This app is astonishing. It works beautifully and is yet to fail to find any of my requests. The map function is excellent. Best app of this kind. Well done. The ability to leave short recommendations on certain businesses might be a nice touch. Maybe 'star ratings' etc.

Diese App ist einfach Super! Auch wenn ein paar Dinge nicht top aktuell sind. Zum Beispiel eine Tankstelle die sich bei mir in der Nähe befindet wird noch nicht lokalisiert. Damit kann ich aber leben. Wenn man aber einen T Punkt oder Apotheke sucht, ist dieses App sehr zu empfehlen. Auch Hotels, Kinos und Restaurants findet man recht gut. Im Vollen und Ganzen ist Around Me für diesen Preis unschlagbar.

Die Entwickler haben nun endlich auch eine Funktionalität für den iPod Touch eingebaut. Allerdings ist das App mit Werbung versehen, ansonsten gäbe es 5 Sterne, so nur 3.

To be able to find the gas station right next to my house! ;)Also, after each listing, it shows the miles to your target and the typical iPhone > icon... but I would LOVE if the > would show your direction to the target! Many times I'm on foot or in an area where I can't see my destination... it would be SO nice if you could show either a cardinal direction OR if you could change the arrow icon to show actual direction... For example, something straight ahead of you would show an icon like this: 33 Yards ^And if it was to your left: 33 Yards < And right: 33 Yards >And behind you: 33 Yards ~ (or ?)Thanks for a great app!-B

Pratique, à condition de connaitre les commerces qui nous entourent à l'avance car les descriptions sont très succintes, voir inexistantes, alors pas évident de trouver un restaurant sans connaitre sa spécialité (seul le nom est affiché) !

Doesn't have all local resources by a long shot - so you may as well just use yell.co.uk. The ads are instrusive - I would rather pay a nominal fee and get relevant information than have a half baked ad loaded app.

Leider werden viele Banken, Apotheken in der Datenbank von AroundMe nicht angezeigt!Klicktel hat zwar ähnliche Schwachstellen, dafür kann man gleich noch nach Telefonnummern suchen lassen!
