Documents By: Buffalomike - Mar 19, 2009 Version: 1 This app is pretty good, it is free so therefore dont expect it not to be limmited in some ways. Yes there are banner adds and a limited amount of space. However it is the first office suit for the itouch. You can upload the docs to your google website and then convert them to word format.
Pretty disappointed. By: sonya8 - Mar 17, 2009 Version: 1 I use Google Docs and hoped that this would be a portable version of that, but it doesn't work well. Importing from Google Docs works, but all formatting is gone. Spreadsheets lose columns because this thing is actually limited to three columns and ten rowes, which makes the spreadsheet totally useless. The UI is just weird, and of course, the developer doesn't mention in the description the really annoying nag window you get every time you open this program. If this is a test run of the full version, definitely DON'T waste your money. There are other apps that work with Google Docs far better than this one.
you can do the same with google docs in safari !!!!!!! By: flippydoo - Mar 16, 2009 Version: 1 Had a normal document - watermark and logo at top of first page. watermark didn't make it, figured that. But the logo didn't either. Then all the section headers were none existant, just more text along with all the formating was gone. I got the idea of just using safari to edit within in google docs. that works great. I still lose the watermark, but that is all that is wrong with it. So why is this needed if you can access it all from google docs??????I've have not tried a spreadsheet.
Epic Fail By: MeunsterMasher - Mar 12, 2009 Version: 1 I uploaded a .doc from Google Docs to test it. It didn't have any special formatting, just some indentations and quotations. It failed miserably. It was missing spaces, indents, and other punctuation. Complete fail.
Qpp By: Gjmbfhnvghddhk - Mar 12, 2009 Version: 1 Sweet app
Spreadsheet unusable By: ndemaste - Mar 12, 2009 Version: 1 Don't even think about trying to add or use standard function buttons.
Not syncing correctly. By: Heigev - Mar 7, 2009 Version: 2.2 I tested for about half an hour and found that formulas in spreadsheets were not syncing correctly. Developer's asking price for full app is reasonable once the bugs are ironed out.
Free version unusable By: Jim Bezdan - Mar 7, 2009 Version: 1 The ads block some buttons making it impossible to use.
Awesome! By: Tapdefenseaddict - Mar 6, 2009 Version: 1 The subject says it all.
Cut & Paste? By: LittlePaulie - Mar 6, 2009 Version: 2.1 This looks good so far but I gotta have cut and paste. That feature alone would put this over the top. Add some light rich text features and I'd pay far more than you're asking for the paid version.
Any chance of it?
Limted Functionality with no warning??? By: jlc-hammer - Mar 5, 2009 Version: 1 You can have a whopping 10 cells in Spreadsheet? Please . . . .
First thoughts By: halwaterman - Mar 5, 2009 Version: 1 I've played around with this app for about a half hour and here are some first impressions. Please note, I do NOT have Google Docs, so my use of this app is limited to creating docs and not editing existing docs. With that in mind...it is a simple handy app if I'm ever on the road, and for whatever reason, I need to create a quick simple word (text) doc. I can do that on this app and then email it and/or store it if necessary. When I email, it would be nice to be able to pull addresses from my contacts instead of manually typing email addresses. Also, when I send the email, it would be nice if I could enter a name that it would say who sent the email. As it is now, it comes through as from: "documents@savysoda". This looks like spam at first glance to the recipient.I created a text doc and a csv doc and emailed them to myself. I then opened the docs on my iphone. The csv doc came out formatted properly, the txt doc did not (my typing was preceded with strange looking characters). I then opened both docs on my desktop, and the opposite happened. The txt doc looked fine. The csv doc was not formatted properly (typing in 4 cells got bunched up in to 2 cells). Some more features and clean up would be needed here if I was to consider purchasing the full version.
