Great By: Nicomic - 24-Sep-2009 Version: 2.0 In my opinion this is the best RSS client out there. It is slick, intuitive, and it has all the needed functions. The icon is great as well!
Superapp!
Joooolll By: cybermode - 23-Sep-2009 Version: 2.0 Mola pero petardea un webu!!!!
Pathetic By: dimitriz - 21-Oct-2009 Version: 2.0.1 it is pathetic to ask money for a app that doesn't offer nothing but add free feed daemon rocks this app sucks I only bought it because I use news gator for years and I need an rss app to sync the fact that all the products that newsgator offer are free with no adds and stable is something they sould keep
Works only with Google Account? By: manuelmagic - 26-set-2009 Version: 2.0 [ENG]Does it work only with google reader? It's a way to sync with NetNewsWire for mac without google account or not?[ITA]Funziona solo con account google oppure è possibile sincronizzare i feed con il lettore per mac in altro modo?
Excellent service ruined by a poor crashy app By: Macminifan12345 - 03-Oct-2009 Version: 2.0 Version 1 was good, this v2.0 is not. It crashes often and will not restart without being removed and reinstalled.
uferdig By: an-ders - 24-Sep-2009 Version: 2.0 Virket fint i noen timer, men nå krasjer den under oppstarten.
Nice, but missing an "read all unread" feature By: djsuicidedive - 18-Oct-2009 Version: 2.0.1 Integration is quite nice. Seems like the "clippings" have not made it in, but I guess the "flagged" aka "starred" feature is just as useful. What I am missing though is some way to just get a list of all unread messages. It would also be nice to make it more transparent if all read/unread flags have been send to the server.
Great app, but some bugs and missing features. By: mattiasottosson - 23-Sep-2009 Version: 2.0 I got some bug that make feeds appear outside of their category. This doesn't happen in google reader or on the desktop version of netnewswire. I may be blind, but i'm missing a settings tab, where you can update your account settings etc. It would have been nice to have a add and remove feeds-feature as well.
Love this app By: twenty3 - Nov 11, 2009 Version: 2.0.1 I've switched almost all my RSS consumption from the desktop to the phone thanks to NetNewsWire. I love the Google integration and use this app every day without any problems.
The.Moray By: The.Moray - 07-Nov-2009 Version: 2.0 Used to be the best. Now rubish rubish rubish
Great interface and that's about it. By: pscoutou - 2-Nov-2009 Version: 2.0.1 The interface is very clean, very minimalist and there's some very nice touches. My favorite -- when you're viewing your categories, tap on the far left to expand, showing all the feeds within individually. Tap on the far right to view all posts from your feed in a combined view. You can customize which feeds you want to view on your iPhone. And unlike Byline, it'll sync and display feeds that are not in any specific category in your Google Reader. That being said, there's bugs galore. It doesn't refresh properly when you're swiping back and forth from category view to individual articles or the main screen. So you're left with clicking back and forth until the app finally decides to refresh correctly. It also crashes very frequently, resulting in a very poor user experience. I really hope Newsgator fixes these bugs NOW as when NNW actually works, it's a great experience.
Des améliorations! Ouf!! By: Application décevante - 10 nov.
Pretty good By: Smartygus - 28-Sep-2009 Version: 2.0 I was a long time user of NNW V1, but had pretty much abandoned using it for the past few months because I found it became a bit unusable. Ended up reading most of my feeds on the computer instead. Once NNW beta for Mac switched over to Google Reader, I switched my feeds over, and was just waiting for the iPhone update.Had used the Google Reader iPhone web interface a bit in the meantime, but it wasn't as good as a native App.What I was really looking for in the NNW update was the following:-1. Better performance. NNW V1 just became a drag towards the end of my usage & that was one of the main reasons I stopped using it.2. Instapaper Support. This may not be for everyone, but for me this is key. I would rather skim quickly thru feeds in small pockets of free time and if anything piques my interest, queue it up to read later when I have more time. Instapaper is perfect for this. This was tedious on V1 because I had to open in Safari, invoke Instapaper bookmarklet, & then switch back to NNW. Big hassle.3. Better management of feeds. On NNW V1 you could remove feeds from the iPhone so that they wouldn't sync, but no way to get them back from the device. Also wanted to be able to subscribe to new feeds. But the biggest change I wanted in this area was to be able to re-order the view of feeds so I could put my most often-read feeds at the top.Well, the report on 2.0 goes as follows:-1. Good improvement. Syncing seems a lot faster, and navigation of the App seems quite snappy (I'm on a 3GS though so that probably helps). Some visuals are a little slow to refresh, especially after a feed(s) is hidden for example, but as I don't expect to do that much after the initial setup so it's probably not a huge issue. Imrovements can be made in this area I'm sure, but I'm happy with this aspect for now.2. Not much to say other than the support is there & it has worked flawlessly for me so far. Very happy.3. Has improved, but still a way to go. Can now show/hide feeds pretty easily, so if I wanted to bring a feed back to my iPhone that was previously hidden I can. As for the other two points, I guess we're not there yet. Can't subscribe to new feeds — although I can technically accomplish this in Safari via Google Reader, it would be nice to add feeds in-App. I think Instapaper Pro's browse-to-a-site-and-autodetect-feed feature is quite nice & would love something similar in NNW. Alas, it is still not possible to re-order feeds in the list. I do really hope this is on the feature roadmap, although I don't believe there is anyway to sync the order of feeds from NNW Mac to NNW iPhone because as best I can tell, Google Reader doesn't support re-ordering of feeds either (unless I missed it - I'll admit I haven't used the web interface extensively). Manual re-order would suffice anyway. As for the reliability (which does seem to be a focus in other reviews)? Well, yes it has crashed on me a couple of times, but I wouldn't say it's constant — far from it. This is two point *zero* — there are bound to be bugs that crop up here and there, & I'm sure 2.0.1 will be forthcoming soon enough with fixes for the most critical of these. Some people seem to expect perfect and bug-free software, which these days is probably a bit of a fantasy. Do I wish it was rock-solid? Sure. But without making excuses for him, I think the developer has quite a lot on his plate with the developement of NNW for Mac & iPhone as well as other Newsgator projects, so all things considered I think this is a pretty good update from V1. I'm sure any creases will be ironed out soon, and with further updates over time this will mature into a top-class mobile feed reader.I eagerly await future updates, but am enjoying feed-reading on the go once again.
Skuffende ny version! Opdatering - please!
Fantastic Google Reader Client By: Isaac Heron - 23.09.2009 Version: 2.0 Thanks a lot for this great app!
Käyttökelvoton By: tobias_lo - 25-Sep-2009 Version: 2.0 NNW on tällä hetkellä käyttökelvoton. Se onnistuu näyttämään vain muutaman Google Readeriin tilaamistani feedeistä, minkä lisäksi UI jättää paljon toivomisen varaa. Päivitystä odotellessa.
