Clearly skewed toward the computer. This scrabble allows for some proper names by the CPU and makes up words - is pl a word? Only when used by CPU. Lots if bugs to work out. Pretty frustrating.

Not for serious Scrabble players

We bought two copies, and regularly play 'network' scrabble, and 'pass'n'play' on airplanes. We've played Scrabble almost daily for 40 years.This is not a Scrabble game for people who take regular Scrabble seriously. With the option now of using the TWL, it has gotten much better.However, EVERY single network game, it loses the network connection at least once, making you go to settings, turn off WiFi, turn it on again, then relaunch Scrabble. Very annoying. We hope that now that bluetooth networking is available (3.0) that EA will switch to that for network games, and get around this odd problem, and allow you to play together when no WiFi is available.The dictionary does not allow bluff words at all. There could be a button that says "not in dictionary. Play anyway?" or something like that, that would get you closer to real tournament Scrabble. Or an option that allows you to lose your turn if you play an invalid word, as in real Scrabble.There really should be a word lookup menu, so you could use the app as an adjunct to board Scrabble, and could also check if words are in the dictionary. Likewise, you should be able to set an option so if you try playing an invalid word, you lose your turn, as in real Scrabble. Also, an option to play a word not in the dictionary, when the dictionary is wrong, or you are bluffing--as allowed in real Scrabble.We are so sad that Hasbro has done just a 80% job on this. Come on, Hasbro/Electronic Arts--this is a legendary game, do it right!

Wi-fi does not work for more than 30 seconds at a time. Dictionary and Teacher features are not available during normal play, must play through facebook.DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!!!!!!EA GAMES, SHAME ON YOU FOR THIS BOGUS RIPOFF!!!!!

Server connection issues and bad customer support

I WAS addicted this app until the "cannot connect to scrabble server" issue started. I haven't been able to play through facebook since. According to the EA website, they were working on the problem and would have "a permanente solution...roll out later in the week (dated June 17th) but the problem hasn't been fixed! I am still waiting for a reply to my question...

Awful awful awful support. Take a 5 dollar bill crumple it up and toss it aside, or into the street, and you'll feel better about how you spent it than if you purchase this app.

Started off as an excellent game but but started to crash over a month ago. If it does work, it doesn't function correctly. I've seen earlier comments but no action or update. This needs to be fixed!

The only way you can play with friends is through Facebook. It quite simply doesn't connect and is impossible to fix. If you look hard on their Facebook page it seems like it's a known problem. They should state on this page (before you buy it) that there's a known problem which renders the app unplayable in multiplayer mode, that way people wouldn't have to waste their money.

When playing against the computer it makes it difficult to win. The two letter words it makes are just not even a word. Some words are not even english. Kinda dumb. I would prefer playing with a friend instead with a computer.

I wish I had more to say about EA's Scrabble on my iPhone 3G. I bought it a few days ago to play Scrabble with a Facebook friend, and the app has yet to successfully connect with the Scrabble server - a known issue. My phone and all software are up-to-date and phone has been reset several times, so, it's on you EA....I've yet to explore the local and wi-fi capabilities of the app, but come on, I've got ongoing FB games to play....

It says that you can use it on facebook but you can't!!!!! So why lie about it just because once they have your money u can't get it back? Cheap trick, if you need money that bad just beg!!!!!

Definitely not for real Scrabble players--there's no way to play a word that may not be in the dictionary. Ap corrects those words automatically. No way to challenge with the risk of losing a turn. And the option to let the ap play the best word possible is just lame. Leave these features for the neophyte, but give the pros a way to turn them off!

I had to give this one 1 star. I mainly purchased this to play with friends on Facebook. I've never been able to get it to connect, although my Facebook app and another Facebook game app have no problems connecting to Facebook's servers. I've tried contacting tech support on at least 3 different occasions and addresses (WHY do I have to register to email you or even check troubleshooting FAQs??) and have yet to receive any response relevant to my problem and/or human. Boo.
