Wonderful App.

My girlfriend and I really love this app. We had been writing things down on a legal pad in the past. I only have 3 more words to say. "This App Rocks!!!!"

Love it!!

Perfection!

What a motivating tool! Log your caloric intake, factor exercise, set goals, view progress on a neat chart. This little guy kick started my diet! I normally couldn't imagine saying this but, it makes dieting fun! Seriously. And super graphics. Cute pictures of all the foods. Loves it.

Stick with it and it works!

Pros:- I've lost 10 pounds in about 5 weeks, 1/4 of my goal!- I still eat out every day (Mexican, Italian, etc.) and I still enjoy my Americone Dream on occasion, but I'm smarter- Adding new foods is easy if you have the data in front of you- No app crashes so far, decent start-up time- Good built-in database of foods- Nice graphs and summary reportsCons:- database is missing scores of common restaurants that publish nutritional data online- looking up something on Safari is difficult since the app doesn't "remember" you were entering a custom food when you start it up again.- no way to submit nutritional information back to the app for other users.- no way to publish nutritional information in a way that can be "read" by the app (a custom URL protocol handler, for instance, or a screen-scraper for common diet web sites).- no way to export the data back to yourself, such as sending it as CSV via email.

Great app

Works great, can't believe it is free. Not free from issues but a great app for counting calories and losing weight.

great app, great results

I got this application right when I first started calorie counting. After logging my meals and exercise on this for 2 and 1/2 months, I lost 25 pounds! It's a great tool when you're not sure how many calories label-less foods would be (i.e. fruits and veggies, meats), but also has a tremendous selection of store brand foods already in it's library. It's lacking on the restaurant foods a bit and definitely doesn't list alcoholic calories. But watching my caloric intake go into the "red" zone (otherwise the "over my limit for today" line) it's a brilliant psychological punishment that encourages me to make sure the next day I compensate for it. Either with what I choose to eat or how I choose to exercise. Also, great info on how many calories different exercises are including *naughtier* hobbies. Probably not a fun toy for someone who isn't calorie counting though. Once you start realizing how many calories are in different foods, it's an eye opening experience that can be frustrating at times.

I love it!!!!!

This app is awesome! I am an Ironman Triathlete and I find this app to be very beneficial to my training. Would recomend to both athletes of all levels and to anyone looking to lose some weight.

Don't like it

This app doesn't have much veriaty of food. Like when I went to see dairy queen they didn't even show the ice cream. Not even worth it even though it's free.

Everything I wanted

By far the best calory counting app I have used. And free? What's the catch? I love using the graph of my weight over time. I highly recommend this app.

Great App!
By: iTerror - Mar 26, 2009

For anyone who is trying to watch what they eat. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it should have a way of backing up or exporting your recipes and history. I had to restore my iPod after installing iTunes 8.1 and I lost all of the information since my last synch, which was about 3 weeks worth. Other than that it is an excellent app!

This is a great free app. It's almost as much fun as any game I have downloaded and easier than any diet.

Great, easy to use app. Using it daily. All positives, but search could be better and app occasionally shuts down.

Nice little app; very useful
By: Skafiend007 - Mar 26, 2009
Version: 1.1
Very useful app for those watching their weight, setting a weight goal, etc. Although some basic food items you'd want to input aren't there (can't remember them right now, but trust me there are a few), many of the usual ones are available to input iin the proper amount. Add in the exercises you've performed that day/week and you get a pretty accurate picture off how many calories you've added, how many you've burned and where to stand in your weightloss goals. LOTS of exercises listed in the app so that no matter what you're into, it's available to input (even sex!.. yes that burns substantial calories too.. sometimes) In all a very useful app for the iPhone for those who don't care about the games.

Excellent app, especially for the price!

Works well. Easy to use. Great graphics and charts.

Very helpful app
By: disnutt - Mar 25, 2009

I've tried keeping food journals but never kept it up for long because I was always misplacing my notebooks. I ALWAYS have my iPhone handy so I've actually been tracking my food and finally seeing results!

Greatness!
By: P90X user - Mar 25, 2009
Version: 1.1
It took the first few days to learn the application, but once I entered my typicle foods, it was a piece of cake (sorry for that one). The weight loss tracker is great but the nutrient tracker is even better. It even accounts for calories burned through workouts. Greatness!
