Reviews:
Needs to be faster By: Machine King - Sep 2, 2009 Version: 0.1 It's ok but needs faster load time
its good By: Vinny19888887 - Sep 2, 2009 Version: 0.1 its good apps but it need to improve some features...
Good Interface By: davidmac6 - Sep 1, 2009 Version: 0.1 Good Mobile Interface
Half Baked By: PolishReign - Sep 1, 2009 Version: 0.1 Better than nothin, but not great either...
Excellent App By: Pongdadong - Sep 1, 2009 Version: 0.1 Sure iwiki has landscape but this app is free. Might need a little tweaking but atleast you don't have to spend 0.99 or a 1.99 for an unofficial copy-cat app of the real deal.
It's interesting By: Tommy the Gun - Aug 31, 2009 Version: 0.1 Needs work but glad to see the app. Final version will be great to have. Also got How to Get Out of a Traffic Ticket like I've seen advertised. Worth having!
Iwiki is better By: wqerty no2 - Aug 31, 2009 Version: 0.1 You can go into landscape, save pages, set bookmarks on iwiki and this is just a (slower)browser of wiki and can do neither of that..
3rd Party Apps Are Better By: AlexMBeach - Aug 31, 2009 Version: 0.1 The third party apps for Wikipedia are much better right now. This version is very slow and cumbersome compared to other Wiki apps available. Hopefully, they will mimic some of the stuff already on the market.
Basic and slow By: RADEN305 - Aug 31, 2009 Version: 0.1 The app is just like the mobile site but slower. I'm hopeful that future updates will improve the app greatly since it's open source. In the meantime, I'll stick with iWiki.
Horrible By: NSW550 - Aug 30, 2009 Version: 0.1 This app is too slow, no book marks, and no landscape. WIKIPANION is sooooooo superior!! Safari mode is not bad either.
It should get better over time By: Jon Garrett - Aug 30, 2009 Version: 0.1 this is the first verion of this app so I expect it will get better with updates.
Why soooo slow? By: sontee - Aug 30, 2009 Version: 0.1 I use the safari version all the time and Im used to the nirmal speedy response, this app is waaaay slow, really makes it useless compared to the basic safari alternate
Don't believe the haters By: Mr Blifil - Aug 30, 2009 Version: 0.1 Low ratings are from people with an agenda. This is a necessary app. MUCH faster than being bumped by Safari to the mobile page. Ever since Wikipedia introduced the mobile layout, I've wanted an iPhone app to cut out the middleman. That wish has been granted. For 98.9% of users, this app is all you need. Bravo.
Poorly programmed By: Dakined1 - Aug 30, 2009 Version: 0.1 The app is a good concept, but terribly executed. It distorts/cuts tables and other graphs, limiting it's use.
You may as well use Safari.
The Same By: Titriem - Aug 30, 2009 Version: 0.1 It's exactly the same as the mobile site, while I like the simplicity and speed of the app, I wish the interface was more like wikiamo were you can search the page from anywhere in it rather than the top. Also I like wikiamo's ability to skip to sections faster rather than hiding and showing them and having to scroll past the introduction. Also you can change languages in wikiamo. However, this app is both faster and more reliable than wikiamo, but it's interface is worse.
Way too slow By: XBond - Aug 30, 2009 Version: 0.1 Was excited to see this but I agree with other reviews that mention the speed and performance. Even when connected to WiFi this app is simply way too slow. I mean really slow. Much much quicker to use Safari.
Hopefully this will get fixed in an update soon.
Good By: Travis Amiel - Aug 29, 2009 Version: 0.1 I think this app is pretty good, it isn't perfect but it's good to see some open source apps.
Finally Wiki in my pocket ! By: Dr Snickers - Aug 29, 2009 Version: 0.1 Wowww..
Slow App By: GueroDawg - Aug 29, 2009 Version: 0.1 You're better off using the moblie site on Safari. The app takes time to start up and too long to show results.
Excellent! By: geekwithsoul - Aug 29, 2009 Version: 0.1 Much better than many of the other wikipedia apps I've tried - app is especially quick and responsive compared to the others.
Disappointing By: benwulf - Aug 29, 2009 Version: 0.1 I love the website but I don't understand the interest of the app. The main thing I was looking for was the capability to consult wikipedia when offline. This would of course require some synchronization ability too.
As it stand it is not even as good as the website as I can't visit equivalent articles in another language
