Don't let the low rating because of non-AT&T users and iPod Touch users deter you. Eliminates the messy multistep process of connecting to the ATT network, entering your number, waiting for a text and then clicking on the link. You click on the app and wait a few seconds (normally 5 or so) and you are connected. AT&T's method would usually take a while because you would have to load their webpage over EDGE or 3G. Worth the money if you are near a AT&T hotspot.

What’s the point of an app which connects you to the internet refusing to work because you’re not connected to the internet? Seems like they want my phone number, and I don’t want them to have it.If it worked without sucking my phone number into some sort of telemarketing vortex, it would be fine. Since it doesn’t, one star. But only because there wasn’t a zero stars option.

To get this to work the first time, I had to manually cannect to the "attwifi" network, but I did not log in. Once my phone was connected to the network, going into this app logged me in, and since then simply opening this app within range of an AT&T network has worked perfectly. Excellent app! I wasn't making use of the SMS logins before because I couldn't be bothered. This greatly simplifies the process.

From their web site: "We may share personal information such as email addresses and usage data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes." Does that information include your cell phone number, so that you'll be getting calls from telemarketers on your cell? What usage information are they giving to direct narketers? What sites you've visited? Just be careful with apps that require you to give them your cell phone number.

this app does just what it says it does. it works well and makes loging in easy.people really need to rate apps on how they work and what they are meant to do. giving a bad review cuz you think it should do more then advertised doesnt help anyone.

If this works when I try it, later today, I go up to three stars. As it is, I'll leave it at one.The app would not allow me to connect to the attwifi network because I needed to submit my "One time setup" data, however it would not let me, because I needed to be connected to the internet, which I could not connect to, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet, because I could not enter my data, because I was not connected to the internet...Surely, you get my point.

Great app. Saves time when logging into AT&T hotspots, including Starbucks, airports, etc. For those that use AT&T hotspots, this is a must have.

Ok first, for all those who can't seem to figure this app out: it automates the soft login to AT&T. Meaning login to Attwifi in settings. App then sets you up with att website proxy login (paid service). Second they need the number b/c AT&T came out a bit ago saying they would make the at&t hotspots free to iPhone users (I think they just wanted to cut down user's 3G bandwidth usage). To get access to the wifi you need to login with your phone #. Now I don't know if this app sells out your info, like a few other posts stated, but it's not worth it for me to risk so I'm going get rid of it. To those less worried I hope I cleared things up a bit.

Basically there's nothing else to add to the title. It works as advertised and saves a lot of hassle and time when connecting to attwifi in places like Starbucks. And the app is free, thank you. If you want more functionality and more supported hotspots all over the world check their paid Easy Wi-Fi app.

Works wonderfully for me. To those complaining that this "can't see" the wireless networks: this isn't intended to connect to the wifi hotspots---you need to do that via the system settings the way you do normally on the iPhone. Do it once and the iPhone should re-connect automatically when it sees any ATT wifi again. Then, use this app to automate the *authentication*( after you are connected to the wifi), saving you the trouble of having to log in with your phone number, wait for the SMS message from ATT, etc. As i said, it works great for me. (I am also puzzled by the glowing reviews with only one star. I guess it's because the reviews default to one star and people accidentally miss/forget to change it?)

Is this app a scam?

I got the app but didn't use it yet. I'm always sceptical of free apps, so I just sat on it. After reading some of the reviews about the chance of my # being distributed, I deleted the app. I'm more than happy to manually log in to AT&T's wifi myself. But I'd still like to hear it from the developers of the app if it is true. So...?

I was ready to use this product but spent time reading the private usage police. They claim they will not directly contact you or give our your number, however, their usage policy says otherwise. They will give out your personal info to third parties.
