Quite usable and stable with my SIP service. Voip technology imperfect, voice delay and occasional chop on par with other Voip programs. One glaring ommisson, no way to do key pad tones for voice mail /system menus while in call. Hopefully next update will address the issue. Incomming SIP, even when sitting in a solid wifi zone seems hit or miss.

Non l'ho ancora usato con skype però con msn va benissimo, ed è davvero comodo!! È sicuramente migliorabile, però è proprio da scaricare... Quasi perfetto!

Incredibly, and despite many, many requests on their forum, fring lacks DTMG, meaning that, once your call is initiated, you cannot create any further dial tones by pressing the dialpad, making the app useless for any service requiring key presses i.e. an extension number, a PIN or simple navigation through a voice menu. You can forget about using it with the many SIP services that require additional key presses.We know DTMG is possible in an iPhone app, because Truphone has it, but Fring continues to ignore all the urgent requests on their forum, stretching back to this app's launch. It's amazing that a company can be so relaxed about a feature that every user will need at some point.

I'm playing with various VoIP solution liek FriendCaller and Nimbuzz, I like Fring but the skype contacts' online status is not right at all if I compare with my PC version

If you want to call out with skype, press the "0" for a second until "+" appears. Then dial your 555-555-5555 number. I've had the app crash a few times after clicking to "Goto" button. Better organization of the Buddy list is needed. Overall a good app, with the shot at becoming a great app. For now though, it is the best solution to those who want to skype on the iPhone. I'd also like to see the twitter functionality increased.

also toll= alle messenger und VOIp was heisst man kann skypen!!! xD doof= man muss speziell ein fring account machen(ich vergess immer meine passwoerter) wenn man nur IM benutzen moechte koennt ihr IM probieren. Da muss man nur IM account und pw einfuegen....fring ist kompliziert aba toll xD

I really liked fring before the push notification update. Don't get me wrong. Push is great -- when you want it. It's completely annoying when you don't. When you're already on the computer using one of your chat programs, there is nothing more frustrating than having fring constantly going off and draining your battery. They need to create a function to log out or shut off push for the times when you don't need/want it. I'm about ready to delete the thing.

Un buon applicativo sicuramente. Ancora meglio se potesse funzionare in background e se desse la possibilitá di aggiungere contatti msn, skype, etc. Ottimo m'a migliorabile.

Calling people through Skype is a great feature to have on an iPhone! The additional chat accounts such as yahoo or MSN are a nice extra. And all of that for free! Who can complain about that?

Fring ist ein Super App für das iPhone und den iPod Touch. Bin völlig hingerissen von ICQ und Skype. Alle chats laufen flüssig und einwandfrei, auch die telefonate sind gut und überzeugend. Nun zu denen die Probleme mit ihrer ungültigen (invalid) e-mail Adresse haben: Hatte genau das selbe Problem und hab es durch angeben einer neuen e-Mail Adresse gelöst. Für alle die Probleme mit dem einloggen haben: Bei Skype müsst Ihr bei User ID euren skype-nickname eingeben und bei password euer skype-passwort. Bei ICQ müsst Ihr bei User ID eure ICQ-Nummer und bei password euer normales ICQ-Passwort eingeben. Zum verbinden MUSS eine bestehende Wi-Fi Verbindung vorhanden sein!! Hoffe konnte helfen und empfehle dringenst dieses KOSTENLOSE App zu laden iPod Touch 4ever

L'appli ne se connecte pas à Skype!! juste bien pour msn, et Palringo le fait bcq mieux...Qq'un arrive-t-il a faire fonctionner Skype avec cet appli ?
