The application seem good. But here is a great disappointment. Lots of these resources used to be free – like King James Version with Strong’s. And the Norwegian translation from 1930. These are books so old there is no copyright. Christians have voluntary typed them to spread the Good News. What is free, Olive Tree took and now charge you $24 – pure profit. 1-2$ for the job to provide this to us would be OK. But not like this. Luckily there are other great bible app for iPhone, with Strong’s, Amplified and other resources at no cost!

Viele Bibelübersetzungen in deutsch. Auch die Schlachterüberstzung von 1954 kann heruntergeladen werden. Mittlerweile ebenso die Schlachter 2000. Viele praktische Funktionen wie Suchen, Markieren von Versen usw.Noch kleine Fehler bei der Darstellung (Schlachter 2000).Die zur Zeit mit Abstand die beste App. dieser Art.Das Markieren von einzelnen Wörter bzw. Textteilen vermisse ich.

Before I get onto the negatives, I would like to say that I do love using this app and it's handy bringing it to church and not having to try and balance a Bible and notebook on my knees.But since the update, there are a few "glitches"!!!!I purchased this app when it was version 4 and I really loved using it. I could separate notes using different coloured icons for Sunday morning notes, personal notes, etc. Now it's been reduced to a handful of black icons... pretty boring really and my notes are all over the place, not in the same folders as they used to be and once I transferred them into new folders/categories, I find I can't delete the old categories I don't need. The app also continues to crash and I have to switch off my iPhone to get out of it.Please can you bring back the benefits of the previous version, in particular choice of colourful icons and the ability to delete unwanted categories/folders.

This is an awesome program! I love so many things about it & I love reading it daily in this well designed Bible app. I've used many platforms and Bible reading programs over the years and this is the best. If you like having The Word handy and even want to do an in depth study or note taking this surely will give you ALL you need. I cannot recommend it highly enough :) Thanks again for developing these modern tools for reading & studying the worlds most treasured words!UPDATE- Thank you very, very much for updating BR5 to maximize reading space & verse chooser. Very responsive team you have !I did appreciate the book feel of the book image before though (but not the space it took up) and noticed some apps simply using a static paper or parchment texture behind their text. May be a nice option for next minor update to have a couple textures to choose. Really though 5 stars, easy - even as it stands. My favorite app - period!

Was mir richtig gut gefaellt, ist der Resource Guide. Den kann man kostenlos herunterladen, als ob er eine weitere Bibel wäre. Wenn man ihn im Zweitfenster öffnet, dann werden hier alle anderen Nachschlagewerke angezeigt, die Erläuterungen zu den Versen im Hauptfenster enthalten. Plus Optionen nach Hauptbegriffen des Hauptfensters zu suchen. Das klappt richtig gut mit einigen der Nachschlagewerke, die schon entsprechend indiziert sind. Es werden aber immer mehr.Toll finde ich auch die Updates: In der Bibliothek gibt es ganz unten die Option, nach Updates zu suchen. Und es gibt relativ viele Updates. Da ist ein Kommentar umfangreicher geworden. Oder die Verweise sind verbessert. Es lohnt sich, regelmäßig mal nachzuschauen.

Ich finde diesen Biblereader nicht so toll. Seit dem Update will ich ihn gar loeschen weil er jetzt echt langsam geworden und umstaendlich zu bedienen ist. Wenn man liest verchwindet die menueleiste und wenn man zu einer anderen Bibelstelle will muss man erst einmal Tippen, das haut aber selten hin, also nochmal, dann erscheint die menueleiste und erst dann kann man eine neue bibelstelle anwaehlen.Schoen sind die vielen Features. Endlich funktioniert die Suche, aber ein bisschen unbeholfen fuehle ich mich bei der navigation sodass ich es schnell aufgebe irgendwas anderes z tun als zu lesen. Ruckeln sollte so ein Pogramm auch nicht. Und die Lupe hat eine Dauervibration. Umblaettern kann man immer nur eine seite, nie schnell zwei seiten hintereinander, weil er nach jedem blaettern die naechste seite neu laden muss.Hoffentlich finde ich bald ein besseres Programm zum Bibellesen. Eins das gut funktioniert. Dieses nervt sehr. Wozu hab ich ein ipad wenn dann solche apps drauf sind, mit sehr teuren Bibeln uebrigens...

Please bring back the grid verse chooser

The previous version was more user friendly. With the new scrolling feature for the verse finder, it takes longer the find verses now. The previous grid verse chooser was more intuitive. Also, the history function is cumbersome, the old version which allowed for toggling backwards and forwards between different parts of the bible was so much better. Also, the ability to search for highlighted verses according to colour codes is gone. Please restore these previous features!

(UPDATE - the developers have now fixed all these issues in an updated release)This has been my favorite and most-used Bible app for some time, and the latest version has some very nice updates to the interface and search functionality......BUT the developers have removed the best feature which set it apart from all other bible apps - the 3-touch-verse chooser, and have dropped back to a clunky slow scroll-wheel interface.I used to be able to bring up verses quickly during a bible study, but now I find myself preferring a hard-copy bible again because I can't bring up the verses quick enough. (please give us this option back again guys - even if it's a non-default option that can be changed in the app settings!!!)To be really effective, there needs to be a quick way to jump back and forth between recent passages like you can do in Safari.

New version slower and a bit clumsy..

The new version might have lots of eye candy but is slower to find verses due to the new selection screen, also keep getting asked for my password which is very frustrating when I just want to read a verse. Where did that screen rotate lock go??Before it was quick, efficient good looking and a pleasure to use for study and quick lookups. Would have given a 5 previously

Normaal schrijf ik geen reviews. Ik heb bible reader (vanaf nu BR) versie 4 al een tijd in gebruik. Ik vond dat een paar verbeteringen gebruiksvriendelijker zouden zijn. Ik heb dit gemeld bij de ontwikkelaar. Hij zou deze in overweging nemen. BR5 is uitgekomen. Op de iphone zie ik niet echt verbeteringen qua gebruik, maar voor de iPad is het een verschil dat een veel hogere productiviteit oplevert. Ik had een support verzoek ingedient, dat ik liever de oude verse selecter (grid) terug wilde....deze bleek erin te zitten (naar boven scrollen bij de GOTO panel). Daar was ik heel gelukkig mee. Antwoord kwam ook binnen 24 uur terug.Wat ik jammer vind is dat ze niets gedaan hebben in BR5 met mijn suggestie voor versie BR4, namelijk dat je bijbelboeken ook in je eigen taal beschikbaar zijn. Zeker in het begin is het nog even zoeken naar de boeken.Voor niet studenten -lees gewone bijbel lezers- kan dit nog wel een klein puntje van irritatie zijn.Plus punten+ performane verbetering van BR5+ Resource Guide (voornamelijk op de iPad)+ goede en snelle support+ prijsPunten ter verbetering- Namen bijbelboeken niet in eigen taal- Geen mogelijkheid tot een eigen Bijbellees rooster (suggestie maak hier een open xml format van ;-))- Exporteren van stukken uit de resources is lastig (suggestie export selection as text to dropbox)
