I was really excited to finally get an app that would let me handle my Skype account, but when I wanted to register, all I got was " Error: User ID/Nickname/Password may only contain Alpha characters A-Z...blah, blah, blah." Again, WTC???

Quite a good start, needs some polishing.. (ver. 1.0)

I use fring only for VOIP, and i'm not very happy about it. Sound sometimes jitter and only redial helps. For it's price it's perfect.

I changed my mind... This is a great app. Wow. But the guy from Fring said that the app should work if the phone is lock and you do not close the app but it only works 10-15 minutes after that no response. It's Free Who cares. Great job guys.

I was waiting for this to come out! Glad to see it made it's way to the App Store. Personally, my main complaint is that fring doesn't keep you signed in when you have other things to do on your iPhone. It would make sense to have fring running in the background so that you can still receive IM's when you're not in the application; and have an 'exit' button when you want to sign out entirely. Hope to see this happen in the near future.

It seems the email address validation logic is flawed, as it won't allow me to use an email with a period in it.

I have been waiting for this app to make it on the iPhone. Make skype out calls when i'm using wifi is excelent and cheap when I call international. This app could come in handy when you get no bars or you are traveling and get no service, using wifi access to make some calls, just make sure you get a Skype account. Plus you can chat via IM using a Yahoo, MSN, or any other listed service, no more texting for me. I would have given this app 5 stars but I have slow conections to skype that should get fixed, other than that everything is superb.

the app is very good. I wish it was posible voip calls over 3g network, skype group calls and chat, file transfer and it takes forever to login fring itself.

I would have to admit, it's a tiny bit buggy, but hey, it's their first and it sure is worth it. I used this app and Skype-out to make an international call from US iPhone 1st gen to Kazakhstan cell and it was perfect. The quality was almost as good as a normal cell phone quality. I think it's really impressive. It really shows what an iPhone or iPod Touch can do. It seems simple, but when you think about it, you are actually saving tons of money. Highly recommended.

Well ... where do I begin! Overall, I'm very happy to see an app that has so much usefulness - and potential. The Skype integration works - but, only after you play with it for quite a while and realize that you must use "+" for most calls dialed out [plus the area code]. It would be nice to eliminate the need for this inconvenience - but, what the heck, this is V1 and was just released. All-in-all, I'm glad to see this app and I HOPE APPLE DOESN'T PULL IT OFF THE APP STORE!These folks have obviously worked very, very hard to bring this to the iPhone, and I applaud their efforts. I'm looking forward to what will surely be many updates.

Incoming Cell Calls

may be in the next version they can give an option of call waiting as we usually get when we are on a cell call.Works great with wi-fi. Though there is a bit lag in the voice but I am sure it will be resolved. Atleast there is no voice breakage.Also I do not know what is supposed to be under GoTo as I cant see anything in there :(All in all, very happy with it, just with the fact that Fring is now available.
