WiFi Play Is Unstable

We used to enjoy playing this game over wifi, and would have rated it a 5. But with the past few updates, wifi gaming has been unstable at home and we are generally unable to connect in public wifi hotspot settings. This game would benefit from a "pass around" mode similar to what EA has implemented in Trivial Pursuit. Limited to single player mode (because not everyone is on Facebook), it only gets a 3.

Dictionary need work.

This game does not allow many words from the dictionary. The computer spells all sorts of unknown words, but when I put out a word that I know is in the dictionary, it says it's not a word. I could've sworn that "nile" was in the dictionary; or, "gi." When I tried to play these two words, the games said that they were not words. But yet, the computer plays words like "tiki" and "iwis." Love the game though, but the dictionary needs work.

Noise options worthless

This was by far my favorite app and used to play it everyday until recently it started CRASHING MY PHONE! It wont let me play when i'm listening to music anymore, and half the time when im not listening to music it still crashes! please fix this!!! make it the way it was!

Scrabble Crashes on Load!

I bought this game and I haven't been able to play it since. The program splash screen loads and then crashes and returns back to the home screen. --------------------------------------------------*UPDATE* 6/8/2009Game loads when WiFi is enabled. However, now it crashes when trying to sign on to Facebook play.

Where is this teacher feature. It has crashed a few times. That's why I a m reviewing now - can't get game to load! Fun when working.

dictionary lacking

The dictionary doesn't have some of the longer words that you would want to play while playing a solo game. While in a solo game, you would want to set yourself up for really long words such as oxyphenbutazone, which is an allowable word in scrabble.

Imagine my disappointment when I straddled "RATIO" to hit a triple word score and spell "OPERATION" only to be informed by the computer that "operation" was not in the dictionary. This being (one assumes) the same dictionary that let the the computer play "PL"' and "SPEARSIN" but denied me the right to play "BOUY".The game plays well but I'm about to throw it away.

The game itself is fun and it's a great way to pass time and all, but this app has issues. First of all, it kills my battery power every time. I only get like 4 or 5 games in before i get the 20% battery message. Secondly, I can come up with brilliant words and have the dictionary tell me that those apparently aren't in the dictionary, but the CPU can come up with pl and it's a word? Like seriously? FIX IT EA!

Dictionary and Teacher features don't load

I have had this game for a year and updated several times. I play agaist the computer most often. Unfortunately, The teacher / dictionary do not load. I have never sen them!! I liked my treo version better because I could see definitions and increase my vocab.

Decent app, but I am a good Scrabble player and when I play against the computer, the settings basically amount to Automatic Win or Automatic Loss. The desktop version has several levels, wish this one did as well.

Won't stay connected to wifi games. Keeps saying disconnected to wifi but still is. Needs to show all active local, wifi and facebook games on opening page instead of 5 clicks deep. Dictionary and teacher need to be on all games. Expected more from a $5 app.

Decent implementation

The general game play is pretty good. However, I found a few things lacking. First of all, the difference between "Normal" difficulty and "Hard" is huge. I beat "Normal" every time, but I have a very hard time competing with "Hard." Maybe there needs to be an "Intermediate"?The other major gripe I have with this game is the lack of optional rules. Variations on standard Scrabble are staples among my friends and family and not having them really makes this feel like a half-baked game. One of those variations is being able to pick up blank tiles. The other variation is made more important by what seems to be a flaw in the randomness of this game: being able to get a free draw if you have three or more of the same tile. I constantly have three or even four of the same letter in this game. It really seems like the draw logic is busted in some way. Having this rule as a protection would ease the pain at least.

This game is ok I guess. Has the feel of scrabble, but playing against the cpu is not fun at all. It uses words your probably have never heard. It really makes me believe what the other reviews say about the game accepting random made up words. If you have nobody to play with and just want to play solo, this game is probably not for you. Chances are you'll spend your money, play it a few times, and it'll become wasted space.

Needs to use latest scrabble dictionary not webster's dictionary. I'm a scrabble player and this game does not recognize words from the scrabble dictionary. When playing against the computer, my words aren'taccepted from a scrabble dictionary. Please update soon to have game accepting the scrabble dictionary words and I'd give this game 5stars then.
