Skype works really well - just a shame that Apple/networks won't let you do VOIP over 3G. IM is great though, and if you can find a wifi network then skype calling works fine too.

It shows unavailable people as available what is confusing. To make a call to a cell phone using skype credit I have to sometimes try several times but when I call the same nr from skype on my laptop there are no problems. Can't make voice calls using 3g network. Generally frustrating!

doesn't work. crashes over and over.... plus, even when it doesn't crash, it doesn't work. i can't get it to dial any calls using SIP. how could such a poor app be released????

Finally - Fring on the official iPhone! I've used it before on WinMo and Symbian platforms. Skype works perfectly. It's understandable, but still a pity, that on the iPhone it requires a wireless connection - it still gets 5 stars, as that's a limitation of Apple/networks rather than Fring.

I love Fring! I tried some of the other multi IM apps and they had nothing over Fring! I have recomended it to all of my friends with an iTouch/iPhone. I use it every day.

Totally unfair not able to do out calls on 3g. Why apple realesed an iPhone 3g if it will banned this. ?? They are heading from monolopoly etc towards ilegallity. Contacts doesn't update quick. Big delay on wifi calls. Well 1 thing I'm sure iPhone it's limiting so much everything I'll come back to windows 6.0 mobile devices. Good luck you all. Really!

I probably have one of the easiest and most used email addresses, yet fring won't recognise it. How pathetic, now deleted from my iPhone until I see an update from the manufacturers. at least I didn't spend any money on it.

Worked straight "out of the box" for Skype & Gizmo - this is terrific and the sound quality is very good.Looking forward to some fixes and enhancements: 1) would be great for the contact list could be shown either per the phone's setting [e.g. sort by first or last name; display as First, Last or Last, First] or per fring's own preference pane; 2) how about showing SIP/SKYPE etc. available credit; 3) during a SKYPE OUT call, show the keypad to be able to send DTMFs (the "Tones") in order to control menu based systems e.g. voice mail, information or banking system.That said, the app is still an absolute must have. Thank all you fringlanders!

its better if it could hide the offline contacts and the iphone contacts
