Constant Connection Error

The earlier version worked great even when used outside the US ( but obviously only if you searched for US restaurants etc) however V2 always fails with a communication error. Is Yelp? blocking connections from IPs outside the US?UPDATE - Connection errors are eliminated if you create a Yelp account and log in. Not overly obvious but once logged in you can use the app without problem.

I have a fuel station, several bars and restaurants and a drugstore right within walking distance. Not more than 300 ft. Yelp claims theres none of this near by. This app is a waste of time and disc space!!!

App would be great if users could control the info. For example edit/add businesses! I have found a few missing businesses in my area as well as a few that no longer exist.

Only lists two restuarants in my town. Both of these haven't existed for years. The actual restuarants that do exist are not even listed. They need to link this app into Google maps as that is correct for all local restuarants.

2 of the 3 searches I've performed have lead me to directions to business that are not correct and no where near the business I searched. Does anyone check the addresses posted or are they just left to the people reviewing them???

I'd have second thoughts about using it on a trip after checking local data and seeing how out of date it is. There are better alternatives.

I really like the concept of this app and it's nice to see Edmonton included in a "city" app, for once! There are quite a few businesses! I really like the "review" aspect and the bookmark and map feature. The funtionality of the app could use some work though, which is why I only gave it a 3 star rating. For example... the back button should be funtional on all pages. Keep up the good work though, you're well on your way to a quality app. :)

This app would score 5 stars if I didn't have to log into the actual site to approve my OWN review on a computer, kind of makes it a pointless to write a review on my phone, people would rather review whilst at the place being reviewed rather than 'approving' their own review when they return home. Other apps do it why can't Yelp allow it? devs?

It's good for finding a good resteraunt, but it says finish your review on yelp.com. Lame. Also, why can't users submit pics of the places? Would be nice and fun to see pics of the places I'm reading a review for.

Although this isn't technically just for restaurants and places to eat, those are the only things that it's good for. Using it in conjunction with AroundMe and Yell.com allows you to get a good idea of all the businesses around you, so get all three!

I had an earlier version of this app. It then prompted me to upgrade so I did, only to find that this "upgrade" requires the new version of the OS. Now I can't use this app at all and I can't get back to the older version that actually worked on my phone. Completely unusable.

The app has quite a few bad review but personally I feel that it's pretty good. One thing that people are missing that it needs the users to keep updating the site with new places and reviews of the places that you visit.

Cant post directly from Iphone and can't manage your profile, and reviews not showing up on Iphone when there is a review on the website. (Actually all 4 of my reviews are not showing up). Needs work.

Yelp deletes reviews

I signed up for an account, took a pic of my favorite restaurant and gave it a great review. A few weeks later I see my review is deleted. Do not use this service. I am very dissapointed in yelp.
