Reviews:
Failure on part of B&N By: Uncle Rino - Jan 10, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 This app worked well for a short period. By another book and it dies. I wish O had donated the cost of the second book to a charity. Barnes & Noble is on the verge of losing my future business for anything.
Very disappointing By: mcqsun99 - 21-Aug-2009 Version: 1.0 Highly annoyed that it won't allow purchases from Canada without a US mailing address. Others US ereaders don't seem to have the same problem... If B&N are serious about getting into eBooks then they need to do something about this very soon.
B&N eReader By: bubblelu - Jan 9, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 Exccellent product. I have not encountered any bugs as others have mentioned. Works well and has many useful options. Instructions need improving but I managed to muddle through it by trial and error. Otherwise a great product.
US only By: mgl2 - 5-Aug-2009 Version: 1.0 I order from bn from time to time and have my order shipped to canada. But they make no effort to tell you that they can't give you an ebook until you check out. Lame.
Poor App. By: Atwhitz - Jan 9, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 This app. is not working.worked once and not since. Now have an unreadable e-book. Thank you for useless app.
Wast of time By: AalAli - 2-Aug-2009 Version: 1.0 After spending 1/2 hr browsing book theb finding ons to buy, it did not accept my Canadian visa address! Needs American only! Waste of time
Please fix By: ShellySays - Jan 9, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 I've been loving this App, until now :-( just purchased a book before the crash, would really love to read it. Someone help!
American billing address By: Grainneuaile - 24-Jul-2009 Version: 1.0 It didn't work here in sunny Canada. I was so excited at the possibility of using google's project guthrnberg since there was a vast array of poetry availabe. So I eagerly downloaded the app and filled out the rrquied info. Only to be rejected with a " must have an American billing address" error! So why is it in the Canadian app store?
Program has a workaround... By: jojojod - Jan 9, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 This app will work if do not close out the program from the book page screen. Mark your page, select 'books' to take you back to your book list, then close the program. It will open normally the next time you use it. This at least allows you to read any books you may have purchased before finding out the app was a piece of crap, like I did. Once I finish my last book, I will delete this app and never use it again. The Kindle app is head and shoulders above B&N's anyway.
Nice app but... By: Mielle528 - 17-Jul-2009 Version: 1.0 No ebook available yet online. 2 ebooks in the app works well. Can't wait to see their e-store!
App is Win. By: Czuch - Jan 9, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 I really like the App. I mean, you have to have Wifi to buy books, which requires a creditcard or B&N Giftcard, and it does that through the web browser *lame*. however, once you get your books, its an Awesome Reader. it has a built in Dictionary too, no Wifi needed for that. so this App is a free dictionary, and a really Awesome Reader. Cant wait to get some money and get down to reading more than Samples :D if you like to read, know how to read, can spell read or just know what reading is, get this App. its Beast. its free, its 4 megabytes. good for cheating on vocab quizzes. or reading the Hitchhikers Guide :D

Seems to be working for me By: Cacophany - Jan 11, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 I was hesitant to try out this app, given all the problems discussed in the reviews. But I gave it a shot anyway and all seems to be working fine. I have purchased and downloaded a book, have opened and closed the book, closed the ereader, restarted it and reopened the book. I've had none of the problems that many of the other reviewers have had.I also have Stanza on my iPod Touch and while I think that Stanza is a more full-featured ereader, their books are far more expensive than B&N.
I have to what? By: LisaMK - Jan 10, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 Seriously, Stanza beats all other forms of ebooks. I have to go dig out my credit card just to read? Major unfriendly app.

Still broken? Wow, guys... By: pandapuffs - Jan 9, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 Okay, B&N. Hire someone who knows the mobile dev market. Have THEM hire an iphone app rockstar dev for a well-paid, portfolio-boosting contract. Then have them fix this damned app! You are Barnes & Noble! You want the nook to be a Kindle-killer, right? Well, a totally broken phone app, part of the nook package now, is going to do nothing but stymie your efforts. Ahem. Anyhow, yes, this app is totally broken for me as well. I did see the main page the very first time I opened it, but I tried to go to a book and it crashed. Every subsequent time I've opened it it freezes on a white loading page. My boyfriend and I call it my new flashlight app.
Crashes By: shyeri - Jan 8, 2010 Version: 1.1.1 I have an iPhone and the ereader just crashes. If bn wants us to buy the nook just say so and dump this app. Thank goodness I didn't spend money on books for this reader.
