Vertical scroll! I can now comfortably use Olive Tree for Casual reading; thank you! You really listen and respond to your customer's wants and needs. I can delete my other bible apps now and will have more space for Olive Tree resources! God Bless the wonderful people at Olive Tree.

Very Disappointing update

Before I get onto the negatives, I would like to say that I do love using this app and it's handy bringing it to church and not having to try and balance a Bible and notebook on my knees.But since the update, there are a few "glitches"!!!!I purchased this app when it was version 4 and I really loved using it. I could separate notes using different coloured icons for Sunday morning notes, personal notes, etc. Now it's been reduced to a handful of black icons... pretty boring really and my notes are all over the place, not in the same folders as they used to be and once I transferred them into new folders/categories, I find I can't delete the old categories I don't need. The app also continues to crash and I have to switch off my iPhone to get out of it.Please can you bring back the benefits of the previous version, in particular choice of colourful icons and the ability to delete unwanted categories/folders.

This is an awesome program! I love so many things about it & I love reading it daily in this well designed Bible app. I've used many platforms and Bible reading programs over the years and this is the best. If you like having The Word handy and even want to do an in depth study or note taking this surely will give you ALL you need. I cannot recommend it highly enough :) Thanks again for developing these modern tools for reading & studying the worlds most treasured words!UPDATE- Thank you very, very much for updating BR5 to maximize reading space & verse chooser. Very responsive team you have !I did appreciate the book feel of the book image before though (but not the space it took up) and noticed some apps simply using a static paper or parchment texture behind their text. May be a nice option for next minor update to have a couple textures to choose. Really though 5 stars, easy - even as it stands. My favorite app - period!

Was mir richtig gut gefaellt, ist der Resource Guide. Den kann man kostenlos herunterladen, als ob er eine weitere Bibel wäre. Wenn man ihn im Zweitfenster öffnet, dann werden hier alle anderen Nachschlagewerke angezeigt, die Erläuterungen zu den Versen im Hauptfenster enthalten. Plus Optionen nach Hauptbegriffen des Hauptfensters zu suchen. Das klappt richtig gut mit einigen der Nachschlagewerke, die schon entsprechend indiziert sind. Es werden aber immer mehr.Toll finde ich auch die Updates: In der Bibliothek gibt es ganz unten die Option, nach Updates zu suchen. Und es gibt relativ viele Updates. Da ist ein Kommentar umfangreicher geworden. Oder die Verweise sind verbessert. Es lohnt sich, regelmäßig mal nachzuschauen.

Please bring back the grid verse chooser

The previous version was more user friendly. With the new scrolling feature for the verse finder, it takes longer the find verses now. The previous grid verse chooser was more intuitive. Also, the history function is cumbersome, the old version which allowed for toggling backwards and forwards between different parts of the bible was so much better. Also, the ability to search for highlighted verses according to colour codes is gone. Please restore these previous features!

This is the best reader on the market. Version 5 has a beautiful layout and is more intuitive to use. Innumerable Bibles, commentaries and dictionaries in many languages is food for all, no matter how hungry you are. Many are even free of charge. Thanks for a great job!I have made a lot of notes in previous version and would like to have this transferred into this fabulous BibleReader5. Hope this will be possible, then I will give 5 stars.

BibleReader is probably the best Bible reading app in the App Store. However it could be improved. I've installed several Dutch language bibles, but the chapter names still display in English.Also the in-app store is very buggy. When I enter some text in the search box the screen often keeps refreshing and doesn't display the results. When I finally did manage to buy an item, the item didn't download until I restarted BibleReader.

Olive Tree beweist mit dem BibleReader für iPhone/iPod Touch, dass sie schon viel Erfahrung mit mobilen Bibel-Programmen haben. Ich bin rundum zufrieden. Einen kleinen Punkte-Abzug gibts jedoch, weil bei der Auswahl der biblischen Bücher nur englische Namen/Abkürzungen sind, was manchen Benutzern vermutlich Schwierigkeiten bereitet.

Habe alle Bibel-Apps angeschaut, das hier ist das Beste. Einfache und schnelle Bedienung und 2 Übersetzungen parallel. Einfaches umschalten zwischen den Bibeln. Moderne übersetzung (Hoffnung für alle) als einziges App. Schlachter übersetzung gratis! Habe es schon vor Jahren auf dem Palm benützt und war schon damals zufrieden.

Sluggish, stick with v4 until issues sorted out!

I use OliveReader 4 everyday. When I saw on the site OliveReader 5 was out I was excited and wanted to give it a try. I synced my books and downloaded v5. There are some visually nice things BUT crucially it is SLOW on my iPhone 4! Very disappointing! Considerably slower than version 4 when opening books and finding verses and the "Go to" button for chapters and verses is no longer in top right but is second button from left making it more difficult to select that button than before. When pressing the button to choose a chapter an verse in addition to being slower there are not the same animations, I personally preferred the animations in v5 as was much quicker. In addition to this, the daily bible reading plans has been tucked away in a deep menu making it harder to find (on version 4 it was one touch away). All in all, I'm disappointed at the upgrade mainly due to the slowness of the upgrade. Hope the guys at OliveReader are able to make version 5 as fast as the old one or I'll be sticking with v4.
