Reviews:
Buggy! By: Itouch fan3 - Nov 29, 2009 Version: 1.0 Can't even shop for books. Crashes everytime I hit Shop For Books option.
Bad app By: Monkey8649 - Nov 29, 2009 Version: 1.0 This app is time consuming (any change in font or text size) and offers little. Stanza (free app) far outshines this frustrating app. However, some ebooks are not available from Stanza's sources that are available at B&N. After trying this app, I decided not to buy a book I really wanted that was not available from Stanza's sources. This app is so time consuming and frustrating, I deleted it.
By: txrag - Nov 29, 2009 Version: 1.0 I think I might actually like this app if I could use it. It crashes every single time I access it.
If It Only Worked By: BorxTheMercurial - Nov 28, 2009 Version: 1.0 The app would be MUCH better if it actually let me log into my B&N account, instead of giving me an "unexpected response from the server" message.
Menu By: Linzbenet4250 - Nov 28, 2009 Version: 1.0 I used to love this app but recently when I try to go from the book to the menu my phone crashes. :(
Impossible To Use By: Robin Debobiner - Nov 26, 2009 Version: 1.0 Not at all intuitive. It supposedly included a few free sample books, but I could never get them to open up for me... also couldn't figure out how to delete them. I'm a web developer, so I'm usually pretty good at figuring these sorts of things out. I found this app to be a huge disappointment and impossible to use. I deleted it after fumbling around with it for fifteen minutes.
Wow By: Famous lee - Nov 23, 2009 Version: 1.0 It is the most greatest readers ever I have read amazing books on the e-reader.
Badly needs an upgrade By: rmg1975 - Nov 21, 2009 Version: 1.0 Hello? Might want to finesse your iPhone app BeFoRe nook gets released...!? Get on with it!
Deal killer prices By: dansreviewoffavorater - Nov 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 Kindle could go to school on this app - very good design. But I'll never use it until the book prices come down out of fantasy land.
Best reader so far By: Skivatz - Nov 19, 2009 Version: 1.0 Easy to use. Many fonts. Tap word and look up in dictionary.
Almost there... By: SuperK! - Nov 18, 2009 Version: 1.0 This could be the best reader out there IF we had the option to read text files (PDF,DOC...) very easy to use! I really hope to see this feature in the next version. It would make this app very, very popular.
Thank you! By: Zfzfzfzfzfzf - Nov 17, 2009 Version: 1.0 This is the only e reader app that allows you to click on words and look them up in the dictionary.
Pretty neat but.... By: Jhawker89 - Nov 17, 2009 Version: 1.0 The books are a tad bit pricey and the user interface isn't very friendly. The things I highlight can't be "unhighlighted" and I'm not sure where the notes end up. I'm sure there's an upgrade in the works, other than that I'm enjoying the free classics that come with it.
Horible By: Bobmaster8998225 - Nov 14, 2009 Version: 1.0 What the f...!
books are too expensive By: iOwnzYou96 - Nov 14, 2009 Version: 1.0 not a bad reader app but book prices are a bit high.
Meh.... By: Lazyphatman - Nov 11, 2009 Version: 1.0 Books are too expensive and the controls need a lot of polish. Go for great books mega collection. Tons of classics for two bucks.
Not well advertised… By: Bass_Robot - Nov 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 Seems like it has thousands of free books to read but AFTER I downloaded it AND made an account I find out I comes with like 5 random books you've never heard of… you have to buy books…
LOVE IT By: blonde_baybgurl2000 - Nov 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 Got exactly what I wanted and it's free!!! Great to read anything you want, whenever, where ever!!!
prices of books too high By: Nancy293 - Nov 10, 2009 Version: 1.0 the app is fine, but the books are too much $
Thank you! By: Jordandogg - Nov 9, 2009 Version: 1.0 I have never written a review before, but this app deserves one. I really liked ereader, but struggled buying books because I can't spend $20 on a book I'm not sure I want. I've always been the one spending countless hours thumbing through books to find that one that makes me excited to own.The Barnes and Noble app gives me that option online. I will buy many more books through b&n because I have the opportunity to get a sample before I spend. Other readers should offer this feature!
Google Books? By: G_Nazianzus - Nov 9, 2009 Version: 1.0 Why won't it read books that originate with Google? I got the free Summa Theologica (from Google) through B&N but it doesn't show up in my library on my phone. The Nook is supposedly going to be able to read these docs, so why not this app?
