This is a great app. Skype and google talk work great. It's a nice a looking interface. My only complaints are that I wish there was a way to remove contacts, have a setting to exclude your phone's contact list and for some reason links in IM are not clickable so you're out of luck if a friend sends you a link.

This is app is great because I don't have a cell phone, but I do have an iPod touch 2g and some iPhone headphones. I was wondering though, since I'm going on a trip to new York, that if I paid for the free wi-fi on American airlines, would I be able to call somebody through that wi-fi without crashing the plane

Needs push and separate icons to denote which service each contact comes from Also needs an option to disable voice and go right to chat on clicks (or skip the screen if not on wifi)

Haven't updated to 2.2 yet so dnt know abt tht. Cool app worked well, merged buddy lists w no prob. But can't turn the sound off? I like that a little number pops up on the icon to tell me I have msgs, but maybe the app could be password protected? I dnt like tht jst 'anyone' tht picks up my phone can quickly access my buddy lists or my msgs ;)

...sometimes it will show buddies on google chat when they're not actually on. These buddies use Fring on the iPhone too so maybe this has something to do with it? Does the Fring app always keep you logged in even if the app is not running as long as your iPhone is on??

I give this app 3 stars I have to say I do enjoy it much more than other chat apps even more than beejive that I paid 15$ for. I think there is a lot of room for improvement though for example sound options for an IM, should have an option to be able to list by group, also I wish I was able to put up an away message and see others away messages and profiles instead of the generic green amber and red colors. Other than that the connection is awesome no crashing problems an all around cool app to have, I just hope in the upgrades some of the things I've mentioned change.
