Reviews:
Easy to use. Super reliable!! By: RunningKicksButt - Jan 15, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 I had no problem using this at the mall. Starbucks? No problem. Rainforest Cafe? No problem. Borders? No problem. Love this application.
Does what it says By: youngjm - Jan 15, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 I also use the original version and both are great! I had a small issue re-registering my number and support took care of it very quickly!
Continues to save time while getting my Starbucks!
If you block text messaging, this app is a godsend By: John in Wisconsin - Jan 14, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 This app is worth 10 times its cost to me, because it enables me to use Barnes & Noble's WiFi. You see, I hate text messaging. I abhor it. I think that it's the biggest ripoff going, other than those free credit report offers. I don't want to be charged for text messages that I didn't ask to received. So I stopped it. I called AT&T and told them to block all text messages, except for the free ones from AT&T and Apple. The problem is that AT&T doesn't have its act together. It uses text messages to activate WiFi at B&N and Starbucks, but it does it through a Cingular server, instead of an AT&T server and the messages get blocked. So no WiFi . . . until this app. This app quickly connects and I've had zero problems and get to keep blocking those dreadful ripoffs known as text messages. Thank you Easy Wi-Fi.
Works Perfectly By: Ripcord83 - Jan 14, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 Works as advertised. I have no complaints. Much easier than going to a website to get a code. Also got it while it was free!
Does one thing and does it well By: L0b - Jan 13, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 A great time-saver versus the standard AT&T webpage-to-SMS login method--works simply, quickly, and consistently
Seamless By: mikeymike1223 - Jan 12, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 This has made connecting at AT&T WiFi locations a pleasure.
Stay away doesn't work By: Lodging - Jan 12, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 Had this crap installed for 2 months and it has never worked even once.
Works for me... By: v17 - Jan 11, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 So far, no issues here. Works just fine and does what it says.
Perfect! By: ChicagoComet - Jan 11, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 I love this app! I always study at Starbucks and connecting to WiFi is seamless. Thank you!
Great app By: Cornholieo - Jan 10, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 I use it all the time. Only have issues as certain Starbucks, that I have typically had WiFi issues with any how. Great time and annoyance saver.
didnt work By: yomamasofat11 - Jan 10, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 it didnt work for me on my itouch
Works great By: xCARTERx - Jan 10, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 Picked this one up when it was free over the holiday. Works well. Much faster/easier than going to the site and waiting for a text message from ATT. Not really sure what people arent getting about the app but buy it, use it, be happier.
Works! By: mtwo - Jan 9, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 I'm posting from my connection now at Dallas Love Field. This worked like a charm. I agree with other comments with the confusion. I didn't have wifi turned on so I had to turn it on and then go to safari to connect to a network. After that I was up and running. Great!
Works most of the time By: PandaManiacs - Jan 9, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 Does what it says and a lot quicker than the normal way. Occasionally fails to connect (less than 5% of the time) and have to connect via text message. When it works, it definitely is a time saver.
Epic Fail - App does NOT work! By: Pissed Squirrel - Jan 9, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 Never has. I am convinced that every 5-Star rating you see here is someone affiliated with the production and sale of this software, to hopefully avoid a potential lawsuit.
Once set up, works great! By: Michael Caswell - Jan 9, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 So nice to not have to go through that login procedure anymore.
Works as advertised By: Feefer2 - Jan 9, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 Only suggestion for improvement would be to allow the app to control the wi-fi radio from within the app itself, rather than having to quit the app and navigate to the iPhone's system settings to manually turn on the wi-fi radio (if you forgot to turn it on before starting the app)..... Seems a lot of these problems could be avoided by just automatically turning on the wi-fi when the app starts....
Make sure your Wifi is turned on. By: Carson Weber - Jan 7, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 At first, couldn't get it to work, but then noticed that I didn't have my wifi turned on. Duh... Works perfectly.
Work as advertised By: Hgwte - Jan 7, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 I just wish people will read instructions before giving it a bad review. Saves times.
does not work By: Untoothedyouth - Jan 7, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 went to mc donalds the only place it even began to act like it would work at and even then it STILL said i need to be logged in to get online. i thought it was supposed to do that for me? do not download this garbage.
Works as advertised. By: Critic75 - Jan 5, 2009 Version: 2.1.3 I used this app on an extended business trip last month, and it performed exactly as expected. If I was within range of an AT&T hotspot, I loaded the app and I was connected in seconds. Sure, it only saves a minute or so from the standard ATT login method, but until auto-recognition becomes the norm, this app is the next best thing.
The one star ding is because the 'Find Hotspots' button on the main screen, which I expected to show me a site survey, took me instead to ATT's wifi website. I also haven't been able to factor in hotspots where the SSID still comes up as SBC rather than ATTWIFI.
