Das Programm unterstützt entgegen diverser Meldungen auf der Homepage und dem englischsprachigen Appstore nicht den offenen Standard WebDAV, sondern lediglich die WebDAV-Kommunikation mit einigen auserwählten Anbietern.Ich wollte meine Passwörter auf einen privaten WebDAV-Server backuppen. Leider scheint es nur eine Sync-Funktion zu geben (Sprich: ich muss irgendwo gleichzeitig einen anderen Client aufmachen) und außerdem ist die Auswahl des Anbieters stark beschränkt. Also Fehlanzeige. Das Programm ist hübsch, eventuell auch "sicher" aber ohne echte Backup-option für mich sinnlos.

I tried anumber of apps and found this the best and most versitile off them all. I was particularlly looking for an app with a windows companion that I could sync/back up to and I've found the DataVault iPhone and windows apps work very well together. I live the way you can sync both programmes over a wireless connection. This works very well and is extreamly easy to set up.On the iPhone app I particually like to way you can add phone numbers for your bank etc and then phone directly form the app. It's also fairly easy to swap back to DataVault form within an phone call.The password generator also workes well. It allowes you to select the length/type of characters in the password.

If you are like me and have several different passwords then, this App is a must have for you! I purchased not only the App the the program for my MacBook Pro. I did have a couple questions along the way due to syncing with my MobileMe. I emailed them and before I knew it, I had my answer back. They followed up to make sure things correctly. The layout is very friendly and easy to use. You won't be sorry.

Do NOT buy this app … it does not sync AND tech support is hopeless.You can bundle DataVault in the same hopeless category as SplashID … there is a serious issue with Windows apps trying to cut it with iPhones.With the iPhone app I consistently receive an error message saying “Connection refused”. I run a home wi-fi network with Norton 360 firewall and antivirus. The router also has a firewall.My iPhone DOES connect to the network and I happily use a couple of dozen other apps over the network.Everything on my system is up-to-date … iTunes, Bonjour, Norton 360.I have disabled Norton … no sync; I have completely uninstalled Norton … no sync.On a couple of occasions I have been able to sync is with an ad hoc network (without password)… but crazy things happen like it fails to connect minutes later using the same ad hoc network approach!Tech support is pathetic. You get an email response once a day with an inane question or an inane suggestion. They even wrote back “so Data Vault is not the issue, right?” What a joke!I have offered them remote access to my desktop to see for themselves … no response.They cannot even specify what network/firewall settings are required … they just say “it must be a configuration problem”. That’s right! But what is the required configuration???Trawl the net and you will see hundreds of other users having problems with wi-fi connection. Look here and you will see other users having problems.And even if you think you will be lucky and can sync with this app beware … the records don’t store URLs as clickable links! Big BAD! Even SplashID does this and has done so for years!DataVault is a DUD.

I looked at all the password apps and picked this one - for the number of features it offers. First I wanted a local synchronization with my Desktop and it offers a number of ways. I also wanted customizable categories, entry types, and fields; as well as a tree view & list view. Support is also very helpful & prompt. What I hope they develop is a better interface on the desktop - put the field names and values in columns (and different fonts or backgrounds) for readablity; ability to move fields up and down; select fields for list view. Otherwise, great app.

Tout y est dans cette application. Il serait cependant très utile de pouvoir ajouter des icones supplémentaires et ne pas etre limité à 10 lignes par items.La synchronisation avec la version desktop fonctionne parfaitement.Pas de crash depuis que je l'utilise.

Habe einen Monat lang brav alle meine Daten eingegeben und nach dem letzten update funktioniert das Programm nicht mehr und alle Daten sind futsch. Suche mir jetzt auch was anderes. Leider keine Minusbewertung möglich!

This software ist just useful: It lets you store sensitive information in a secure way (hopefully, I didn't try to hack it...) and refind it quickly. I'd buy it another time...

Benutze DataVault auf dem Iphone schon länger, habe nun auch die desktop-Variante (Windows) gekauft.Übertragen vom Iphone per WiFi: Schnell und Perfekt!Importieren von etlichen Datensätzenaus PasswordSave Ver. 5 : Schnell und Perfekt! Die Oberfläche ist halt nicht so Hochglanzpoliert wie PasswordSave,aber dafür klappt alles reibungslos.

I store my bank logins and the like, so I didn’t want to leave it to chance. Data Vault fit the bill by offering robust synchronization capabilities. I chose to sync via SwissDisk, a free Webdav service, because it was the fastest of the lot. Setup was facilitated by a comprehensive online user guide. I sent a question to support and received a prompt response. All-in-all, quite satisfied with this app.

Excellent password app

This is a well-developed app, lots of options, two ways to display password lists, multiple view themes and a million fields to customize. Bought Windows version too - sync is pretty simple to do and quick. (Any reviewer that can't figure out sync'ing shouldn't own a computer or iphone...go buy a blackboard & some chalk)

The ability to import from CSV, the flexibility of column naming, the ease at which to edit and create entries all go a long, long way. It is an excellent app. one thing I would recommend is cleaning up the WebDAV synch, which is a little unfriendly. Some hint of MobileMe synch progress would make this a 5 star app. Thanks for it!!

Pour synchroniser vers PC, il faut une appli en + à presque 10€ et rien ne fontionne ! Synchro impossible. Site de l'éditeur très mal conçu et navigation nulle. Cette appli est optimisée pour les utilisateurs blackberry ! Si vous avez 20 € à balancer par la fenêtre...

Seit dem Update des Programmes, crasht die Applikation am iPhone 3 GS (OS3.1.2) ständig. Sync ist nicht mehr möglich.Danke für den Super Update - ich schau mich um ein anderes Programm um!Bis jetzt gibt es lt. Hersteller keine Bewertung ( kein Wunder) und auch keine Reaktion. Am Besten nichts von dieser Firma kaufen!Hab' den Sh.. deinstalliert!

Ich habe die Free-Version getestet und das Produkt funktionierte soweit auch gut. Ich entschloss mich, die Pay-Version zu kaufen, scheiterte aber kläglich am Aktivieren des Lizenzschlüssels. Nach mehrmaligem Schreiben an den Support sind nun 3 Wochen verstrichen und ich kann das Produkt immer noch nicht voll nutzen, da ich immer noch keinen gültigen Schlüssel erhalten habe. Mein Rat: Finger weg, denn der Support verdient den Namen nicht und Konkurrenzprodukt installieren.

Meine Anforderungen waren - lauffähig auf iPhone, iPad, Mac und Pc (Windows7 x64)- sichere Verschlüsselung auch bei der Synchronisation- nach Möglichkeit Importfunktion für Code Wallet DateienNICHT erfüllt haben diese Anfoderungen trotz anderst lautender Werbung Data Vault und PasswordWallet. Bei BEIDEN war die Synchronisation nicht möglich. Data Vault startete außerdem grottenlangsam auf dem iPad. Der Support reagierte NICHT auf Fehlermeldungen, dass die Synchronisation zwischendurch abbrach (nur Kategorien und Typen wurden synchronisiert, nicht aber die eigentlichen Passwort Items). SPB Wallet importierte zunächst über 500 Datensätze aus Code Wallet klaglos (selbst Notizen mit ein wenig kruden Trennzeichen wurden importiert und wenn der Importer sie nicht zuordnen konnte eben als eigene zusätzliche Datensätze abgelegt. Data Vault war schon daran übrigens grandios gescheitert, wurde aber weiter getestet, weil die Prio dieser Anforderung nicht ganz so hoch war.Die Version von SPB Wallet fürs iPhone funzt auch auf dem iPad, zwar nur im unschönen Portrait-Modus inkl. Vergrößerungsfunktion, aber die Anforderung lauffähige Version für alle vier Plattformen war entsprechend erfüllt.Superklasse fand ich allerdings die Synchronisation, an der die beiden Konkurrenten kläglich gescheitert waren (PasswordWallet für den PC gibt übrigens erst nach der Installation das Geheimnis preis, dass in der aktuell erhältlichen Version 4.5 beta noch gar keine Synchronisations-Funktion enthalten ist.)SPB Wallet erlaubt die Synchronisation über Bonjour, die sowohl mit Mac als auch mit PC schnell zuverlässig und mit bequemem Konfliktlösungsverfahren funktioniert. Dazu kommt die Möglichkeit einfach Dateien zu synchronisieren (eine Funktion, die ich in Code Wallet immer schmerzlich vermisste) sowie die Möglichkeit der Synchronisation über Googlemail, die ich besonders jetzt im Urlaub, wo ich weder PC noch MAC dabei habe, aber iPhone und iPad weiterhin zueinander synchron halten möchte, zu schätzen weiß.Fazit: SPB Wallet wird für die nächsten Jahre meine Top No 1 als Safe Harbour für Passworte und PINs sein.Einziger Wermutstropfen, die Copy/Paste Funktionen in allen Programmversionen könnten auf mehr, als nur der alleruntersten (bearbeiten) Ebene unterstützt werden und auch sonst wären ein paar Standardfunktionalitäten nicht unangebracht (unter Windos sollte F2 z.B. Die Möglichkeit geben, das gerade markierte Element umzubenennen usw. - am Komfort liese sich also durchaus noch was verbessern.

I started using DataVault for BlackBerry many years ago and have switched to the iPhone. The switch was easy with no problems. Would recommend to anyone using this to manage your passwords.
