Great App By: KatieJewel - 15-Oct-2009 Version: 2.0.0 I have had this app for a while now. Had some problems with loosing data when updated. Hopefully that won't happen anymore with the website to upload from. Definitely worth the money.
Hey By: This app POS - Apr 5, 2011 Version: 2.7 Pos app! I hate to give one star
data vanished By: asifalam - 6-Sep-2009 Version: 1.40 after I installed the new update, all my data just vanished. now I have to input them all again. also no support available for this app as with my previous problems got no response even after couple of tries to get support. There is another pricebook app which is very good.
Excellent for price comparison By: Libby's ipod - Mar 16, 2011 Version: 2.7 This is the best app I have purchased. I enter my info a little different as I enter the pricing info from several sales ads in order to determine the best deal and then delete the not so good deals, and utilize this as my "buy" list. This is a must for all coupon diva's and smart savy shoppers alike. I would like to see the designer add a note below the sale option so that I may enter when the sale is ending. I would also like to see the coupon option have an amount to enter. I had a price book binder that I did not keep up because it was such a pain. This is so easy I can enter the info while taking my dog outside.
Not Bad By: jellyfish16 - 11-Sep-2009 Version: 1.40 This was a good app until the latest update rendered this app completely useless. I lost all my data, and now can't even save new information. I wish I didn't allow the update on my ipod... would have saved me a lot of grief.
Great improvements! By: lvlc - Apr 22, 2010 Version: 2.2.0 Stopped using it because it was kind of frustrating. Gave it another chance to find the suprise of big improvemnets. Love that I can import/export between device and website and can work in either to my convenience! Keep it up! There is still room for improvement. For example: If I want to edit a product name I have to tap it and it takes me to the price list and then have to tap to go back so that the "edit name" button appear. And I don't know why but the copy/paste of the iPhone is not working...
Useless in this state, even if was free By: PolRalos - 30-Oct-2009 Version: 2.0.0 The user interface makes this app unusable. After an upgrade, the application crashes when I try to access any of my 3 previous entries (all I've been willing to enter since the ui is so bad...)

Update to previous review. By: Tarain - Mar 7, 2010 Version: 2.2.0 My last review was not a good one, but this app has finally started working again. I am very happy with it now.
dose not work By: BeckyDJD - Jan 25, 2010 Version: 2.1.0 can't get it to work, just keeps shutting down, don't bother
Great app! By: biblestamps - Sep 15, 2009 Version: 1.40 This review is for version 1.40. I am very pleased with it. The app is straightforward and does just what it should do...it has the basics of a solid price book. Let me start the next round of praises with this: I am not related to the developer and I didn't even know him until I emailed with a customer support question. So you can believe me when I say that this developer definitely sets the bar high for others when it comes to customer satisfaction and continually improving already good apps. I had made a suggestion for some features I would like to see (a couple of which are in this version and a couple of which are coming soon) and from there it turned into a fairly in-depth back and forth, lengthy email conversation regarding this app. I can say without any doubt that he really takes time to listen to what users are saying and what they'd like to have and he considers every suggestion and tries to implement as many as possible in a user-friendly manner that will meet various needs and expectations of users across the board. I am excited for the new features that are planned but even as the app stands now, I give it 5 stars. :)
From the Developer By: AerendeDeveloper - Oct 19, 2009 Version: 2.0.0 The data loss with upgrades that was a big problem is FIXED now that this new version of Price Book 2.0.0 has a companion website where your data is stored safely. Your data can be entered on the website and downloaded to your device. And changes to your data are automatically uploaded to your account on the website once you register your device with the website. There are also a number of new features such as prices can be compared across units in the same unit group. Unit groups are: 1) weights, 2) fluids, 3) lengths, 4) areas.
Liking the new version and website! By: Frugal Lady - Oct 21, 2009 Version: 2.0.0 I just found out that the new version lets me enter prices on the price book website and I can download them to the app on the iphone. I find it easier to enter in long lists of prices on the website at my desktop and then port it to the phone for when I go shopping. It also works the other way around: when I go shopping, I edit or add prices on the fly on my phone, which also updates the prices on the website automagically. To the reviewers who lost their price data with updates: what worked for me is to export my prices via email as a CSV file and then I loaded the CSV file into the website; the site and the app are set up for that. Yay for saving money!!
Great Start, Needs a little work By: Rob Fredette - May 25, 2009 Version: 1.0 I give the idea for this application 5 stars. The only reason I am rating it a little low is that version 1.0 has a few small bugs. I have emailed the developer and hope that a new version will be out with fixes shortly. This app could grow into a must have for iUsers. Different stores have the same product but packaged in different ways. Our local bulk outlet store has 128 US oz. bottles of juice at one price. The local supermarket has 2 liter bottles at a different price. Which one is the better buy? And imagine if you could enter information from the local flyers so you can know if something is a good buy elsewhere or not?Lots of potential, let's hope that development continues!
Finally a price book app By: key134 - May 11, 2009 Version: 1.0 I have been waiting for a price book app, I even considered making one myself. But, I didn't, and it's a good thing. Price Book Comparison Shopper does the job well. There aren't a lot of bells and whistles, but that makes sense, considering a price book is something that can be done with a pen and paper.ProsGets the job doneKeeps historical dataHandles units/comparison wellSortingCons (in order)There is no default date (the current day would be nice)There is no confirm on delete (I already accidentally deleted something)Every entry is manual, there are no pre-filled optionsYou cannot add an item from the search screen (yes, you add from the home screen, but why is it separate?)No auto-capitalization on the Add Item input field (kinda nitpicky, but irritating)Because of the unit comparison, you lose the original quantity of items (it would be nice if it were kept somewhere)WishlistA default date!A notes field for each itemDefault options for units (probably including "unit")Graphs (not terribly necessary)Export data (I want to be able to play with it in another program and have a backup)Overall, I recommend the app. It just needs a bit of polish. Either way, it does exactly what I need it to do, unlike those pesky "Grocery list" apps.
Not bad By: Tarain - Jun 23, 2009 Version: 1.1 Needs to be updated, but it's not bad. I would like to save my entry without filling out every field. I would like to have the option of having my list alphabetically or by category. I would also like the items under each letter category to be saved in alphabetical order. Lastly, I would like the crashes to end. However, I have noticed that if I enter all info that shows on screen first and then scroll all the way down and enter what is left, without moving the screen again, it crashes much less.
Soooo Close! By: Jonmon95 - Jun 25, 2009 Version: 1.2 I have been searching high and low for an app that I can use to find the best grocery deals to feed my family. I want to use my iphone rather than carry around a notebook. This app is so close to meeting the mark. I wish it had some drop down options for filling in the data(ex. numbers for price) so that you didn't have to use the keyboard. Also wish there was some default info (ex. date). I don't like that you have to enter all the areas before you can save. I think once the info is loaded it will be very helpful but the thought of standing in a grocery store entering all the info to get started is overwhelming! It would also be great if you could search by store so that as you are shopping you could just update the info for that store without searching individual items. This is the closest thing I have found so I'm sticking with it but updates would be appreciated!
Useful for Bargain Shoppers By: Rerun7 - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 1.40 I have never kept a price book because of how complicated it seemed but now that I have this app I am well on my way to keeping up with all the sales. I am appreciative for the recent update which added alphebetization. I have contacted the developer about a couple of other improvements like being able to edit a title and also having a field for the brand name. I have been very impressed with his responsiveness and willingness to work with my suggestions. It looks like this will be a five-star app with the next update.
Crashes By: Ingtoffer - Jul 1, 2009 Version: 1.2 It crashes every time I try to add a item or price or anything.Tried to email the devoloper and it goes to a not found page.
