Just like the developer states, it simplifies and speeds up the wifi login procedure at ATT hotspots (at all Starbucks, for example). My rating does not address the price. It's up to you what the savings in time and hassle are worth. If you spend 20 min. each weekday at Starbucks checking headlines (consider Instapaper) like I do, it would be foolish not to have this app. A note re other reviews: any difficulty having to login again because your connection was dropped has nothing to do with this app. It only logs you on by hitting one application button on your Springboard, so you don't have to open Safari, enter your phone number, wait for the text mesaage, activate the hyperlink in the text message, and close the extra window left open in Safari. If you lose your connection, you would have lost it whether you use this app or not. Only, if you are not using this app, it will be a much bigger hassle getting back online. Also, I have used this app since it was released, months now, and I have not experienced any issue with a violation of my privacy. Finally, on the price, I don't understand why they are charging the same for this ATT only app as they are for their app that will work at any hotspot (where you qualify for access); it's not an issue for me, but if I was buying now and they were still the same price I would probably get their other app.

I work at starbucks; and as a AT&T customer I get free wifi; it was very annoying everytime I went on break I had to go thru a series of txt messages to log on, cutting my Internet time in half! Amazing simple 1 touch app; + I got it for free :)

At Barnes & Noble at least, if you idle for 5 & a half minutes, you have to run the app and login again. Ugh...

My friend got an iPhone. When he tried to use it at a AT&T wifi spot, he did not get the telephone number screen. He was not able to log in using his telephone number. If that happens to you this app will not be able to log you in. You need to contact AT&T for a solution. Then you will me able to use this app and you'll see why it's usefull!

I do sometimes have to go in to settings and select AT&T wifi the launch the app mildly annoying at most but way better than the AT&T text message log in junk

I don't know why this app has such a low rating, it's one of the most useful apps I have ever seen! It's great if you go to starbucks a lot. Totally worth the $3

You would think that getting on to an AT&t hotspot would be easy, right? Nope. It is a colossal pain. That's what makes this little app so fantastic. It takes the pain away (mostly).

This app works every time.I don't know what everyone is complaining about.Maybe they are having some kind of trouble that I'm not having,but mine works perfectly.But you could add a wifi finder that does not require having to open safari.Then it would be perfect!Just a suggestion.

if you have AT&T internet, then you don't need this. just login to the at&t wifi page from safari using your email address (the one you registered your internet to), and password, and get free access to the nation's largest Wireless internet provider. you can find ATTWIFI in all US starbucks stores (not in casinos), and most Barnes and Noble bookstores have it too (I know they have it in San Mateo, ca's Store)!

I work at Starbucks and am there more than I am at home. All I have to do is start this app and I'm online within 10 seconds easy, if it doesn't work I know somethings wrong with the WiFi at work cause its not the app thats messing up. Once again, very happy with this, would highly recommend if you are near AT&T hotspots alot. Lets face it having to type in your phone number every ten mins and wait for a text message is VERY annoying! PS. I don't know why people are giving this app bad reviews. I may be wrong, but I don't think that this app is suppose to "find" wifi hotspots for you...it's suppose to log you into AT&T's hotspurs without having to enter you phone number and wait forba text for your access code.

Much quicker than entering your phone number, waiting for an SMS and following the link. Launch this application and it takes care of the required authentication automatically.
