When I first purchased my IPhone I didn't know that I couldn't send multimedia. I was bumbed because I couldn't share my pictures with my family. Having a 6 year old son, I had used my old phone to take pictures and send them to my Mom, Dad, and Sister. When I found quip it was an answer to my prayers. Now after a few years I can finally send my pictures to my family again. Thank you again for such a great application. Keep up the good work.

Not the most perfect delivery method, but 1. Solved wife's issue with iPhone picture messaging (now need something to solve problem with incoming picture messages) 2. Makes up for it by making it rediculously easy to send pic messages. It's almost like an Apple included function. It did take a while though to figure out that to save the picture to an iPhone you have to hold your finger on the image. Cool.

This is the best if you text pics a lot

Finally, an app that let's me text pics from my iphone 3g that my friends can actually open. I've tried for months to find this but all of them were too time consuming for therecipient that they never opened the mms. With quip, when u send a pic, the recipient gets a text that tells them it's from you, and to click on the blue quip link & in 2 seconds in opens & there it is. I've never written a review b4 but I had to tell people to get it if u send pic texts alot, and apple has never given that option.

Just got the newest update for quip, wanting to compare it with MMS and I have to say, it's still the better option. There still aren't MMS charges for my friends and it doesn't take away from my monthly text message allocation by AT&T. The interface is much easier to use then having to send an mms from the default apple messages app. There are far fewer clicks which makes a big difference when you just want to send a picture. The added inbox feature is an awesome addition too -- it really makes this app feel complete. If you haven't downloaded the app at all, get it. If you have, make sure you download the update.

A Step Up from Email

My wife much prefers me to SMS photos to her on her iPhone, rather than email, because she does not get push notifications for email.
It will let you add a short message to the photo, which is invaluable. Sending preexisting photos from the roll is also very useful.
My iphone did crash once while using this and listening to music at the same time, while it was saving a photo, but otherwise it worked great.
Based on trying this out, it is worth the $4.99 it will ultimately cost. To be perfectly honest though, I would not have tried it out if it cost that much. A free version with ads placed beneath the photos you send would be interesting to see, perhaps from a competitor.

Wow....I was very skeptical in purchasing this program. So many of them fool you into thinking you can send pictures and take video even, but Quip does what it says. You can send picture messages to anyone who has an internet connection on their phone (no matter the service). It's awesome and I recommend it to everyone who has an iphone!
All it needs is to have an update where you can be able to view the message you send and to be able to send it to people who are not on your contact list. Besides that it's really usefull.

I've tried several other "work-arounds" for MMS on the iPhone, usually without success. This application has made near-native MMS possible on the iPhone! It has worked flawlessly for me since the beginning. Almost no set-up required, no registration etc. Works well over wi-fi, 3g, and is actually pretty snappy over EDGE as well. Photos are sent as text messages (they DONT count against your text message count!), with a link for the recipient to follow to see the pic you sent. Works on any phone that has Internet access. At .99 cents, you WONT be sorry! Try it, and send pics to your friends & family quickly and easily! WAY easier than e-mailing pictures and then sending separate text messages to let them know they have mail! LOL. Good job guys, THANKS!

I love that this gives a link that you touch and there is your photo. To do need to have Internet or the 3g running but it's great. I hated it when people will send me a picture message and then att gives you a link, code, and password. It takes forever and was my biggest issue with the iPhone. (well, and that there is no turn by turn SPEAKING gps). This makes picture messaging from your iPhone easy.

This app works great, even in low signal areas. It fixes the one thing I dont like about the i-phone... lack of ability to attach/send pics with a text message. While this one takes you to another site to view the picture, it is convenient, works quickly and you can choose the recipient directly from your contact list. Best app I have so far and there are lots. Eventually I-phone will fix the obvious multi-media text deficit (ALL other phones have it) unrill then there's QUIP.

New iPhone owner and working as a firefighter in California. As my crew loaded a kid into a helicopter for the ride to the hospital I snapped a couple of pics as the loading took place. As the helo took off I asked the kid's Dad for his email address so I could send him the pics. He didn't have one so he asked that I send them to his cell phone. Gave me his cell phone number but now what to do? Call my 15 year old son and get this program recommnded to me. Worked great - Thanks Addy Mobile

This App makes it easy to send images to your friends from the iPhone through an SMS with a link to your picture. It's great when your friend's phone has the ability to click a link in the SMS, however, if they can't, or they don't have Internet access on their phone it won't be helpful. However, this is the perfect answer to not having MMS on the iPhone. The upgrade has made it more stable and easier to add text to the image you're sending.

U either take a picture while the app is running, or simple run the app to find a picture you want to send, then the recipient is given a site to simply click on, and the picture pops up. Two comments: 1) It would be great if the recipient simply got the photo directly, but doubt that this is possible...? Who knows?? 2) I wish this app could be used for receiving Picts instead of having to type some impossible-to-memorize code.... I believe this app is only for sending picts... But I could be wrong...! This app is cheap, does what it says, and smooth to use, so I give it 5 stars

This app is such a howl! My friends get THE biggest kick out of my combining it with Faces Wild or Squirrels. So many of them end up on FB as their profile photos, so I'm sure to "tweek" them around a bit for more laughs. Friends say it's nice to have a good laugh out of my comments. Excellent app and have rarely had a problem except during high usage times. I can't understand the negative comments because mine works great!

while this app isn't exactly mms, its a few steps up from emailing pictures, esp. for friends who don't use a phone that they tie their email to. What i was really happy to see was the simple feedback button within the app. haven't seen an app with such easy access to the developers for comments, and its nice to see people who care enough to include this as such an obvious feature on their product. give this a shot, works as advertised and is much better than any alternatives.

Not quite MMS, but works well from one iPhone to another. Some of my friends don't have browsers on their cell phones so it obviously doesn't work for them. Would also be nice for iPhone user to receive from an iPhone in the app itself with a notification, but of course Apple hasn't delivered on it's promise to provide push notifications for the iPhone yet. I'm glad someone is trying to address the MMS "problem."

It isn't a replacement for MMS but it's a start. It gets a picture to someone else via testing but, as has been said, the recipient must have web access as it sends a link to view the picture. I haven't had any problems with the recipient to getting the link. Now that you know how it works, either buy it or don't, but don't say it's a huge waste of money ($1... Come on) because you're dumb and can't read.

this app is great. my buddy advised me he got everyone I sent to him. the only thing that baffles me is there is no ability to edit your name that the other person sees when they receive the message. I had a simple typo and now I cannot change that. If there is a way, I dont know how to do it. It could be more clearly written if it is possible. Other than that, its a great app and I got mine for $1. great $1 spent. -bt

I really like this app. I've spent quite a bit of money in useless apps and this one gave me my money worth. I've send photos that I took with this app and photos that I had saved in my library and it has always worked great. I've sent photos to friends whom use T-mobile, Sprint, and Verizon with out a problem. So why is it that I gave it four stars rather than five? Because you can only send a mms message to one person at a time and only one photo at a time. I really don't mind the one photo at a time too much, but I wish that you could sent it to multiple receivers at the same time. May be there's a way but I haven't found it yet, but if there's a way, they need to make it easier to find because I haven't figured it out yet and I'm very good at figuring out and using electronics. Over all, it's a pretty cool app worth the money I paid. So far I haven't found another app for mms that works better.

Well everything is good except for thee few things: •U can't recieve pic messages from anyone who doesn't have an iPhone. (please fix this imedialtly) •U need Internet (not that big of a deal). Every thing else including these few things are good. •Very Very fast •1st application like this •Good price •Nice setup •You can send a pic to ANYONE. Good job on making this. Finaly!!! But plz UPDATE soon. Worth the money.

Well all I have to say it's about time!!! Though it's not built in my iPhone and and u have to purchase it for 99 cents it was totally worth it! Now I can send pics to my friends and family for free no hassel it's soooo seat and simple to use! Listen u can either take a photo or Look in your library then u select the pic u want then pick the contact then it'll send in under 20-25 seconds it's great and totally AWESOME!! But I gave it only 4*'s because the first time after got the app I sent to pic to my aunt to see if it works so I called her and she said nothing came to me yet 7 minutes later...she called and said it came so it takes a lil time but it's worth it!!!
