Straight up app that works as advertised, but it has two draw backs: 1) Obscure verses taken from the middle of a narrative that makes an inspirational verse kind of odd; for example, Acts 16:8. 2) Not really a true verse of the day since everytime you open the app it is a different verse; would be nice if I could reopen the app throughout the day and have the same verse until the next day.

Contains cherry picked verses only, not a full reference to the bible at all and does not do anything exciting or special with them.I'd like to see some balance with the less poetic and graceful versus.The bits that condone intolerance to women, intolerance to same gender relations, inter family carnal relations, slavery etc

A must have. Have had an iPhone from day one and have never submitted a review... until now. This app is positively stellar. I find myself sitting for long periods of time just browsing. Further, I find many of the verses wonderful to have on hand, as I have 4 teens. Thank you, thank you, thank you and many blessings.

A good app. Definitely worth getting, since it's free. But one thing keeps it from a five-star rating. It does not tell you what bible version the verse is from. They need to change that, perhaps even letting us choose the version. But other than that, this is a good and worthwhile app.
