Good sim game

I got this game because I like sims and I wanted to see the google maps integration. The map integration shows up at the beginning of the game and you can see all the ports of call. It's pretty cool that you can see where they are and what they really look like. For the game itself, the graphics are not as polished as some other titles, but that's not what this game is about. Working your ships and building your wealth is. I enjoyed piloting the ship into the different harbors. Also, some of the other challenges were fun too. Eg, you have to avoid collisions with other ships using radar, etc. I kept thinking I'm going to stop playing but kept going one more round. Worth a try.

Quel bonheur de retrouver ce jeu sur notre iPhone ! Ports of Call je le connais depuis l'époque de l'Amiga 500. Et c'était un de mes jeux préféré ! Je retrouve les mêmes sensations que dans la version d'origine. Tout y est ! Pour tous les fans de simulations économiques et navales, plongez sur ce hit vous ne le regretterez pas !

I love this game to pieces, have been a fan of the series for YEARS and a long time owner of platinum licenses for the full versions etc. The iPhone iteration is well done, its the original game in its true glory. But the control mechanism really needs some tweaking as it is tough to navigate yourself into the harbors. Other than that, great game and well worth it!

I found the shipping to be just as fun as last time I tried this for PC. Truly a classic, and it feels good buying this great piece of software for the second time around. Now if someone would bother to do Crimefighter..

Super Spiel. Wer diesen Klassiker liebt, wird auf seine Kosten kommen. Das Spiel funktioniert auf meinem iphone 3GS (3.01) ohne Probleme. Es werden mehrere Sprachen unterstützt.

Well if you liked it on the Amiga you really should buy it.

Well I am losing soo much time to this game.Highs- True Port of the Amiga classic everything is in their, Icebergs, Raft saving, leaving/entering ports all of it.- Allows you to play you're own music whilst playing, I listen to audiobooks whilst plugging away at my shipping Empire- Form factor works really well. Use the enlarged control buttons for most ease of use.Lows- Saving the Raft is still as hard as ever, I know the Science behind it but the thing move so fast!- General speed needs to be a bit slower on main screen if you have a lot of ships it is difficult to stop time to visit your office before another event flashes up.All in all If you played and liked the orginal (Did you buy it or get it through other channels???)You will love this Conversion and you will finally be paying the developers the money you owe them ;)

I just loved the game, and like other reviewers I bought it because of nostalgia. The 2-star is because there is no modification to the platform (except the controller hairpin for ports). The fonts are stone-ugly like the original, the buttons are not very good. If you want to port something, do it right! (have a look at Wolfenstein for a glimse of how to do it).

I used to hammer this game on my A1000, A500, and even my CD32!! The game would not be the same if the graphics or fonts were changed! The graphics as they are present the game perfectly! The buttons on the side are a fine way of handling the lack of a "right click" menu on the iPhone. Smooth and functional gameplay - I love it!!

Ca fait toujours plaisir de retrouver les titres sympas de l'Amiga sur iPhone.Certes le jeu est un peu répétitif et les axes de transports rentables auraient pu être un peu modifié, mais j'apprécie le fait de faire revivre sur iPhone d'anciens titres des années 80 qu'on a apprécié, d'où 4 etoiles pour motiver les suivants ;)

This is an excellent shipping simulation and very realistic as well- well worth the money- the graphs are old fashioned but it isn't really a problem as you relly get addicted to the game. A must buy and in the Top 5 intelligent games for the IPhone!

Helemaal kicken is dit dat ik het op mijn telefoon heb. Alleen er moet wel wat aan de besturing gedaan worden mijn vingers zijn te groot om ze te gebruiken voor de besturing.

This is a very deep and engaging game that offers a unique experience. It's apparently a port from the Amiga platform which I had never played. The only warning for people is that it's definitely not a "pick-up and play" in the grocery line kind of game. It takes some time to learn and time to play which I don't happen to have a problem with (being a seasoned PC gamer) but some may find it intimidating. The devs seem to be very active with this app constantly updating and taking feedback which is always great to see. Overall a great effort sure to please deep strategy fans.

Also ich find die App super. Exakt wie früher auf dem Amiga. Die Schiffssteuerung ist etwas schwierig, die Funktion hab ich aber sowieso immer ausgeschaltet.

One of my favourite Amiga games ever was Ports of Call and I've always wanted it to come to the Mac so I can play it.It's only been around 10 years but finally it has come to the Mac... of sorts. This iPhone version is a 100% accurate port of, in my opinion, the best trading game of all time. You get to steer the ship into port, rescue castaways, and navigate reefs all while trying to build up a shipping empire.The graphics are exactly the same as the Amiga's which, while not that great today, showed the capability of a computer years ahead of the game even the Mac of the day.This game is a must for anyone who's into the whole trading game genre.

Es funktioniert sehr gut. Dieses Programm jeden cent wert. Aber trozdem ist es sehr gemein weil man am anfang nur 4,6 millionen dolar hat und das größte Schiff hat 60,00 dolar gekostet hat.
