Nice app and not too expensive, but it's quite glitchy. Would be great if the creator fixes it, so it doesn't freeze/crash all the time. Would be a definite 4 or 5 stars. Please give it a bit more work.

This program used to work, now I can't get it to import a new book (it finds the book well enough, but won't add it to my library no matter what). Worse still, it somehow deleted the library of over 100 titles I'd built up over the last year. HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME. This program is absolutely and totally broken. I'm not sure how they could take something that worked and completely wreck it:- Books on the bookshelf won't delete (hit the - button and press delete, and presto... NOTHING happens.- Accidently hit "New", then decide not to add something and presto... YOUR STUCK.It's hard to imagine that they didn't deliberately try to make this unusable. I think its time to create an Excel file on my computer because I can't trust this program to keep anything I put into it (it worked for two years), and keeping track of what I've read and what I want to read is way to important to risk to a buggy, untrustworthy app. I know there are lots of good reviews for this, but all it takes is one complete FAILURE to turn all of that to wasted time, and worse lost information.

I took this into a 'specialty' bookstore with me the other day and tried the scanning feature to log books I was interested in. It found pretty much every one except the absolute most obscure. I haven't had much in the way of crashing as other people have complained. The only time mine has crashed is when I hit 'scan' (and let's assume the barcode couldn't be read) and I hit 'cancel' but then come right back about a minute later to try and scan something else. Then it crashes. Now I just leave my scanner open until I pick up my next book to be scanned and it doesn't crash. I haven't been able to do very well with batch scanning, not because it doesn't work, but because it doesn't tell me exactly which book it couldn't find if it happens not to be able to read a barcode. So I basically have to remember everything I scanned while in the store and just go back to look for those specific books. To prevent that, I just scan one at a time. Other than these little things, the app works fine for my needs. Also, the developer is very responsive to support requests. I've seen this app grow so much since back when I first bought it. It's well worth the price to me.

It seems that this app continually breaks due to untested features and hasty patches. Random crashes and bugs seem to be the norm. It (kind of) does what it says, but it is very clunky and painful. Contrary to it's description, it's interface with Mega-reader is not that interfaced as you have to buy that app as a separate add-on. Also, Mega-reader only uses public domain (out of copyright) books, so you will not find 98% of your fav authors. Batch scanning pretty much doesn't work as advertised, likely due to memory issues, which could explain the sluggish performance...As for this app's reviews, read the reviews carefully. Look for the ones that provide substance and are critical, not just those from the developer's iPhone club friends...Compare these reviews with those of other book catalog apps like Book Crawler, My Books, etc.
