En achetant l'appli, le financier que je suis s'attendait d'abord à avoir une réplique fidèle du modèle original. Sur ce plan, l'objectif est atteint. Je n'ai pas de contre exemple où j'ai pu prendre en défaut l'appli. Seul bémol qui ne tient pas aux développeurs : la taille un peu moins pratique des touches. Vivement le futur iphone avec écran agrandi ! Sur le plan de l'affichage, la possibilité d'utiliser le mode portrait n'apporte rien de plus et modifie les habitudes prises.Le portage sur iphone apporte par contre des fonctions supplémentaires de programmation, d'enregistrement. Et le calcul est plus rapide. Sur 3GS, le chargement de l'appli est tellement rapide que la publicité du développeur est très fugace...C'est parfait pour un prix divisé par 20 par rapport à l'original.Note : le complément indispensable de l'appli est le manuel original de l'hp12c, à télécharger sur le site d'hp.

As numerous reviewers have already noted, the update basically broke the app for everyone. The developer has been notified multiple times by multiple parties (including me), with no response whatsoever.DO NOT SUPPORT DEVELOPERS THAT IGNORE THEIR CUSTOMERS.R.L.M., you should be ashamed of yourself. You are basically cheating your customers. Apple, you should remove deadbeat developers like this and ban their apps from the App Store forever. It reflects poorly on the user experience.To sum it up: This app and its developer are a great big #FAIL.UPDATE 2011-03-16: App updated as of Mar. 14 and it's *still* broken! I loved the Lite version - so I knew I would be buying this one. The additional features, such as the ability to rotate the screen, memory retention and memory contents list, make it worth paying for. Obviously clever marketing using the Lite (Demo) version as a teaser; but the upside is that the Lite version may be quite adequate for many people.(Wish I hadn't bought Calculator 12 - which is twice the price, has half the features, and is full of bugs!)

Encore plus fort que la "vraie".Mode paysage et rétro-éclairage des touches de fonction.Le prix est 20 fois inférieur. Un micro bémol mais hélas inévitable la taille un peu petite en paysage. Un gros plus la sauvegarde des programmes impossible sur la "vraie".Bravo.

La réplique de la 12C est réellement impressionnante, pour un prix finalement abordable au regard de la qualité du produit. Elle est en tout point équivalente (en plus rapide) à l'objet culte utilisé par les analystes et les financiers depuis plusieurs décennies.

Worth the price

I used to have the lite version when it as free. I think now that bug have been fixed (in particular memory display and keyboard reactivity) it is well worth the price. Also, the great improvement of being able to load/save programs adds up to it.Suggestions for further improvements:- possibility to extend the programming memory to more than the original 12C allowed it- character visualization for programs (a bit like in the user docs)- allowing "non-RPN" mode for people born after 1980 ;-p (I was born way before that...). With this small " infidelity" (that means reshuffling the keyboard for "()"), it will look more like later versions of HP financial calculators and increase potential customer base.PS: after I wrote this review, the Platinum version appeared miraculously... But I won't pay the price twice. Shame it is not free for classic owners (as prices are similar)

Pour les amoureux des vieilles polonaises inversées (rien de sexuel). On s'y croirait, tout juste parfait : à l'horizontale et à la verticale, graphismes hyper réalistes. Reproduction parfaite d'une HP sans "splash screen".

J'avais choisi la version lite, et j'ai acheté la version classic. Superbe, réactif, idéal pour ceux qui aime la notation polonaise inverse et les calculs financiers.Juste quelques points d'amélioration : le bruit des touches un peu trop agressif, la pub du développeur au lancement dont on se passerait bien.Sinon, bravo aux développeurs
