Pants. By: 3rd Rock - 30-Aug-2009 Version: 3.0.0 80% of the businesses are shown in the wrong place, often out by ten miles or more. Just type "pub" or "restaurant" into your iPhones built in map app, it's results are way more reliable. Just cuz this app is free doesn't mean it's great, you could waste some serious time if you actually tried to use it to find somewhere. I'm all for augmented reality, but this is augmented un-reality.
not nad By: HTC_Touch - Nov 29, 2009 Version: 3.1.1 i think this app is worthy my five stars
Great! By: Gultekin - 9-Jul-2009 Version: 2.0.2 I really like it. It gets my locations from gps and tells where I can go. It has huge database
Why so negative??? By: Mr. Melonhead - 29-Aug-2009 Version: 3.0.0 So let's get this straight. It's a FREE app with a really funky 'hidden' feature and people are whining that it didn't find their local knocking shop, and that it doesn't look very nice!
Really, have a word with yourself. You didn't pay a penny for it so stop crying and realise that it's a really interesting app that demonstrates the potential of the iPhone.
Wonderful, with room for improvement By: CeeintheCity - Nov 28, 2009 Version: 3.1.1 This app was invaluable for my recent trip to San Francisco. I was able to find interesting restaurants, shops, and find the fastest route walking or using MUNI (thanks to seamless integration with Google). I wish you were able to filter restaurants by cuisine once you're in "nearest" search results. And Monocle isn't particularly useful or cool. Otherwise, a must have on my phone.
Great app.... By: Benbar - 14-Jun-2009 Version: 2.0.2 But its ability to find my location does not work at all, so kinda useless
Good but... By: Bouncy73 - 28-Aug-2009 Version: 3.0.0 Nice to add augmented reality... but could you make it less jumpy?
Poorly cross referenced By: Minnesota Steve - Nov 27, 2009 Version: 3.1.1 A search for restaurants, gas stations or drug stores for my small town misses most of them. However, a more specific search for "sushi bars" or "Italian" finds the missing spots. This could readily be solved by better cross referencing.
Eat more think less By: Foodforthought - 6-Jun-2009 Version: 2.0.2 Finally now we can discover delicious restaurants without ant effort.
Great! By: Oldmanme - 28-Aug-2009 Version: 3.0.0 More countries please!
App is ok By: Lord_Beelzebub - Nov 27, 2009 Version: 3.1.1 I like being able to see peoples reviews of the various places I search for that are around me which is the main reason why I downloaded this app. I don't care for the Monocle feature right now, I think the app is misreading the phones compass. I look around with Monocle and resturaunts that I know are directly to my east a few blocks away I see them in the app when I'm facing south. I know my phones compass is calibrated correctly. I open Robotvision and look around and I see that same resturaunt when I'm facing east, the direction I know it's at. The other thing I don't care for is most everything exits the app. With Robotvision when I do a search for places in the augmented reality view, I can then lower my phone flat horizontal and see on the map where the places are, then raise my phone back up to return to augmented view. When you find a place of interest in Yelp and want to see the map, it exits the app completely and you can't resume once your done looking at the map, you have to totally restart the app.One of two things....if Robotvision had the ability for users to give ratings of places like this app, then Robotvision is the better app of the two. If Yelp's augmented reality viewer worked better, similar to Robotvision where you can view the map without exiting the app, set the augmented view distance, and the app read the phones compass correctly, Yelp would easily be the winner.I like the consumer ratings, but I don't like being exited out of the app all the time and the augmented viewer feature needs worked on. I did see the disclaimer when I first opened this app that the Monocle feature was still being enhanced, so I'll keep it on my phone for the time being and see how things work when a new update come. Ultimately I care more about accurate compass readings, espically when traveling, and ease of use of the app, than I do consumer/customer viewes.

Wow By: Fan of skyworks aka Erin - 1-Jun-2009 Version: 2.0.2 It's really good like really good!!!!!!!!

Should be able to submit a review instead of having to go to yelp.com By: jahmbo - Nov 27, 2009 Version: 3.1.1 Lame. Yelp is cool but this app is not!
Awesome By: Suzannep67 - 26-May-2009 Version: 2.0.1 Just wish more people would rate resturants in my area :( LOL Application, awesome!
Perfect By: benblob688 - 28-Aug-2009 Version: 2.0.2 First app with AR. He he heee apple didn't see this little feature... Nice one yelp! You need to get this even if it's just for the gimmick of AR.
Way more useful than Urban Spoon By: applez4free - Nov 26, 2009 Version: 3.1.1 Yelp is a great site and they've got a pretty good app. Way better for finding restaurants on the road than any other app I've tried, especially Urbanspoon, which had way too much hype.
Yelpppp By: It's free now?!!! - 16-May-2009 Version: 2.0.1 It's a pretty handy app..aside the fact that you need interwebs
Exellent application By: Humongous! - 27-Aug-2009 Version: 3.0.0 Augmented reality, for hidden feature shake 3 times then monocle will appear in top
Right corner, enjoy.
Great little app By: DubeFamily - Nov 25, 2009 Version: 3.1.0 Ties into Facebook, Loopt as well. I love it!
I normally don't do this. By: inoveryourhead - 13-May-2009 Version: 2.0.1 This app is crazy bad. I type inBrighton Beach and it gives me Seattle. I type in Williamsburg and it gives me places in Manhattan. Utterly useless. Yelp, I expected more from you.
