I was flabbergasted when I opened this app the first time. Amongst the news items were someones new Toyota Scion (congratulations) and morphed pictures labeled "gremlins in Philly". Wow. It's like a Weekly World News app without the creativity. This app should be pulled immediately. CBS, and Viacom, if you want to advertise to me then you better give me REAL CBS news and Viacom subsidiary programming. Everyone: do not waste your time downloading this app. Download Truveo instead. Not only does it give you a boatload of news channels it also gives a great amount of entertainment value. CBS: I want my 5 minutes back.

Great idea, and very futuristic. To be truly compelling it needs to load images up off the server more quickly, and there probably has to be an initial period of editorial control - though I know that runs against the ethos of the app - just to weed out to people who keep uploading pictures of their dogs or children or favourite pair of tweezers. During Ike this was really compelling. If it's just pictures of people's dogs, then um, it's not.

Truly an embarrassment to CBS.Insulting to users! A child could design a better app!Would delete immediately, but will be watching to see how long it takes CBS to pull the plug on this app or do a total revamp. Check out KOMO-TV Seattle or ABC or AP apps to see what people want!

I like the idea of this app, a publicly contributed news app but unfortunately it's way to slow or the server fails to respond at all. Sort out the server problems and you have a good app here. It is also unforunate that this app has become bombarded with retarded non news pictures like that of pets, sunsets etc like there is nowhere else to post that crap.

Full of nothing but unfiltered junk pics and low quality videos. And it's listed under the NEWS category??? Where's Apple's watchdog when we actually need it?!

This app was deleted almost imediatley! It gives CBS bad name. It has very poor news feeds. The artciles on here are not even news....things such as my cat is meowing and it hot today is not news! Coming from CBS I thought this would be a very high quality app with a lot of breaking news storie from around the nation! I was sadly mistaken! I will not download this app again!

It's not such a good app cuz everyone can post pictures and videos, but no one is there to monitor them. So, it's full of junk pictures and videos. You rarely can find anything that is news worthy. Also, the 'reports' are not categorized, so you can't really choose which type of pics/vids you want to see. You have to go through all of them.btw, as far as I know, we can't record videos using our iphones, so how are we supposed to post videos in the first place? Use a camcorder, tape it, convert it to .mov, transfer to my iphone, and then upload it?!... I don't think so!!

I like this app because it has potential to work as an independent news source by average people in a community. But, the comments appear to be unmoderated and as such have vulgar language that I would not like my kids to see. So, until there is some monitoring of the app... I would shy away from it.

Completely stupid app, which has been deleted. Stories like "Amy looks really hot today" or "I just ate a dozen donuts" are not even interesting let alone "news." A worthless gimick. I only wish there were 0 and - ratings so that I could truley give it the consideration it deserves.

Awesome app that is hindered by immature people who have no interest in seeing this type of app realize its fullest potential. There should be a way to censor and weed out the people who are lowering the quality of this program. Hope to see changes in future updates.[update] Thank you CBS for adding the ability to delete childish comments and block people. You just made a great app a whole lot better! :)[update] Apparently the ability to delete user comments was a temporary glitch. Add this as a permanent feature and this app would be great!
