I have been waiting for an app to handle all that iBookshelf does. The scanning is excellent, the lookup is accurate, and the vitual bookshelf is cool. Great and effective app. Would love to see defaults for location and hardcover. Also would like a quick add button that would go straight to the scan. However, even without those additions, this is a 5 star app.

I like this app, but it's worth noting that you have to pay extra for the barcode functionality. This is only 59p but it should be made clearer in the description. I have scanned a quick selection and it has performed exactly as described so far.

Love the app for keeping track of my books. Each time there is an update it not only fixes some bugs but adds new features only making it better. Easy to use and the export to email the database to keep it safe

Bardzo przyjemna aplikacja spełniająca świetnie swoją funkcję. Niezły engine wyszukiwania po ISBN - znajduje nawet zupełnie nowe książki (ogólnie odnalazł ok 50% z 300 które mam skatalogowane). Niestety nie da się dodać własnych okładek - może w następnej wersji? :)

When I bought this app it was really cool and working as it should. since I updated to the latest version (1.6) nothing is working anymore. Instead of getting the data based on the ISBN number the application crashes. Changing the title of a book leads to a deletion of the book. It is just a collection of bugs.Hopefully this will be fixed in the next update

Found this yesterday and I have begun with my data entry. So far it's a good start and almost exactly what I have been looking for. I didn't realize that I should have done last name first for authors. (Please let me delete the mistakes.) I read several different series' of books. I'd like a place to ID if the book is part of a series - Kurt Wallender, Lucas Davenport, Alex Cross, Kinsey Milhone etc.....and the ability to sort by this list would be great. (to fill in the installments I am missing from a series would be icing on the cake!!) The date in which the book was published, when I read it and/or bought it would be EXACTLY what I have been looking for. Great job so far, I'll continue to figure out how to make it work until the updates come out. EH

This app does not even deserve one star, whenever I have tried to add a book it has returned to my home screen and likewise when I try to view by books in bookshelf mode (turned to the side). Do not buy it, I can honestly say that I have wasted my money on this app.

I don't understand why the developer of this app has made the ISBN the dominant field. If you don't know the ISBN, then you've got a problem initially. It requires that you write something down even if it's a bunch of xxx's. This is absolutely a killer criteria. The "rating" and "status" fields are much too dominant. For my part I would need several things that would make book listing useful, like the library cataloge number, publisher, pub date, pub location, series, website, category, status, with the ability to edit and change the fields. Above the fields should be large enough to acomidate most book titles. It's a pity that the developers of Book Ba, who have a very useful application for Palm don't seem interested at present to make the application available for the iPhone. But, maybe that will change int the future ...

Good idea but needs updates. Editing feature to change category, ability to search net with title or author if ISBN unknown, and back-up system essential for large collections. I was thrown out of program several times. Could be terrific with few changes.
