - May 12, 2009 Version: 1.4 Before you purchase an app read what it says it does. This app delivers its promise. This is an awsome app! It has very nice animated radar. I easily found the cities that I searched for by name. I love the auto locate feature. It is worth the money.
Warning: Weather Available Only for U.S. Cities By: coleslawter - May 12, 2009 Version: 1.4 Having owned the app for many months, I recently tried to use it to help me as I packed clothes for a trip to Amsterdam. I was very, very disappointed to find that only U.S. weather was available. For the price of the app, this is unacceptable. The weather app that comes with the iPhone for free is not limited in this way. Nor is the free Weather Channel app, which has replaced MyWeather on my iPhone.
Crapapp for 4.99 By: Mavrick1903 - May 9, 2009 Version: 1.4 Honestly it's nice. Except that it's not worth 4.99 when the weather channel app is free. So why would you do this one when the weather channel app is free? This does give you trend lines. Whoopiee.
Great program/ update below /problem By: Swyxcitx - May 5, 2009 Version: 1.4 I like it a lot. You can figure out a lot from the info here. This plus weatherbug which has a text forecast and a wind vane gives me most of what I need. Myweather has the best animated radar I have been able to find on iPhone. It is also relatively quick to load. I wish other countries would get together to share radar info so we could look all over the world. Thanks! Worth the money to have great radar especially when a storm is coming and I need to see how long I have. The trend line shows me about what time the precipitation will start and when the wind will be at what speed. And temps by the hour. Thanks!!//
4/5/09
In landscape view the hours no longer show up. Without them the info is useless.
cool app, but 1 star to get development's attention (maybe) By: romulox2000 - May 5, 2009 Version: 1.4 Like others, my portrait mode radar image is of the midwestern states - and I live in NC. And like others, my current weather and forecasts are somewhere between "understandably off" and "totally wrong". I'm not saying I want degree to degree accuracy with NOAA, but when I type in my city's name AND geo-locate myself, I don't expect one to say "sunny" and the other to say "raining". Also, the trends, while cool, are several hours off compared to trends found on other sites.I've emailed myweather support regarding my issues; and while I've made some bonehead app purchases, I've never wished I could get my money back until now. I'm hoping we are going to get a real quick 1.5 release. This is an awesome looking app and I wish I could show it off as the best one-stop weather app. However, the fact that my 3 other free weather apps are totally dependable makes me think there's just some dumb glitch in interpreting the data in this release. If not, I guess this app's a scam. Prove me wrong MyWeather.Update 4/30: Even with map caching knowledge, I can't seem to stop the app from showing me the mid west states in the radar. I've never moved the map to those states, I've moved the map back to NC, but a relaunch of the app puts my map back in Iowa. And... The forecast has always been completely wrong for me. I mean way off compared to the local news, websites, and other apps I'm deleting this app and moving on to the paid version of WBug. I will revisit myweather in another update. Gave the app 2* since the company got back to me.
Very easy to use. By: Reitveld - May 2, 2009 Version: 1.4 This app is easy to use, allows for viewing multiple cities, animated radar, daily forecasts, and hourly breakdown of the next days forecast. Very professionally done, and aesthetically laid out. I find it to be a wonderful application which I reference daily. Now go buy the app!
Outdoors Activities By: Turp1071 - Apr 28, 2009 Version: 1.4 I have tried a number of weather apps and find this to be the better of them. I recommend this app to anyone. I do a lot of outdoor activities, mainly fishing, and really would like to see lightning strikes added to the radar. I don't mind fishing in the rain, but don't want to get struck by lightning! Keep the updates coming...
Best App I Have By: Bahunkus - Apr 18, 2009 Version: 1.4 Great interface! Radar is fully customizable...pinch or slide and instantly updates to new location. Hey, it's Microsoft maps but it's unusually dependable.
Go ahead and buy now before price increase. Never seen anything like this app...especially the radar. Most used app on my iPhone....hands down!! Weather Channel doesn't even come close!!!
Excellent and full featured. By: R33 - Apr 15, 2009 Version: 1.4 This the best app I have used for weather on the iPhone. I have been using it since 1.0 and it just keeps getting better. I am hoping that with push notifications comes weather alerts. That will be great. Also looking forward to adding international cities.
Best thing about this app is that it's all in one. Why have a forecast app, radar app, and other weather related apps on your phone when this one does it all.
Highly recommended!
Wonderful app By: Seamanbarney - Apr 15, 2009 Version: 1.4 Best interface bar none. It's worth the money. This app is my go to source for weather.
Great Support! By: Sam Clemens - Apr 13, 2009 Version: 1.4 This app keeps getting better.
Add sunrise and sunset times, a weather alert for severe storms and condition, maybe tidal conditons and enviromental conditions (smoke/smog, allergens).
Please make this app work with push notification for OS 3.0!
TEMPS ARE WRONG By: Snowman_ - Apr 13, 2009 Version: 1.4 Updated for Ver 1.4.. It's still is wrong for NYC.... 15 deg's now. About 2 months ago I wrote the guy who made it and even had screen shots on 3 different sources on how off temps were. He gave a song and dance and would look in to it. All the other free apps have just as much info but not as pretty. This guy is just taking your money.
Forecast data flawed By: Fred19 - Apr 9, 2009 Version: 1.4 I seldom write a totally negative review - but this app has some serious flaws in the forecast area. Example: Today the weather service and the Weather Channel are predicting severe storms for my city. MyWeather says it will be partly cloudy. When I check an adjacent city, it says "test." When I checked today's forecast for Dallas, it said Sunny - but they are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. It shows to be updated and my internet connection is operating well. Use with caution. Not worth the price.
Works well, worth the money By: Cre8ivester - Apr 6, 2009 Version: 1.4 When you consider most of the other crappy weather apps out there, this is certainly worth it.
However, the addition of a SAT/RAD view would prove to be very useful for antiscipating cloud cover and storm direction as well as frontal heading.
Update: new sat rad feature has been added and works well along with the new weather map interface. I would like to see one addition though. If one could tap on the daily forecast panels that would flip to full screen to reveal a worded description of the forecast with weather details that would be sweet. But still very happy with my purchase. Keep up the good work!
Needs severe weather alerts! By: mecomt - Apr 6, 2009 Version: 1.4 This is a good app but it is deficient in not providing severe weather alerts.
MyWeather Mobile By: bayjay6 - Apr 5, 2009 Version: 1.4 Don't waste your money. Weather at the locations I programed was wrong-not even close. Way slow to use and NOT user friendly. Radar was a joke...This app should be permently deleted!
Almost perfect! By: Timo2000 - Apr 4, 2009 Version: 1.4 This is almost the perfect weather App! I'm giving it 4 stars because there a couple of more features I would like to see before I give it the 5 star treatment.
First, like some of the other reviewers have suggested, I would like to see a severe weather alert feature. The Weather Bug app does this and it also informs you by putting a number on App that's on the springboard. A great feature that calls your attention to the App whenever a severe weather alert has been issued.
Next, I would like to see a written description of the days weather. When you are in the "Forecast" promt and tap on that day's weather it should go to another screen that has a written forcast about the weather. Other lesser Apps does this and i would like to see this in a premium App like this one.
The written description should also be broken down in catagories: morning, afternoon and tonight. The previous promts should also disappear as the day moves along.
Lastly, add the sunrise and sunset to the description. If these features are added this will be the ULTIMATE weather App! I will gladly update my review to 5 stars.
Thanks in advance!
Almost Perfect By: skygirl1 - Apr 3, 2009 Version: 1.4 Love the app, but since I own the iTouch and not the iPhone, I'd like to access international cities from home. Bummed that only domestic cities are available.
Money back policy? By: jenfo - Apr 2, 2009 Version: 1.4 I am so dissapointed in this app. I'm a huge weather fan an have been monitoring the apps available for some time. Based on recent reviews, I decided to give this a shot. It's awful! It doesn't update, the weather forecast is off, hourly trends aren't accurate. Last, but not least, I can't stand the look and feel of the moving radar. Those of you thinking about buying this - DON'T. Stick with the free apps like the weather channels app or weatherbug. At the end of the day, they are more user friendly and more accurate.
They Nailed the UI By: BonzosDad - Apr 1, 2009 Version: 1.4 Best user interface of all the weather apps. They nailed it. (sunrise/sunset would be nice).
