I was looking forward to B&N ereader for iPhone but only after I had downloaded the application (from the B&N website) and was trying to order some books, did I learn that it is not available for outside US. Too bad they didn't bother to mention that before.

You cant buy ebooks if you live in Sweden, so whats the big idea of having this if you only can read classic books that you can get in other apps!.

I downloaded this and put it on the iPod touch first then started the registration. Once done in the app, I had to do it online with more details but it did not like my strong password. When I tried again, the server was not accessible. 30 seconds and I am ready to dump the app. On a 3rd try we got through. There are some free books, like The Last of the Mohicans, but the purpose is to sell books using the new medium, which is fair enough. I clicked on the James Fennimore Cooper book and it downloaded, taking about 3 minutes: over 1200 pages of clear text, including notes. We slide the screen to the left to turn a page, or tap to see other controls.There are several sections and classifications. Selecting any one takes us to Safari and a search page. OK if you know what you want, but I want to browse as well.

This application let's you read ebooks, some of which come free with the program (only a few). It seems to be designed to make you download more books for which you have to pay. The reading experience is not incredible, and I found it quite difficult to do a simple task such as turning a page.

Caricamento delle pagine lentissimo.. e se x caso vi azzardate a cambiare font o orientamento durante la lettura, si riparte da capo con il caricamento delle pagine... se tutte le applicazioni per leggere ebook fossero così, farebbero fallire all'istante questo nuovo mercato.

In my opinion, this e-reader is far better than Kindle. However, it is very sad that it is completely useless if you are not American or Canadian. It doesn't allow you to purchase if you don't have a north American credit card.

Spent a lot of time downloading this but when I went to purchase an ebook it said it was only available in the U.S.(despite it having asked what country when registering and having Ireland on its list) A major waste of time.

Hier kann ich den App laden doch keine Bücher lesen... sehr schlecht! Ob die Adresse USA ist oder nicht merkt der wo du bist und lässt einem nicht kaufen... B&N - bin ich sehr unzufrieden! wo soll ich als Amerikaner noch gute Bücher auf Englisch kaufen?

The app is great, no doubts, but I've been given only with four books, all after registration. It is not a big problem, but discription must be edited in that case.Bn.com says that there is two preloaded books and four gifted after reistration. Maybe I'm dumb and didn't find preloaded two yet. Oh, There is one problem with app: when I select a word and tap to search it in dictionary, it is always hiding under the search bar, so I need to scroll little down to see it. It happens when word is not in right form, for example when searching for "settings", word "setting" will be under the bar, so you didn't see it unless you scroll.

I bought a book and started to read it on my iPhone. Then i realized that after I "turned a page" it was in the middle of the sentence. But the previous page did not end in the middle of a sentence. So i'm losing something somewhere. I'm missing chunks of the story every time I "turn a page". I don't like the app. If they fix it, maybe it will be OK, but for now, buying a book and not being able to read it is very annoying.
