Mobicip Safe Browser

This app is worth a try if you're looking for Internet parental control.Great app.

Not impressed!

The browser this app uses is too slow compared to safari! If this app is for your kids iPhone then you probably won't be bothered by that. But if you want this app for your (the parent's) iPhone then be prepared for slower Internet browsing & also sites that are fine for the family being blocked!?!...In the end I deleted this app & opened an account with google (see settings, safesearch lock, on google site) - now have family safe browsing on pc & iPhone & it didn't cost a penny! (well apart from the money wasted on this app! :-(

MobicipI have been using your product on our childs iTouch for the past year, and have been very happy with it. Our other 2 children got iTouch's for Christmas and have been waiting for us to get them setup with this so they can surfRD

Dishonest, but great filtering and customer service

I'm a youth user of this application. I have to say, it works really well. The filtering is good, it doesn't block websites without any innapropritate content. Overall, I have to say its quite accurate. However, soon after I bought it, I realized that there was an unmentioned $9.99/year service fee to access any of the useful features - custom blocking, basically changing any settings. It blocked completely unnessesary things. However, I contacted customer service about the issue and they provided me with a free 1-year subscription! Overall, I am quite satisfied. I've been using it for quite a while now, with no issues other than the lack of retina display support for the interface - the pages load fine, but buttons etc. are blurry. I'm using an iPod Touch 4g, so it can get annoying. It also takes a while to load up from its selection - but overall its a good application and fairly low in price for its class.

Mobicip Safe Browser
By: Ian S R - 31-Dec-2009
Version: 2.1.5
I have 2 children with the i phone touch and needed to make sure that they have parental control software installed before I would allow them acces to Wi Fi. Mobicip ticked all the boxes it's a great piece of software that is very easy to install and gives you peace of mind that the kids are safe when online. Just to complicate things I needed to change my e-mail address within a few days of mobicip being installed and the Mobicip Crew were great, and very helpful responding to my emails within 24 hrs, advising what I needed to do with clear direct instructions. I will be recommending Mobicip to all of our friends whose kids have the ipod touch.Keep up the good work Mobicip.

WARNING! " ALL" images are blocked unless you pay additional fees

I wasn't' happy the $4.99 Mobicap iphone app strict "ALL" images in Google images tab. My daughter loves to look at the animal pics in Google images tab and with this $4.99 Mobicap app, it blocks EVERY Google picture under images unless you upgrade to their $9.99 subscription plan which comes out to $14.98 . Hopeful a better way will be developed soon through Google. After all Google is the one responsible for inappropriate sites in search not Apple. I hate using and paying third party websites and middle man plus the fact they need personal information to run the app. Don't like it! I just don't trust sites like this. especially having our children's info and locations. Hopefully Google will be responsible in making a FREE iphone app for parental control soon. I want my money back!

Version 2, VAST improvement

Persistant cookies is the big one for me and the multiple tab browsing works well. Now, if only apple would let u choose an alternative default browser so you can follow outside links easier (without having to copy and paste the link which is what I've been doing).

Used for some time now and it simply works. Only problem is clicking links in other apps doesn't work. Esp annoying with emails. Simple to use but does slow down browsing speeds significantly, particularly the logging in process.
