That some stupid shotgun sound emulation game can rate higher than this app just tells u how retarded most ppl on istore are.  Don't trust the low ratings. This is a fantastic, free medical resource. Yes it is a little slow to load sometimes n has scope for improvement, but it's free and gives 3 excellent resources free, with option of more if you're willing to pay. 

I used to be pretty angry that Skyscape was planning to charge iPhone users an annual fee for access to their textbooks, but then Skyscape listened to our complaints and changed their purchasing options.Now iPhone users can permantantly buy Skyscape titles.Also, you can purchase short-term title subscriptions (4 or 6 months) at discounted rates.Great idea for students who will only need a title for a single rotation.

Hi I installed this application today the 3rd March, 2009, and I'm very disappointed with it. It's bugy, does not install the free resources, restarted it and my iPhone several times and no use! No autologin and u have to login everytime even though it saves your email and password! You have to setup an account with your email to access the free stuff which you can not access eventually because it won't download the 3 free resources!! Sorry for the hard words but I am telling the truth!

Atención, aplicación para médicos. Es el epocrates más calculadora médica (con más de 200 fórmulas tipo mediquations, etc), más diccionario-enciclopedia médica completísima (incluyendo signos, síntomas, etc). Estos cuates se volaron la barda !!!

They finally decided to allow iPhone users to keep their paid apps after the 1 year period. I really like Skyscape programs and I am glad they listened. I am changing my rating from 1 to 5 and just bought US$160 worth of software for my iPhone from them.

I have been using skyscape for a couple of months. It's fantastic as a source of medical info. Great on-call, in clinic or a ward round. I agree with other reviewers bout the 1 year subscriptions... BUT... I have noticed this morning that now they have a standard non-subscription version! Those who have purchased titles beforehand can change to the standard version! Finally iPhone users are being given a fare deal! Now I would highly recommend this!

This is just the basic app and you don't get much with it. But, the apps that are sold by Skyscape (eg 5mcc, Davis drug guide, etc) save me a ton of time. Don't get me wrong, they're not cheap but they work well and integrate as advertised.

Great application with so much potential BUT I have found it very dissapointing that texts I would use on a daily basis are restricted to "supscription only " for iPhone users but if I were to go back to using my "Palm" I would be able to purchace the title outright for very little more. If and when this inequality is rectified I will happily spend on some of the excelent titles offered.

This would have been a fantastic app, worth every dollar. However, Skyscape became greedy, and wants to charge you full price for a ONE year subscription, instead of letting you keep what you paid for on your phone. Over a 5 year residency, I could buy 5 paper copies of the textbook, and leave it around the hospital, for the same amount!!!!! BOYCOTT corporate greed. Skyscape does not pull this crap with Palm, PPC, or Blackberry.

I think it's unfair that people are complaining about yearly subscriptions, because most software that you would use (take the BNF) for example gets updated every 6 months, therefore a subscription is hardly a problem there. For other software that is not updated as regularly, it seems a little expensive. However the 3 programmes that you get for free (Archemides was not available for me) are excellent. Usefull on ward rounds and in clinics. OCM is particularly good, as it's evidence based and whilst not as thorough as other resources, it is usefull for an overview of a disease or presentation. I don't usually write reviews, however i felt this programme has got an unfair rating. Not only is the program quick to load, and easy to use. But it also comes with 3 very useful resources for free. You don't have to buy any further software for it if you don't want to. I have found it very useful as a medical student.

Ditto Kensei Dave. I've been waiting for Skyscape since I had it on my old HP iPAQ. Nice interface and implementation, but please introduce standard plans as well. Don't discriminate against iPhone/iPod Touch users!

Highly recommend. I got the constellation package. It has literally replaced my notes and pocket books. And having up to date info is a must, so technically it's cheaper to have it on a subscription than not. Would you want to fall behind because you didn't stay current with the latest medical changes? New drugs and disease info are constantly being updated and changed.

With this you only subscribe to the titles. While there is an argument that you shouldn't be using out of date information, it doesn't expire when a new edition of the resource is published - it expires 1 year after you purchase. If they change the terms then they may get more people using this, but as it is they are just waiting for a competitor to sweep in.

I use it everyday at the wards. Constantly updated and lots of information at your fingertips with references to journal articles. I rarely don't find what I'm looking for. The OCM is great!

I have been waiting for Skyscape to get their apps onto the iPhone for ages. FINALLY! Skyscape please ensure that both standard and subscription versions are available for iphone, please do not lock everyone into a yearly subscription model.
