Works great! Always within ten minutes of real time on radar. I like having the alerts. As a native Californian moved to Texas, I find it has everything I need.

Fixing what isn't broke

The two s that I gave it have nothing to do with how the app works. It has to do with they have NOW decided to charge for a add free version. I have used the Weather Channel app back before it was app. When the original iPhone released there were a ton of thumbnails that came out. Basicly bookmarks that directed you to a web page just for iPhone usage. When the Weather Channel announced they would be coming out with a app, I downloaded it as soon as it came out. Jump to forward 3 years later and they have decided to charge for a add free version of a app that has been add free until just recently. This wouldn't irk me if it had always been this way. I'm getting tired of devs deciding to make a quick buck. Either charge in the very beginning, or I'll delete you and look else where. That also includes me not purchasing anything new you come out with. If it can be add free up til now, it can be free after now. Hopefully Apple cracks down on this, as it's occuring more and more.

This is a comprehensive weather app that gives you more than just the weather, it gives you everything weather related. I use it every day, not only for local information but for travel.

This update crashes more often and the traffic cams are cool but only half of the full image actually loads needs to work out some bugs

This is basically the perfect utility app. You can watch Local weather videos, national videos, live radar, hour by hour, 10 day forecast. It just rocks

Fahrenheit Celsius Option Disappeared

I had set the prefs to Celsius in version 1.0 and could not find a way to switch back to Fahrenheit. So, I removed and reinstalled the app. Now it is stuck in Fahrenheit with no way to make it Celsius. I travel between the US and Canada and find it convenient to switch depending on who I'm talking to. How can this basic function not be included? Other than that, the app works well. Still, I'm switching to Accuweather so I have control over units of measurement.

Love the original. Biggest complaint on the update is your sacrificing even more of the map real estate to create an additional, unneccessary button bar towards the bottom. We don't need the animation slider control nor the "wait clock" animation in the middle of the map; useless. In the prior version we see the date/time reference at the bottom, and realize the animation slides are loading before playback smoothes-out; this new stuff is just in the way.The old version had the buttons individually overlaid on the corners of the map. That is MUCH better. PLEASE go back to that sensible design in the next release.

Crashing after last update

-Not even close on 5 day forecasts -Cant calculate "Heat Index" aka "feels like". (When it is 72F and Humidity is 94% and Dew Point is 61F, that is real uncomfortable. This app reports "feels like" at 72F. Others correctly report it near 80F. -Also new version appears to have a memory leak. After using radar app exits to main screen. Rebooting iPhone clears memory but is pain. After using radar again, I have had other apps that had no problems crash to main screen, which indicates this app likely is not releasing memory. Too Many problems. Just too bad there is ironically a lack of a decent weather app for iPhone.

Slow refresh a big problem

The map is often 45min+ behind which makes watching a storm move across town very difficult. Fix that and the rating will go up.

Crash often after last update

It used to be stable. But since last update, it crashes, for example switch from hour to ten-day mode. Please fix it.

Maybe not the flashiest app, but forecasts are accurate, and fast. What else do you need?
