This is my first review on the app store and I've had the 1st Gen iPhone since it came out, so that's gotta tell you something about my motivation to right any sort of review for anything. Since downloading it, it's worked perfectly and hasn't crashed once. I haven't even reset my phone yet. I'm honestly shocked by the features provided by this app and how well this app works. People can drink all of the Haterade they want when they rant about artists using auto-tune, but I'm a professional singer who personally finds it to be entertaining, and even more so now that I can enjoy it for myself. I still can't believe that this app gives any iPhone user the opportunity to access auto-tune on-the-go. It's crazy. The Apple commercials always say, "There's an app for that, too," but who knew that it would include perfect auto-tune functionality? Say, whaaat?! When I first heard about it, I'll admit to my extreme skepticism. I thought it would be cheesy & lame as hell, but this app swiftly proved me wrong from the moment of initial download. It simply works! It automatically records whatever you sing or say into the headphone mic and gives you the option to save it and upload it to Facebook/Myspace. I especially appreciate the customization ability in the tuning section. You can change the scale or major of the tone you would like to use to alter your voice, or you can just set it to the settings that T-Pain likely uses when he records his songs. Anyone who likes to sing will enjoy this app. It has 5 free T-Pain instrumental songs that play karaoke-style (with lyrics)so that you can record your own version. It also includes 3 different beats that you can freestyle over. I'm so impressed by this app, and I'm usually the one who drinks all of that Haterade. I will say this, though, this app is not for people with sticks up their butts. It's all in good fun. I can't wait until "On A Boat" is released! That's the best song EVAR.

This app is AMAZING I had. It on the computer and it wouldn't work as good as this just one thing missing... Saving as mp3s and after that it's perfect but still 5/5

Overall a relatively cool application, however it is not worth the three dollar price tag. For 99 cents I would say go ahead, but not for this.

This is one App I see having loads of fun with yet.. still needs:1) more 'PAINful' content2) ability to save files as WAV and/or MP3 format3) simpler UI4) more karaoke style content where users can follow lyrics.. there's nothing like this to date (luv this Smule!)5) ways to lie into social nets6) co market with peripheral companies (ie. Speck, Logitech, Altec Lansing, Ultimate Ears, Axio) and offer a kit that has a complete 'T-Pain Studio': iPhone, cool iPhone case, headphone/mic combo, bag and portable speakerT-Pain App is a wonderful way for normal folks to experience music creation.Keep it up Smule!Cheers,Sam (Host, Sam's Cool Picks)

Ok, I've had my iPhone for a year now, downloaded hundreds of apps, and yet never wrote a review until now. I stumbled on this little jem last night and I have been having so much fun. This is a must to download! Note to smule: please add more original beats. Ability to export songs some where (i.e. to computer, iPhone, or some website) and a tutorial for different pitches, and tones to further the experience. Thank you!

Only one complaint, once you download a new beat, it automatically starts recording. Can it send you back to the beat menu instead?

This app is really fun to use and recommend it the only thing is the app won't let me download any songs. It keeps telling me I don't have an Internet connection which I clearly do. I don't think you should buy it until they fix this.
