The app isn't designed to be advanced. You have a choice of Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert, of which you get 10 different games each. (For a total of 40 games.) It has its drawbacks: If you use the notes feature and accidentally input the wrong answer, it will clear the notes for that box and that number for all corresponding rows. You're then left with reinputing all your notes in that one box and the deleted number in other boxes. Otherwise, the app is pretty good for being free. I haven't had a problem with it freezing up. If you want a really good product, I think the paid version is $0.99. Try the free app. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

I was never good at this game on paper and it's still not my best game, but I like how it tells you if you are wrong because I've messed up many a Sudoku. I also like how it times you so I can tell that I'm getting better. It's a nice place for a beginner and I'm sure as I get better at it I'll move onto paper Sudoku.

I've played many versions of Sudoku on different platforms, and unfortunately this rendition is only mediocre. For example, when you place a number it will automatically clear all notes for that number in the same Row column and grid. That's normally ok, but if you accidentally hit the wrong number button (which is easy to do) then it will clear that number off your notes. The proper solution is an undo button, which this game doesn't have. Another problem is that the difficulty levels are not very accurate. I've played at expert level and not had to make a single note to win, and played the easy level and had to figure almost every tile from notes. I think the difficulty in this version is nothing more than how many tiles are blank, which really doesn't have much to do with how hard the game is to solve.
