I think this is a very good app and i like the upgrades but I agree that it was a mistake for the developer to try to steer you to their other apps in what is essentially an advertisment splash page with an in your face button taking you out of the app to their website. At the very least I would like to see an option to turn this feature off if not wanted since this is not a free app. Otherwise well worth the price of admission.

I like the changes to the interface. Fewer clicks to get where you're going. I don't understand what they mean by the supposedly-new "notification" feature, though; there's no push notification or email option that I can see. Are they referring to Facebook notifications? The old version already did that, and it's pretty useless to me (like, what, I'm going to launch the Facebook app to see if it's my turn instead of launching the Scrabble app?). And, like everyone else, I think the ads are tacky. All in all, though, it's great to be able to play your friends via Facebook, and I like this app way better than the Flash-based Facebook implementation.I really wish you could get word definitions when playing against the computer like you can in the Palm version of Scrabble.

Overall it's a great game. Basically it's exactly the scrabble board game right on your iPhone/iPod touch. BRING BACK THE PASS AND PLAY FEATURE. we shouldn't be restricted to only wi-fi multiplayer.

Scrabble suggestions for upgrades

Really enjoy it, but do have two suggestions - that you be able to click on the word just spelled (when playing against CPU) to see the definition. As I didn't know some of the words played against me. Also that you could drag/drop your individual tiles at the bottom - the only option now is too scramble them all vs "pulling" them where you want in order to evaluate what you have in your hand.

It's a lot of fun and works nearly flawlessly. The one thing though is that the dictionary is kind of weird. It doesn't accept simple words like 'latin' but accepts off the wall words like 'dogdom.'. It is fun to play against people over facebook but the wifi play doesn't work as it constantly times out.

Facebook integration is awesome

The Facebook integration is great...it interfaces with FB just like you would expect it to. Now if only it had push notifications to tell me when it was my turn after my opponents play...

This is an excellent port of the classic game. The load time is very very slow compared to other apps and the Words with Friends clone. I would think a company like EA could make it way more efficient and include a dictionary, maybe outside of the game in a menu at least. The wifi connect doesn't work very well could be more stable but the FB connect is great.

It is a nice game for all ages. I like to play with friends and family, but it could use some improvement. I constantly have connection problems. Also it would be nicer if we could play with four people. other than that it would be a 5! :D

I have had lots of fun with this application. My only request is that you should add the option to play via Bluetooth. If you are on a plane or at a place without wi-fi, I'd like the option to play with friends as well.

When I " pass and play" with the lady, she uses the Best Word option all the time. Please update to remove the best word option. It's really ruining the game. Thanks

After EVERY I am asked if I want to view other games offered by this company. I resent this bothersome intruusion on a game that I paid to download. I would expect it on a free download. Please stop this annoying and rude feature.

I am addicted. I think I've played this everyday since I got it. This is a great game and does wonders for occupying the time and shortening those long flights. Please fix the wifi and the dictionary and then we'd have the ultimate.

It is great that iPod music playback continues during gameplay, and it's now possible to access some of the music-related controls from within the app!But can we just see what is 'now playing'? If so, I sure don't see how! Very frustrating!

Fantastic app, I play every day with Facebook friends. The Facebook integration is superb, as is the "teacher" button that shows you what your best word would have been after you make a play.There is a feature that's missing and that's push notification. EA needs to fix this asap because the game advertises this option when you start a game. I have to open the app to see if it's my turn yet. So that's why I deducted a star from an otherwise 5-star game.

Error In communication

I love this game but I am getting very tired of it dropping communication in the middle of the game while I am on facebook. It's great to be able to play people from all over the country but it is frustrating when you have to keep logging back into the game because it loses connection for seemingly no reason. Please fix this issue, and the issue of not being able to silence the opening music! Yuk!!!!!!!!!!I am writting another review because the crashing issue is beginning to make this game unplayable. I don't know how much it's going to take for you people to make the necessary corrections. I don't want to stop playing, I want to see the problems fixed!!!!!!!!!Review number 3. Well the crashing issue has been resolved along wit the annoying opening music but we lost the pass and play feature and there has to be a level between normal and expert! When I play normal I easily win but when playing expert I have absolutely no chance!!!!!!!!!! Something seems wrong with that.

Perfect if we could be push notified of it being our turn

I've had this app for about a year and I play it almost every day. I love it, but the most recent update has an annoying problem; it's too dificult to switch from one player (vs computer) to a two-player (pass & play) game. Old version you could easily choose. New version you must edit your "quick play" settings which are buried many layers deep. I can see how they thought most users would use "quick play" for their peferred settings, but at least give us intuitive access to other game options. Secondly: the quantty of "best words" available should be editable. 4 player games have too many opportunities for help.Aside from these two complaints, this I still my favorite app, thank you for making it!
