I had a difficult time choosing between Golfcard and ViewTi as my score keeper and GPS. The Golfcard's interface with Oobgolf, the designer website and the constant updates to improve the program are what sold me on Golfcard. I also really like Golfcard's Appsafe which allows you to backup and mark a course(tee, green and hazards) before you play and share your marks with other golfers. The GPS accuracy is probably +/-5-10 yards. This is not fault of Golfcard or other golfing program. It is simply the limitation of the GPS on the iPhone.For $8 buck, it's great bang for your buck! It give you an idea of how far it is to clear the hazard, to the green etc. It keeps detail scores for everyone in the group and can share the info online via Oobgolf. You can play games...skin, nassau....wow.Goodbye to keeping score by hand!

I looked around quite a bit and this is the best golf card app I found. I tried others but this is full featured AND easy/fast to use. Well worth the 5.99 I spent.

Easy, simple to use, and have had no issues locating courses.. Haven't used rangefinder feature yet but all in all a must have, affordable app for golfers at any level

Fabulous application! I love the data that can be recorded: it helps me see how I am progressing. I'm a pretty novice golfer and so I only use the GPS aspect on very long faiways.I especially like the fact that I can very easily and quickly record my stroke type for each hole, this showing me instatnly what parts of my game require more attention than others. Even if you never use the range finder (which is defintely the coolest part!) thisbisbworth the money.UPDATE:I was able to enter rangefinder information for the course I play and the accuracy is unbelievable! Even after reviewing all the other golf apps, this one is still the best.

I keep wanting to try other Apps but none so far come close to the features and gps quality of of this. Don't know how this app is up to 1/4 the price of some other lesser functional programs. The only three issues or functions that would make this better: It would help if you could preset zoom level and default view. I prefer fairway view most of time and time is wasted if the green mode is loading by default. It would be great if you could preload or save maps prior to round for those non 3G areas. Thirdly, it would be neat to do an all rounds stat report in addition to per course.

More side games please

It's great because it remembers course info for later use, and it tracks your progress on a course with an appealing line graph. It's really easy to input scores on each hole... almost easier than a paper and pencil. Last but not least, it's a chance to show Blackberry owners what they're missing!!

September 25 2008. As a scorecard/ statistic tracker for multiple users it takes high honors in my opinion. Like a previous user noted- the more stats that can be logged the better this program will become (club selection, fir, gir, putts and maybe even to track fir/ gir %) I look forward to an update that includes these options. Another decent update would be the ability to transfer/ view stats to a program hosted site online. This just me thinking out loud but it also gets high marks for not draining my battery though 36 holes whereas a GPS enabled program would typically last 4 hours or roughly 18 holes as a 2some. A great value and a useful tool. As long as they keep up with customer satisfaction instead of so-called "trends". I'll be happy!

Great job with this app! The others are a little cluttered and don't seem to track your handicap. It took a little getting used to the first time out, but it didn't take too long before I was able to fully understand it's capabilities. I only have two things that I feel would be two good tweeks and only enhance this app. First, it would be nice to be able to arrange the tees up and down based on their distance. At the courses around here, the Blue tees are the Pro, the White are Mens, gold Senior, and Red Ladies. However, in the App, the White is listed before Blue. Not a huge deal at all, especially since the colors easily indicate the yardage, but it'd be a nice touch. The second feature change that I think would be VERY helpful is if the accelerometer was utilized for the scorecards. It'd be neat to til the screen and see the scorecard in a landscape view because it would be good to see more of the card. The large, medium, and small fonts aren't bad, but it could be that much better if it were tiltable (which I know isn't that hard of a programing task).That's all I have! Can't wait to see the upgrades!

This app is amazing!!! It uses many incredible features of the iphone. The developers did a tremendous job and it connects directly to the oob golf web site. It is easy to use on the golf course when keeping score. I highly recommend this app for any golfer. It is worth the $8.

The ease of use in this app is easy, and the detailed options are as easy or as hard as you like. You HAVE TO MAKE a notepad for each hole leaving a comment, so you can remember if you chipped it in, got a hole in one, blasted a drive, etc. Please! Other than that, this is perfect!!

I've been using this app for about the past month or so, and I have to say I am very pleased with what it can do. It makes keeping score extremely easy, and saves the time of using a paper score card. I just record my score as I'm walking to the next tee. The ability to review any previous rounds of golf is great too, and all around I think it's a great app and well worth the price.

Look, you get what you pay for an this app is the best. Don't waste your money on an inferior app. I would LOVE to see them add the rules of golf to this app in the next update though.

I have played 68 rounds since buying in Feb. As I track my scores, I also keep track off fairways, GIR, putts, and penalties. I like the feature where I can upload to the site and graph to look at my tendencies. This helps me to focus on what I need to work on.

Was able to use on courses in Myrtle Beach as well as courses in and around Phila., PA. Now I don't have to keep all of my paper score cards any longer.

I have never taken the time to write a review, but I had to in this case. I downloaded GolfCard earlier today and found that the side game feature was not tracking skins at all. I emailed support and received a reply email within 20 minutes from a live person (i.e. not a form response). He was courteous and detailed. We exchanged emails several times over the next half hour and he quickly found the problem (user error naturally!) and told me how to set it up properly. All of this occurred at around 7:30 p.m. PST! I have never been so impressed with support like that. The app is amazing on its own merits - feature filled, easy to use, and according to the support guy, soon to be updated with even more side games and other features. Kudos to GolfCard on a great program and superior employees.

I own all the scorecard apps and so far this is the best. ViewTi is too expensive and is not as user friendly as Golf Card.

This app is great. (I don't work for or know anyone at Senygma) real intuitive and I was able to use it right out of the box without reading the directions. Kept my score and found the map right away. Reading the manual reveals a ton of other great features like the "touch the ball feature and walk to your ball to find out how far you hit it" I've never had the patience or know how to come up with my handicap and this app posted my "handicap" after 5 rounds. (Lamentable 30.7) :( I'm a pretty lousy golfer but love the game. I never have bothered keeping my score cards and so never know if I'm improving. This app will track this for me. 2 or 3 of my favorite local courses weren't marked even though they were included in the database. I was able to update the scorecard and add GPS markers for each if them in about 30 minutes per course. If you include the rating and slope on the scorecard at oobgolf the app can calculate your handicap alot easier. And it was kind of fun adding courses. I might even add a few in Central Oregon I've played once or twice just for fun. All in all well worth 8 bucks.
