I have used several apps for voice recording on my IPOD TOUCH 2G, but this one takes the cake. Why???- It has clear recording as well as adjustments for microphone input volume- It has macro files for configuring the recording for different environments and situationsEx: lower mic sensitivity for individual recordings, so as to cut some background noise - BUT - higher sensitivity when recording a meeting of several people, so it picks up more.- Playback with a button for fast rewinding 5 seconds helps to repeat an important thing you'd like to hear again.- When transcribing the 5 second repeat button helps to go back when you can't keep up with typing.- Audio editing makes it SUPER easy to cut out unnecessary portions of the recording, only to keep that which you need. Also you can more easily find a part of a recording by visually sliding the index arrow to the point where you would like to listen. Amazing features for my work.- Very intuitive and helpful to those of us who work with speeches, recorded meetings, or when we'd like to send a simple greeting via audio to someone.- FINALLY someone configured the program to save files either in MP3 or in WAVE, making it easier for passing files to others in more universally accepted formats.Thank you for this wonderful program.

I love it, please make it more advance. So when we down load the voice in to york server we should be auditing we more advance tools+ adding pictures. I hunestly I'm willing to pay one time registration fee and you can wall 20, 30, 50 or up to 100mb storage so when do not to worry if i'm out of country and I lost or Brocken my 3g iphone what I'm going to do. Just logging to my accout from any where in the world and show my job or project. That would be excellent. NOTE: Do you invester to work on this and make it one of a kind product. Es gratis pero de nada sirve si no te registras en una web, por lo cual has de pagar. Sin registrarte no puedes acceder a los archivos grabados, ni tan siquiera con la aplicación para Mac Phone view. Por tanto si no piensas pagar olvida esta app. Mejor iTalk, que va de narices.

Está aplicación es genial, súper funcional, incluso puedes cortar la parte del audio que no te sirva, desde luego que la recomiendo, es genial. Obviamente necesitas un micro, si tienes iphone no hay ningún problema pero si tienes ipod, este deberá ser 2G y tendrás que comprar un manos libres.

The recording is good, but I wasn't able to download my dictations over the net, I had to create an account at mydictations.com, which is only free for thirty days, then it is USD$19 per month, I think you would be better getting an app for a couple of dollars, instead of this.

myDictation stands head and shoulders above the other bargain voice recorders due to its comprehensive editing abilities. If you only want to record and play back, most any will do. But if you want to edit, then this is the one to get. To get one with comparable editing capabilities, you'll have to pay $2.99 or even much more. Of course the recording and playback are excellent on this, but it does much more!Try the voice macros, which are handy for students and professionals alike. See the visual waveform of your recording, a great tool when playing or editing. NOTE: To use the recording, editing and playback of this app, there is no need to register, or give them credit card info. That may be necessary to use their transcription services, but I have no use for that. I have't tried to transfer my recordings off my iPod Touch 2G/3.12, so I I'll have to tell you about that later. For now, trust me that you should try this yourself!

The audio quality is great. It does not record the file as an mp3 to your Iphone. It records it as .wav and .caf

Having read numerous reviews and after trialling 4 programs ( QuickVoice etc.) I plumped for My Dictation. It allows for Pause and Insert and can be used by the novice and expert alike. Using Dragon, I can dictate, upload a Wav file and get it automatically transcribed for free!! That is how good the quality is. An excellent product.You do not have to subscribe.Bill Birchall

Wenn man die Aufnahmen auch noch per Email verschicken könnte, wäre diese App die beste im Universum. Die Regelung der Einganssignal-Lautstärke ist ein sehr grosses Plus. Ich wünschte mir noch iPhone typische Bedienung...Da sie (ja, die App-li-ka-ti-on) aber kostenlos ist, kann man nicht meckern. Sehr gut gemacht!!!

Ik had dit programma gedownload omdat ik live concerten wou opnemen, vergeet het maar , zelfs met de ingebouwde volumeregelaar is de opname overstuurd, terwijl tijdens de opname de meters niet in het rood kwamen. Als iemand een goed opname programma weet voor live concerten waar de levels zijn in te stellen en niet de opname overstuurd is hoor ik het graag.

The recording and editing functions seem to work well and I would love to be able to record directly to good quality mp3 files as this can do. However you have to subscribe to their web site for $20 per month to access recordings. Program description on iTunes claims there is a server built into the app but I could not find one and there is no mention in their docs. They should consider releasing a non crippled version that will transfer files directly to a local computer. I'd pay at least $5 for that.

I give this App a 5-star rating. I consider it to be EXCELLENT. I've used it on my iPhone for around a year without one problem, just ultimate success and satisfaction. I can't imagine there is no charge for it because it is grrrrreat!

2nd review. I don't understand why people give this app a negative bashing? It is exceptionally good app. It only costs to use their server, however, you can download your files direct to your pc using your own browser. The app tells you how to do this, so why the moans? Come this is the very best dictation software out there and it's FREE so grab it will you canFantastic free app, grab it while you can. Many thanks for making it free, I love this program 4.5 star
