I liked this... then the update put ads in. Why even sell it as a paid app if you are going to annoy people with ads? If anything, this makes me less interested in buying other adware posing as a paid game from this company.

The new updates are HORRIBLE!!!! you have wayyy too many steps to change the quick play settings. Just horrible updates. And I don't want to see an ad to see more EA games at the end of every game I play! Horrible updates

Wifi multiplayer does NOT work for new 3Gs phone. When is this being fixed?! I want to play with my friends. The computer isn't fun because it uses words I've never heard of like "shim" and "xi" LAME

Local Wi-Fi connectios don't work

I can't get local Wi-Fi connections to work. I bought this specifically so I could play other people over Wi-Fi, since this feature is broken this app is useless to me and was a waste of my money.

We were happily playing both pass n play for three people as well as playing against the computer solo when I made the tragic mistake of taking the update which took away both of those capabilities. It is absolutely unethical to take away features I have paid for!

My wife and I loved playing against each other, that is until the update. I am assuming that the programmer made a huge mistake and that this problem will be fixed or I think everyone should contact apple and be refunded.

Why would you get rid of being able to play someone else, and being able to play against computer/iPhone? The idea of an upgrade is to ADD features not take them away!

At first I was pleased that they added a Quick Play button in the lastest version. Still a couple of clicks, but a lot better than six (see previous review below). Then I got to the end of the game and couldn't believe my eyes: the finishing screen is a large ad for their other games, and a tiny "No thanks" button that makes it pretty clear their priorities are not your priorities.First of all, this is a PAID app. Has EA not noticed there's a standard — free apps have ads, paid ads don't? Secondly, you don't sneak ads into an upgrade where they did not exist before. That's a slimeball move. The game play hasn't changed, but the overall experience is suddenly a lot less enjoyable. Therefore: one star.===========================================Previous review:The game play is pretty smooth — dragging tiles to the board is easy, and all the features (shuffle, exchange, etc) are easy to get to. However, there are a few hitches that bug me every time I play:The BIG annoyances:1. The load time feels like an ETERNITY, probably not helped by the overly complex loading animation.2. If you want to abandon a game and start a new one, you'll have to click SIX buttons: Menu, Menu, Play, Local Play, No, Play. A much better implementation would be a "New Game" button (with confirmation) that quits the current game and starts a new one with the same configuration.3. Occasionally it refuses to recognize common words: just today I've had it balk at "treasurer" and "renovation." The previous two concerns are matters of implementation, and therefore forgivable, but not being able to recognize and score everyday words defeats the whole point of the game.Smaller annoyances: 1. "Normal" difficulty is too easy, "Hard" is too hard; it feels like there should be a level in between.2. If you use the Best Word feature, it doesn't display the point total for the word. You can get the score by removing one tile and putting it back, but that's a workaround that shouldn't be needed.3. While playing, you don't have a view of your top iPhone bar that shows your connectivity, clock, and battery indicator.

Your new update has made it so that I can not connect scrabble to my wireless network. My wife did not update her scrabble and she can still connect to the net. Now we can't play scrabble together. I guess we'll have to figure something else to do in bed.Bad app. Bad app. I want a refund.

Wi-fi no longer works since the update! My husband and I can no longer play against each other. Until it's fixed, it's definitely not worth the price!

I upgraded and now I see ads, facebook I don't need and now it no longer recognizes my wireless connection( which works for ALL my other aps!) so it makes this pointless. I can't play a game anymore. Do not buy this!!!!! If u already have DO NOT UPGRADE!!!!

Upgraded this game and have not been able to load it since then. It appears to be loading and says it is loading but after several minutes the screen just goes black. I'Ve reported this problem several times in different ways and have received NO response!

I like the new push notification on the Facebook games feature, but even MORE ads for "More EA Games" in an app I paid 5 bucks for? That's ridiculous! Also, letter selection is no longer random in this update. Lots of situations where duped letters are drawn. This update broke the algorithm! Seriously, Apple's Genius feature already markets relevant apps to me, I don't fund it acceptable for them to give me another hard sell at game start and end. If they do, I want my license fee (5 dollars) back!Game play remains good. The UI has been convoluted with disparate buttons, and my real Scrabble board doesn't annoy me to go buy more games every time I pull it out. Thus does!

Two users on an Airport Extreme. 3 crashes and we were not able to play an entire game. It took less than 30 minutes of by the manual use to crash this app. I've already deleted it from my iPhone.

I spent $5 for this stupid app and all I get is ads? The controls are not easy to use and letters are hard to see. Two player mode does not work well either. After the first three minutes of me using it I got frustrated and wanted to throw my ipod at the wall. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!

Useless update!!! Put a dictionary on regular play and teacher feature too! Best word button is garbage still...why make cheating so convenient?!!! Is anyone else having a hard time with pass and play? It doesn't save the settings and u have to "trick or force" it into working properly. I love scrabble and will still use it.... But I don't highly recommend it. Update has to be coming soon cause no one likes the new version .... Come on ea... U can do much better.
