This little app provides a single service — it automatically connects you to free AT&T wi-fi hotspots. Without the app, you have to open your web browser, type in your cell phone number, wait for a text and then go back to a link in your web browser to connect to the wi-fi network. Easy Wi-Fi automates the process for you. I find the app useful because I find myself in different Starbucks locations around the city and this automatically connects my phone for me.

Perfect coffee companion. No problems with my iphone 3G. Would like to see the splash screen load faster and would like it to automatically turn on WiFi. You have to go to preferences and turn it on and connect to ATT hotspot then open this app and click connect. Any way to do that all with this app???? I'll change my rating to a 5!

Why isn't this compatible with Ipod Touch???

This would be a killer app for Ipod Touch, which relies soley on WIFI for internet access. I tried to install on my Ipod Touch 2nd gen and got an error message. :(

Going to rate this well because I believe they willl modify to work with the iTouch. Many iTouch users are AT&T subscribers. They are just savvy and looked at the iPhone but were unwilling to pay the $30/month "data" fee for 3G. That would be $360/yr or actually more like $400 with taxes, junk fees, etc. With the proliferation of wi-fi, I found no need to pay this, plus didn't want to be under the dreaded AT&T "contract" again. Even if you don't have AT&T wireless, Starbucks and McDonalds use AT&T wi-fi. It's free at Starbucks as long as you register and use a Starbucks card once monthly. That is all...

It's ashame AT&T didn't provide this app themselves when they release the service, considering how many times the released a teaser then retracted the service. To take five minutes to get a valid WiFi connection was ludicrous and my Cappacino was cold when I'm ready to surf. It's now just two clicks away and no more than 30 seconds wait so my drink is now just cool enough to drink. Oh thank you Devicescape.

I downloaded this at macdonalds. I had to switch to 3g to set it up for the first time, switched back to wi-fi and connected. Setup easy, app works perfectly.

I work upstairs from a Starbucks and across the street from a Barns and Noble and still can't get wi-fi.

It is a shame that all these itouch users gave it low ratings because they fail at reading WHAT THE DEVELOPER has to say. If you are on a iPod touch, don't DL this. Plain and simple. LOL at one idiot who rated low because of Apples's mishap. Get intelligence please.
