This application crashes regularly upon startup. I see other people are having the same problem. I wouldn't buy this 1.0 game until these serious bugs are fixed in an update. (I'm using a 1st gen iPhone with 2.0 software)

Ignores sound settings

Besides the fact that this app crashes regularly when it loads, it also ignores the sound settings. I have my phone on silent, and yet Scrabble ignores that fact and plays sound effects. Even when I go into the options within the game and turn off sound effects, they still play. That makes this game unusable for me. I want my money back, but have no recourse. So, EA, please, please fix this problem so I can actually use this game.

I have no issue spending 9.99 on a good game for an iPhone. It would be money well spent HOWEVER, this thing is not ready for prime time. Whomever did Q&A should be sent back to training school. I got into the game once so it makes it hard to review the features (although I suspect the commentary I've seen is accurate in terms of improving the game). That all said, this game should be a highlight of the iPhone experience and given the corporate backing from EA/Hasbro this is a damn shame...are they spending all their dough going after the Facebook Scrabulous team?

What a waste of money. The program won't even load. I have a phone that is like 2 weeks old. The splash screen loads and the it goes back to the main screen .

Two people cannot play by alternating!!! I had Scrabble on my Treo and loved it. I wish I could return it.

Hasbro just doesn't get it. I don't think anyone who plays scrabble on a mobile device, cares about the 3d graphics. Hasbro needs to follow the KISS rule (keep it simple stupid). You don't need expensive 3d graphics for scrabble. Come on! Scrabble is not "Gears of War". This game takes forever to load, it's buggy and crashes frequently. The annoying graphics, though pretty, make moving the pieces tedious. Especially if you have average grown-up people fingers, like mine.Instead of all the 3d graphics, I would much rather have a function like, the ability to look up word meanings. Or to pick between sowpods or twl.Sadly this game has potential, if only they were to get rid of the stupid 3d graphics and make a simple 2d game. This is what made the now defunct scrabulous so much fun to play and why it was so much more of a hit than scrabbles own online version.

Worked for a while, and it was great. But now it crashes every time I try to start it. Worthless.

Don't waste your money until Electronic Arts fixes the bugs!!!!!!!

Haven't been able to play it once! Startup screen appears and then the application shuts down. Literally have not been able to play a single tile..... Read more reviews...I'm not the only one.

1: Allow us to listen to our own ipod music during gameplay. 2: Allow the "best word" to be an option that can be turned off when setting up a custom game.3: If the phone is set to vibrate, the loading startup audio should be silent.Please fix immediately!

the lack of a dictionary is a serious drawback - and the blankety-blank splash intro plays its stupid music even when your phone is in "silent" mode! this game is a real disappointment.

Get rid of the opening sounds! This is rediculous! You can't turn it off and it still makes noise with phone on silent!

Why in the world does the sound in the intro not go away when the phone is on vibrate?!?!?!This makes it so that I cannot play a good deal of the time I want to. Please fix this.*edit* now giving this 1 star. So many people ask for the startup sound to be shut off for so long. Then they finally did an update and don't fix the number 1 problem?!?!

It has been weeks since many people have called for a dictionary update. Common English words are not counted as real words!! If ea does not update this app then it is an outrage to all customers. One of the things I've always likes the best about apple and I tunes is that you are able to read reviews about things before you buy them so you know exactly what your getting. The other thing is that when customers report problems they are usually fixed quickly and efficiently. After having this long to even update the dictionary so that it includes common and simple English words. We payed money for this game! We expect more than you are giving us out of it!Update the f**king dictionary you idiots!!!!! Lanes a freaking word I want my $$ back!!!!!

Latest update is really buggy. Wouldn't allow me to play an opening word, instead it says that I "passed". Before this update the game was ok minus the fact that you couldn't play your own music which is a moronic oversight.

I loved this game and had no problems at all, but the latest upgrade killed it on my iphone. Removed it and reloaded; tried everything. it starts for a few seconds and before it even allows me to hit "play" it shuts down. Don't buy this program until they fix the latest upgrade.
